I believe that few year’s back no one really cared about women’s cricket, but lately I have seen lots of buzz and excitement for women’s cricket and especially this women’s World Cup has got many male cricket lovers attention. Also I feel that once BCCI follows in Australia’s footsteps, and launches Women’s IPL then they’ll get some crazy attention and funding will no longer be an problem for them.

ICC events for women should be conducted on regular basis just like men events. Such events will give boost to weak teams like WI, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa. Already we have seen an upset in this tournament where WI has beaten NZ by 3 runs after a strong contest. I wish I could have seen that match live.
Australia, New Zealand and England are favorite for semis before the start of tournament but now it seems like WIndies and India can also make it to semis.

If BCCI is launches IPL's women version then surely it's going to be great for their women cricket as currently they have some good number of quality players and this case can bring some more good and quality players in limelight with very good financial help and good exposure for some neighboring countries as well as Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Already India is conducting a separate league for women Cricketers, but this hasn't gained more importance and it isn't that popular as IPL. Only three teams were in the league and this ends within a short. From the recent information from BCCI the upcoming IPL for women will have full fledged teams, atleast six teams in my understanding.
Women's IPL
With the help of social media and media now some good number of peoples in subcontinent also having some good interest in this game and watching current world cup because three teams involved from here and India is having good chance of qualifying for semifinal but still this game is going to be dominant by big 3 like Australia, England and New Zealand.
These days people from India and around have interest on women's cricket, because often it is possible to see news about Indian women cricketers making some records. Slowly the dominance of the big 3 might change with the rising popularity and progress of the players.

A lot of people actually don't watch women's cricket because men's cricket is more entertaining and skillful. I am obviously not trying to offend anyone. I am just stating some facts. Indian women won against the Pakistan women really easily and I was actually surprised to see both of these teams' skills. Anyway, I think the next match of India is not going to be this one-sided.
Biological differences exist. For example, the fastest ball in men's cricket was measured at 162 kmph (101 mph), while the same in women's cricket was bowled by Lea Tahuhu of New Zealand and measured at 126 kmph (78 mph). These are some of the factors that make women's cricket less exciting to watch. But the Australian cricket board found a perfect solution to this. They created WBBL and assigned the same franchises for women's cricket. Obviously fans who support BBL franchises extended their support for the women's teams from their franchises as well.
It's very good review about difference but still with this all we have some serious financial issues in many countries, so peoples can't afford luxury like this it's also big factor we have no good interest in women games like peoples have in some developed countries even they are also not supporting them like they support men sports but still a very good support available for them.

Few months back I watch few games WNBA and some other games related to women there were no good fans base available for them like they are doing for men but good thing their sports associations are still encouraging them and having some good results from this all and this all is possible just with some good money.

PakistanW vs AustraliaW.

Australia won the toss and decided to field first. Pakistan scored 190 and Bismah Maroof (captain ) 78 runs on 122 balls.

There is thread for ODIs discussion, you can post that message there ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod]. In fact we are already discussing women WC 2022 there.

That's because in developed countries its mandatory to invest in women games. Franchises no doubt earn from men games and its mandatory for them to allocate some portion of there investment for women games also. That's why WNBA despite having less fan base continuous to coexists with men NBA. I don't know whats stopping BCCI to spare some bucks and start WIPL.

Have anyone watched the T20 world cup cricket between India Women and Pakistan Women. The Indian team had made an easy win against the Pakistan team. India have managed to score 244 runs whereas Pakistan reached 137 losing every wickets. Indian Women team have played well, upcoming matches against New Zealand and Australia will be the hardest for India. If this has been a match between the men's team, now this could've turned to be the biggest discussion.
Firstly it's not T20 World Cup it's 12 ODI World Cup for Women and secondly India is very strong team in this format and have very good and experienced players which make them some quality team, and they have fair chance for reaching into last four and relatively Pakistan is not good enough in quality they need some good time for having good skills for this game.

In subcontinent mostly peoples not watching these games but still a good match, and we can expect some more good matches in near future. Recently we have some good development in Pakistan about women cricket but still it's very long way to go because here things are not easy for them to do things like this but good thing now many are daring to join and having some good skills and technique for better performance.

Also Shane has not under went scenario's which murli gone through in his early career. Aussie umpires tried there best to ban murli but its Arjuna Ranatunga and SL board that stood firmly with Murli and ICC has no other way left but to clear Murli.
Truth is that Murali's action was extremely weird when compared to other spin bowlers which is why it makes sense why he faced a harder time when compared to Warne whose action was simple in comparison.

Murli class is different, he is liked by people all around the world because of his performance and character. After retirement Shane continue to tease people through his role as commentator.
Wrong. Both are world-class bowlers who established their legacies through hard work and perseverance. Personally, I consider Murali slightly better when compared to Warne in the bowling aspect.

You are right now it's all end, and we don't need to talk about this all but one thing is clear after retirement he was doing many things and these all just for his business so just because of this mostly he has done many wrong things as well because he needs some good intention in media, so his tricks were working for him, and mostly he was talk of community about his behavior and good relationship with Indian players were their necessity because after introduction of IPL India is the biggest market for this game and everyone wants to take his share from this.

He was also shareholder in Rajasthan Royals just because of this all good relationship with Indian players was very important for him. Specially after IPL many Australian and New Zealand players were having good things in India, so they are doing this all for their own sack.

I think he did what he thought he needed to do and I think we should not judge a man for that. Maybe he did some bad things when he was alive but there are a lot of people doing really bad things and I think he obviously was better than them. I just don't want to say anything negative about a dead man who was the greatest leg spin bowler ever and an icon of cricket over the whole world.

That's because Muttiah Muralitharan relied a lot on his spin rather than outthinking the batsman. He was really very different from the current off spin bowlers because he spun the ball with his wrist, that's why he got so much spin out of the tracks.

But Shane Warne also had a really big spin but even when the ball was not spinning marks he could get wickets by outthinking the batsman. Still remember the wicket that he took off Sachin Tendulkar with a good straight ball. Sachin was just defending the ball with his pad if it was a leg spin and out of the off stump. Shane Warne realized this and bowled a straight one with the same action and had Sachin lbw-ed. He also flighted the ball a lot more.

And yes Muttiah Muralitharan was a better bowler than him and at that time the Sri Lankan off-spinner was also facing a lot of problems from certain an instead of being not guilty. But the impact that Shane Warne had cannot be neglected at all.
Muttiah Muralitharan is a great bowler but you cannot compare the impact Shane Warne brought to cricket. Muttiah Muralitharan was taking all of his wickets in spin friendly tracks where he carried the bowling on his shoulders while Shane Warne was in a team where they have more talented bowlers and the competition was really high and majority of the times the wickets he played are not spin friendly and he was able to pick wickets regularly.
Both are all time great so comparison doesn't sound good.

Having said that as far as i remember he was never successful against India anywhere in the world (Even on spin track), may be because that time India had tons of good batters of spin. Every test match he played against India was nightmare for him. Take this for example, his average is like 47 + against India, compare to 27-ish against rest of the world. Similarly his strike rate per wicket was 90+ against India and 60-ish against rest of the world.

Murli on the other hand had fair amount of success against India.

Yes that's the irony, there is very little interest in women cricket. Not even in Pakistan and India many are aware of this big match. India won the match quite easily against Pakistan team ( not as strong as there men team). Indian team have made a good start of the tournament after they lost odi and t20 series to NZ.

Moreover, Aussie PM confirms that Shane Warne will get state funeral.
He deserves this respect from the Australian government. He was an asset to the team and had performed and won matches a number of times for the nation.
There is no doubt after Sir Donald Bradman he was the greatest ever cricketer for Australia and greatest ever sportsman for his own country because just because of his achievements Government of Australia announces they want to give him state level respect in his funeral. Surely we can discuss all things about cricketers because it's all related to this game and community many are talking about his negativity which was real thing because just because of this he was in limelight for many years, and he surely loves this all just because he wants to some good name around media, so he was successful in his all strategy.

In his playing days and after his retirement we still have no replacement for him because he was only and lonely genius person in his field, and surely it's very difficult to have any person like him near future.

I think he was and still is the best leg spinner the cricketing world has ever seen. He has given a lot to the cricketing world and revived an almost dying art- leg spin bowling. He is the reason why a lot of young kids are into leg spin bowling. I like the fact that he is going to get a state funeral. And I feel like it's better not to talk about his personal life or the controversies around him.

Here on this thread we are supposed to discuss cricket and players not there personal lives. We need to focus on what Shane Warne did on cricket pitch rather outside the ground.
He didn't played T20I otherwise his magic would have been seen there as well. Just see his magic in this short video https://youtu.be/L3ZY8947wEg

I think anything related to cricket can be discussed here, whether it be the discussion of a cricket match or a focused discussion on a certain player. However in this case when Shane Warne is not around us anymore, we can forgive his sins and talk good about him.
