Someone pls put memory in order, from best to worst:
samsung, micron, hynix, elpida
From my xp, there is no really rules.
I've only Samsung and Hynix, and i've good and bad values in both.
My best cards are on Samsung.

Hi guys
currently I'm running version 9.7 with my 3 ASUS 580 Dual OC 8GB but the third card is giving me low rates (ETH + SIA). Any advice?

How do you manage voltage and frequencies?

We have the same exact cards so I would agree that you should check if Crossfire has accidentally been enabled -  as this is usually the case if you're upgrading drivers as AMD like to enable them by default each and every time.

What's your GPU settings? Did you just copy 1750 > 2000 timings?
Reason is that I'm running 6x right now and with my settings, I get 28.5 tops per card @ current DAG and 540 Mh/s for sia @ 125w GPU-Z tdp.

nobody said there were even any hashrate improvements in the new version.

Under "Features", it has the same points from v9.7 (increased hashrate of 3-5%) which caused me pause as well. Apparently that claim only applies to 9.6>9.7 ?

Since the same original post seems to be used with each update (I see pros and cons with that), it can lead to some confusion.

my asus strix r7 370 4gb gpu is very slow hashing. is there any solution? i tried some gpu bios mods but the gpus are always lower hash rate. thank you
Mine Expanse or other "low-age" dagger coins
Zec is good also (should get ~ 180h/s)

I totaly agree with nvidia ..... stats sometimes even Micron is beter then samsung Smiley all 1080ti.s that i have are Micron

Isn't GDDR5X only produced by Micron?

Did anyone actually get any difference/improvements with v9.8 over v9.7 for GTX 1060 6GB cards? I don't see any difference at all  Roll Eyes

Who said there were improvements for 1060's in 9.8?

For RX560, Micron is way way better than Hynix, still didn't see Samsung on them

For example 8GB mostly works good on every card except ASUS 480 8GB wich is the worst card ever. (still need to check 580 version, but I bet it's same crap)

Not the case here, i have 6xAsus 480 8gb samsung cards , 3 fan edition, and i can say those are the best cards i have (and i have nitro+oc 8gb samsung etc..).
3 months since i modded and run them (were giving 30.3mhs back then), and from then it's working like a charm, maybe had 1  or 2 freezes total.
Temperatures are great, about 65c and they are working so quiet.
So i don't agree with you, sorry Cheesy

"improved support for systems with more than 10 GPUs, check readme for "-di" and "-mode" options description for details."

Yeah! No more moving cards 11 or 12 down the order to set mode 1-... Happy happy, thanks Claymore! You're awesome!

Which doesn't answer the question of why some cards, from the same lot with the same memory, run stable at 72 degrees/60% fan in a server room with exceptional (and exceptionally loud!) airflow, and others max out and throttle at my limit of 78 degrees/100% fan in eth only mode.

I was assuming some GPU manufacturers forgot the thermal paste on the asic/heatsink junction? And that I'll be taking a lot of cards apart soon enough... Anyone with experience in this issue?

Elpida and Hynix are better then samsung.
Also it very depends what hynix and what samsung. There is 3 versions of samsung chips for example, 'FE' (4GB) are best and 'FC' is worst.
Also same Samsung memory does not work same on different brands. For example 8GB mostly works good on every card except ASUS 480 8GB wich is the worst card ever. (still need to check 580 version, but I bet it's same crap)
Same as Hynix, same 4GB memory does not work good on NITRO+ but it works very good on other Sapphire cards and other brands.
For elpida so far i found it works very good on every card brand. Only memory chip that likes both ASM1 and ASM2 kernel.

Ihave a lot rigs with different memory. So this from me:

Samsung is the best.
NITRO+ with hynix works perfect.
Elpida - pain in ass, but also works good.

Someone pls put memory in order, from best to worst:

I'd say

1. Samsung
2. Hynix
3. Micron/Elpida (Elpida is a subsiduary of Micron)

But it all depends on the system architecture around it.

I would say i agree
