I am new to mining but I started the Claymore Miner and ran it for a few hours then as i am figuring out how to add my wallet it turns out

THE DEVELOPER HAS HIS ETHEREUM WALLET ADDRESS PUT IN AS DEFAULT.

i searched his code on ethermine.org and he is getting abour an ETH a week from this. not cool.

Has anyone experienced claymore destroying your wifi connection?

Without claymore running I can ping my gateway all <50ms.  As soon as claymore starts mining the connection seems to be wrecked. Pings drop and claymore cannot access the network. Some pings get through but very few and with huge delays (3000 ms).

The only solution I've seen people talk about is hardwiring.  I've noticed it only happens with my new router and my rig on the old router works.  However I cannot reach the old router from where I want the new rig.

I did find a way out of this, it looks like is some kind of interference of the GPUs working, Claymore does not have anything to do with this.
Had a free PCIe slot, have a PCIe wifi adapter, if I install it right on the slot the connection would be there but the system keep drooping shares, so I installed a raiser in order to get the wifi adapter far from the rig, now it works wonderfully

Just my 2 cents

wow, if this is the answer, I'll be so happy.  I am using windows 10 and a usb wifi chip.  I'll get a small hub and see if I can put the wifi card further away.  Last night when I tried the usb wifi was sitting right under the GPUs.  I was suspicious of interference, but didn't think too hard about it.

Now that I think about it, an USB cable extension should be enough too, gonna buy me a few of those to find out

Hello, I was mining with 2 GTX 1050ti for a week now.
Today I have received 4 more of these cards, but when I start the miner I get the error:

I have set the virtual memory to 16GB in Windows8.1, with 2 GPUs everything works fine. I have also used DDU to clear drivers and re-installed a fresh driver AFTER adding GPUs. Having more than 2 gives me this wierd error. Can this be corrected?

@EDIT1: Very high OC. Pulled the cards back to stock, and it's working fine. Guess I'll have to OC them again till I reach the top stable amounts

I found a few recent questions related to low speed of LBC mining in dual mode. Check Readme, "KNOWN ISSUES" section:
.....
- LBC PoW is not very good for dual mining, it causes a bit less Ethereum mining speed.
.....

Also ASM mode is not implemented for LBC yet, but I'm working on it and expect about x2 speedup for LBC when it is finished (for AMD cards). It's a lot of work though, so it will take some more time.

Something I really dislike about your miner Claymore is the fact that if I'm dual mining ETC, when DevFee starts I lose another 30-40 seconds because it needs to swap to a different DAG and then after DevFee ends it changes again to a different DAG (132 on ETC 130 on ETH).

I really, really dislike it about your miner.

Just set an ETC pool for your devfee if mining ETC for christ sake, I understand you do a good job with your miners (you also make an awful lot of money, but it's cool anyway, it's deserved), but that's a long way from 1-2%, it's much closer to around 5% of lost hashrate each our with this dag swapping.

+1 i'm also loosing speed because of this

+1 too.
Also if mining on NiceHash is even worse, as you can get whatever coin with daggerhashimoto algo, and swap DAG like crazy :-D

Ok in next update I will improve nicehash support (so devfee will be mined there too) and add "-allcoins etc" mode which selects devfee ETC pools. New version will be available in 2-3 days.

the miner do not restart when gpu hang, i need to reboot manualy all the rig to start miner correctly a gain !

do you have a reboot.bat/reboot.sh with shutdown called inside ?

if yes, there is a problem. often when GPU hang because of overclocking and heat, there are many memory errors in kernel logs, and the linux kernel end with a panic on unstoppable processor thread. I use a hardware watchdog

no i do not use reboot.bat i use default wd I mean just restart miner when gpu hang and this not hapened when gpu hang

any help

@Claymore,

Could you please check memory controller load? As others stated some cards randomly gets lower load on memory controller and this causes decreased hashrate.

For instance, my average hash rate should be around 264,5 MH/s for my 9 gpu rig. But it displays effective hourly rate around 205.0 MH/s.

I have tested this for more than 7 hours and this is the case for me. Even on ETH only mining using fine tuning and low power bios.

9 gpu rig

Is that nVidia?
Same question here, are you running 9 GPU rig with Nvidia? In my case, claymore won't run with more than 8 Nvidia Card on windows 10.

Hi Claymore,

Is there any chance you can fix the "memory problem" that will affect Polaris Cards very soon ?
I quoted "memory problem" because it will also affect 8GB cards next month so there's not only a memory problem, but something else related to Polaris Cards

Thanks in advance for your answer

For Nvidia  slow hashrate, install windows 10 creators update.

Yes (on Ubuntu)
probably the interferences.
put the antenna further away from rig, and use a big antenna, or CPL (plugger farther)

also, device manager shows 5 gpus, but claymore only finds 4. Any tips on this as well.

any help would be appreciated.
I have the same issue with him! My rig have 6 VGA Giga 3gb, but 1st VGA stoped Sad Have anyone help us Sad(

If you are having a single card first (others may fail afterward but usually starts with the same card), check your riser.  specifically I would replace the cheap USB cable that comes with it along with the power adapter if you are using it.  That's where most of my failures have been from.  The other thing to check is to put a meter at the wall and see what your total draw is and make sure you are not maxing out your power supply.

i have a 850 power supply and each card is using 105-110 watt, so i should have plenty of power. Also, the issue happens with 4 cards installed not even 5. Currently , i have three of the cards on the board and only one using the riser and still get the same message. three cards on the board alone run no problem. I am trying to get 4 stable before i work on the 5th. I do not know why the error keeps coming up. I will try to replace the usb cord and the molex to sata. I also have another riser board on the way from a different and better company(according to the reviews). Any other suggestions are appreciated.

I have R9 280x not overclocked. I started mining with claymore and Nicehash pool. Today most of the time I'm mining at 13mhs, but at unregulated time I see the mhs is raised to 25mhs in Nicehash pool. And the temperature of the card is raised to 80 degrees. At 13mhs the temp is 67 degrees. Why is that happen? Who control my card at how much mhs will mining?
What could be the reason?
My configuration bat file is:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
