Bcci is the king and they can do whatever they want and no one can stop them from doing what they want. 2 months of cricket is stopped just for ipl and now India want to stretch it to 3 months. But no one can stop them, icc is not boss rather working under big4.
ICC is kept as a dancing doll. Whenever the big 4 comes up with a plan, ICC starts to dance according to the order provided. This won't change in a short, because these people to have control over the entire sport keeps cricket in a way that it is played on specific locations and hasn't taken forward.
Here we need to know who are the managing committee in ICC? ? Where they come from? These answer will clarify where is the problem? Politics is everywhere in today's world, when these Politics are applied to any organization, it can no longer function as it should. Cricket would have reached a better place today if there was no favoritism by the senior officials of the ICC in cricket.

Colonial mindset is having big impact on cricket and it's many subsidiaries like ECB, CA, CSA, CNZ and now BCCI so as they are in power they are not doing any positive thing for this game and it's future because they don't want to lose their power which is surely the worst case happening in gaming history.

Right now, Franchise cricket is going to have some good impact and finances to many weak boards and with this as they have some better resources and system then surely it's going to be not good for this game because after having their own system they will not accept any role set by ICC or big powers currently most of the boards are in not good shape, so they are just trying to accumulate and having some positive way, but surely it's going to be the big failure for this ICC and their powerful members.

For cricket to prosper, and for the ICC to spread the popularity of cricket further, ICC and the boards need to step out of the colonial mindset. The ICC will need to have a strong mindset in order to fix this problem. They will have to be the ones to impose authority over the big four and the ICC has also become reliant on the money of certain cricket boards.

Franchise cricket is getting more and more popular. And T10 already has made an appearance. So I think that the smaller teams will also be able to generate a significant amount of revenue. So this should be a good opportunity for the smaller teams and also ICC to come out of the shell that they have been in for quite a long time.

Right now it's all about IPL and due to money rich ipl everyone including icc and remaining members of big 4 are under bcci. At-least for next 10 years bcci will be supreme leader of cricket world and its best in there interest that cricket don't spread to other countries.

Actually, I don’t understand. So you are happy that this is happening? Sad

I know what has happened to India and Sri Lanka was not the most desirable thing but that does not justify them having control over ICC right now. It feels like you are quite happy to see India being in the driver's seat because you are an Indian. But that would not be fair to the other teams. India has enormous power over ICC and so do the other 3 in big4. But that is the only reason why cricket is not expanding worldwide.

Only if the teams, the cricket board which is in power, as well as the ICC came together and thought about the game instead of making money and the big teams thinking of themselves as valuable items could this game flourish.

Honestly, I don’t even blame the big four at the moment. Because everyone wants to be in power when they get the taste of it. However, ICC handled everything so poorly that it feels like they are not in charge at the moment.

The problem is ICC is looking for money and they are happy to do anything to bring in a significant amount of benefit. And to ICC it does not matter which team does well or which team does bad. If they cared about cricket, they would have actually helped the smaller teams. But instead, they are just helping their more powerful teams to get money. It is actually understandable because the bigger teams generate the most amount of revenue. Nevertheless, smaller teams cannot generate better revenue if they can't play better cricket. In fact, they won't even be able to play better cricket if they aren't helped by the ICC. ICC does not have any headaches as a result of that. And it is really sad to see the way the future of cricket is shaping up.
When India won the 1983 World Cup, BCCI did not get tickets to watch the final match and with the help of the then government and the sponsorship of Ambani, India along with Pakistan was able to bring the World Cup out of England in 1987, if not England and Australia dominated Cricket and they never bothered about other countries. BCCI especially Salve who was the BCCI president then was determined to take the power of the ICC away from England and they have done that because they were humiliated by the ICC in rejecting two tickets requested by the BCCI to watch the 1983 Finals.
So anyone crying about the powers in Cricket, check out the history and then cry about it  Tongue.
When Sri Lanka won the 1996 World Cup majority of the players were sponsored by Arjuna Ranatunga who i consider as one the greatest captains in World Cricket and ICC did not shower them money, from minnows to World Champions were their sole hard work and many of the players during that period was staying with Arjuna Ranatunga because they did not have a place to stay nor the money. So to cry about other nations are not developing Cricket because ICC is not helping is just bullshit. The board has to take the initiatives to find talents or you need a captain that could take that role to develop the quality of players and you cannot expect anyone to bring everything in a golden platter.

The top cricket organization is ICC who have the responsibility to conduct all kinds of cricket with discipline. They are not just running behind the money, Showing their sympathy towards big countries and the stiffness towards the small country has become known as a major evidence of corruption. Such responsibilities of ICC will be destroyed in the future in the face of cricket. Therefore, their conditions must be changed in large interests.

I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. As long as India contributes to 60% of the overall revenues, BCCI will have a dominant role in the ICC. Now the other opportunists have also ganged up with BCCI (ECB, CA and NZC), and this makes it very hard for the smaller boards to get their voices heard. The only way forward is to give more countries voting rights, so that the influence of BCCI can be diluted. But the opposite is happening now. Nowadays, most of the associate boards are dominated by expats from India and they always side with the BCCI.
I've said this before. ICC is going to be caught with their pants down when powerful franchises move their pieces on chess board -IPL franchise-. It's already started happening with all franchise diversifying their investments in different leagues.

Time will come when franchises are going to hire players for full season and they will represent these franchise in UAE, SA, CPL, IPL (possibly The 100 and BBL in future) and so on. This will weaken bilateral cricket mainly white ball. In that case voting can be manipulated if someone play their cards right. IMO Along with voting rights, multi nation ICC tournaments should become reality.

Things like this can't go for long time surely something will happen even take some time, but we can smell changes in future because these Pig-4 are not invincible and if BCCI is having 60% revenue it does not mean they can hijack all things. They must think about better future or just ready for no confidence which can do big damage to this game and this authority as well now with some good success of T-10 and T-20 we are having few new countries those can play a vital role in this game, and it's all authority because now test is just going to play in 7 or 8 countries and mostly others will like to join these short formats for better profit and entertainment and this could be vital for big changes in the future.

Sachin Tendulkar went through the same rough patch but he worked on it and  became a legend. Kohli lacks such attitude and this might be the reason why he is not able to perform after getting so many opportunities.
This is fair analysis, there is nothing wrong on losing your form as it bound to happens at some point of time. No one expect any players to be invincible in their long career as it's part of process. It would be good for him and Indian team if he keeps his ego aside and talk to Sachin directly, after all this guy know thing or 2 about hardship and struggle.

Despite all bad signs. I still didn't lose hope and like to believe that he'll bounce back.
No one doubts that Kohli is a good player but not the form that a cricketer will be in throughout the year. There is a word called ups and downs. Kohli is probably passing miserable days with cricket. A rumor that was egotistical which one would never expect from a shrewd cricketer. We are hoping that he will forget everything and come to us with good signs.

The future of this game cricket is just depended on few boards and these are all already in ICC good list, so they are happy with this all just because of this, no caring about any other thing or development which can help for positive development. Currently, ICC mean India, Australia, England and New Zealand others are just staying here for formalities. West Indies already crushed with Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are on decline with this all now we can say ICC with the help of their P-4 successfully reducing cricket and its bright future just for their own ego and ill mindset.

If someone wants to bring changes in this system then surely he is going to be exile from this ICC and also can face some other disciplinary actions as well because they don't like this all.

Cricket was game of gentlemen by gentlemen and for gentlemen now in hands of corrupt mafia by P-4 for their own sack and have no future because of their poor management because money is working for them in good way, and they have no one who give them challenge or bring them in accountability court is surely big setback for this game and its fans because we were feeling good and healthy environment, but now it's all going to dead they are having power to control and with this all they are giving good lolly pops to fans.
With this bad management they can face dilemma because this is never been ideal for anyone to stay like this, hopefully we will have some good or bad changes which will give us positive end of this all.

Virat Kohli must feel like he is downgrading himself if he plays for domestic seasons right now. I think the main reason why he is not willing to do that is because of his ego. He has not performed well for a long time and we know even before his marriage they had a lot of drama simmering on between themselves. And that has also had some impact on his professional career but obviously, that was not worth much notice. But right now Virat Kohli seems to be so busy with his personal life that he doesn't seem to be giving enough time to his professional career. And this is the result of that.
In our culture it is said that marriage has a big impact on the life of man. It either makes his king or steals all the wealth.
So it does matter. However it is not personal but someone observed it - I think there is evil eye too. Nazar lag gaee - Kholi ko
Those believe do not work in 2022 when the whole world has seen so much suffering due to COVID 19. Kholi has achieved so much in such a small amount of time that know one can. I feel he thought he was invincible and that might have lead to his downfall. Sachin Tendulkar went through the same rough patch but he worked on it and  became a legend. Simply there is no accountability. ICC is one of the most incompetent sports bodies in the world. I had a small glimmer of hope when Shashank Manohar was the chairman, but then the pig-4 managed to replace him with one of their proxies. I have give up. ICC is never going to change and cricket will remain confined to a handful of countries. Cricket biggest advantage (money power) is its curse. There is so much money to be made from TV deals and sponsorship, that corrupt businessmen have now completely taken up the administration.

These big 4 are playing smartly they know there supremacy is only as long as there are small countries like Pakistan, west indies,  Srilanka and south Africa under them. Its best in interest of big 4 that big countries like USA, Russia and China don't join the cricket.

The big4 doesn't want more teams. If more members are allowed to vote, then it gets harder for them to push through their proposals. Even now, after the recent changes, the pig-4 only controls 6-7 votes out of a total of 16. They need a minimum of 2 votes from the other boards to get their proposals approved. But they are still able to do that, and the best example is the election of Greg Barclay. The other candidate (Imran Khwaja) had initial advantage, but pig-4 managed to secure additional votes from other boards to secure the election of Barclay.

BTW, I am quite excited about the elections this time. Greg Barclay will be taking on Sourav Ganguly, although the latter is yet to confirm his participation.

ICC is no more sportsmanship prioritised, it is much into money. Whether it is the nation's cricket boards or the ICC, everywhere power is held by persons who have influence over the government as well as money. Even the players who are in the leader role on the board doesn't do anything good to the cricket. First of all there needs to equality as the New Zealand cricket paying similar salary to men and women cricketers.
