but it's unfair as i am powering off my pc when i am at work.
It's not unfair, it just adds variance, but that can be reduced by choosing large N, so your shares would be counted proportionally to payments for all blocks found in next N shares.

Lol thats my prob mate - I'm a 16/24 miner at most Wink.

You do realize this method theoretically gives you what you're supposed to get for the 16/24 hours right?

The method isn't meant to "punish" pool-hoppers but rather not provide any benefit to do so.

Sure - we'll test it for a few days and let you know.

This new method is fairer for 24/7 miners like yourself, so I am a bit confused why you dislike it so much Smiley

Not everyone is on IRC - I was for the longest time but chose to step back from it.

Anyway, I remember I asked you about fair scoring the day I joined and pointed you to the original method for fair scoring, also know as the "score method". You replied, that it was "way too complex".

Other pools, however, are running with this algo, namely: Slush, BTCMine, Continuum and a few others - these are huge pools so it can't be impossible to implement it in a practical way.

If you guys talked about it though and you think the method you are using now is fine, thats OK - there are plenty of other pools around for me. If you should change it sometime, I will prob come back.

and you don't have enough hash rate to even that out for me.

what about the opposite i described here: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=23774.msg298141#msg298141

just calc everthing once per day. shares per day to blocks per day.
i dont think there are many people sitting in front of their machines to watch the satoshi's flowing in....

edit: i don't use irc, just this forum. didn't even know you where changing something before i read the previos post (and after that you pool intro message)

Guys, we've been chatting about this in IRC for days now...  Huh

If you want another system, then please give some suggestions, and come talk about it....

just want a prop system (they can also be cheat prof)

This basically is proportional.. but proportional over a shorter length of time to reward people who don't drop out the block at the half way point.

Lol not even 1 GH/s.
Way to ruin young development threads by posting shit like this.
I laugh at you now.
In less then a month Mineco.in has reached 150 GH/s ~

Too bad you chose the lame and deprecated Eligius approach to "fair" scoring, Wuked. I was on this pool since before the first block was found, but this forces me to go back to BTCMine Cry.

I've added the block numbers here so you can see :

https://mineco.in/blocks

Block 28 onwards is still waiting to be confirmed..

We had 3 slow blocks, which will have slowed down the pace of your rewards, and before then we have 4/5 very fast blocks so you would have had them quicker than normal.

All looks fine Smiley

I've setup my payout at 0.2 BTC, 3 days worked regularly.
Now all stay unconfirmed... the difficulty don't changed so much?
The data seem ok to you? Thanks.

Remember that it's not us that's verifying the rewards....

It will take however long it takes for the entire bitcoin system to find another 120 blocks...

As the difficulty increases of course this is going to take more time ...

I've got similar problem.
Seem don't rewards my works, since last 08-07-11, computing 24h/24h atm.

I see you have rewards pending for the last 2 blocks - when they mature you'll get your reward...
