So both brothers have done same mistake and that too at same airport. One brother must learn from mistake of other brother but they didnt. I was reading that HH Pandya was not able to give proof of purchase of there watches to custom department. ICC must intervene and find out whats going on but I am sure they will surrender once again in front of might BCCI.
The Pandya brothers are always controversial and why do you think that the law will surrender against BCCI, not sure how that works but if they would have the ability to solve them, these news would not be out in the public in the first place. So the idea of giving invisible powers for each and every situation is funny  Cheesy.

What kind of watch they brought together to be held by the authorities, whatever it may be it looks silly, if it was against the law they should have settled it there rather than giving this a huge publicity.

Boards like BCCI are much more concerned about there repute then rule of law. Already news of rape allegations on pandya are no more to be seen. Moreover there is no inquiry on from where pandya get such expensive watches. In countries like India its easy to bypass law if you have money.

I am not sure whether his statement is satisfactory enough. The market value of these two watches stand at ₹50 million and Pandya is still claiming that he purchased them for ₹15 million. BTW, some time previously Krunal Pandya was detained at the same airport. Krunal went a level higher. He just didn't declared the watches upon arrival. He was caught red handed and forced to pay a penalty. I am from India, and one thing that I can say with surety is that the customs department doesn't issue a notice to anyone unless they have concrete proof.

@Sithara007 I won’t comment on the rape issue until it’s proved, because most likely it’ll never be proved due to lack of evidence as it’s always seen when a case is filed against a famous person.

Furthermore as for the watches are concerned he gave a statement which said that he declared full customs, but the officers wanted to revalue it and he believes the media is misleading the people, but he didn’t say he’ll sue those outlets for spreading lies which does make me wonder who’s correct and who’s lying.

No sympathy for Pandya here. Even if there is no truth in the rape allegations (which I doubt), he doesn't have any excuse in smuggling luxury watches. Pandya purchased the watches in the UAE and brought them to India without paying the import duty at the airport. A poor third world country such as India can't afford to have people like Pandya, who refuse to pay the due taxes. I hope he will get punished for this, although most likely he will be let off with a warning thanks to his political connections. And let's not forget that this is the same guy who suggested the Indian team to take the knee at the world cup. Imagine this, a tax evader advising the team on how to react against racism in the United States and at the same time refusing to pay taxes in India.

This is a very casual attitude from such a big player who has played lots of cricket and has traveled a lot. He is in news for rape allegations and he must be very careful with everything rather he opened another case. He must be punished for such casual behavior, which is bringing shame to Indian cricket. The estimated price of his watches are 5 crore INR.

Justice system in India is designed in a way that it only favors the strong person. Players must focus on there games not on becoming a media celebrity. Players like Pandya are more on media then on play grounds, thanks to Indian media and now when bad news are coming from Pandya same media is cursing him for his wrong deeds.

Seems like Hardik Pandya's bad days are not over yet. Bad T20 WC, Rape allegations and now this, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya's luxury watches worth Dh2.4 million seized at Mumbai airport. The watches were worth 5 crore and Pandya has no receipt of these watches. Pandya is perhaps undergoing the toughest phase of his life, lets see how he tackle this situation.

Pandya is a married man with one child, his wife is an Indian-based Serbian dancer and actress Nataša Stanković. This news will have huge impact not only on his cricketing career but his personal life also. He was very much criticized for his inclusion in Indian T20 WC squad. The only question I have in my mind is why this woman spoke up just after WC, why not when she was assaulted.

These are very serious allegations, and the victim has given all the details of the crime such as date and location at which the incident took place. I don't want to jump in to conclusions, but at the same time as a woman I am sickened by people who are jumping to defend Hardik before the details are even known. Why automatically assume that he's innocent? Let the investigation proceed as per the plan, and with all his money power and political connections, I am sure that Hardik will be able to defend himself if he's not guilty.

Cricketers and other celebrities are regularly accused of such crimes most of the time charges are withdrawn by accusers. I am not defending anyone,  what I wanna say is that the victim must go to court and its only the court who can give her justice. These media houses will use her by flashing her news for few days and then get busy in next breaking news.

Its a big offense and anyone who is involved must be punished. We saw allegations of same type on Babar Azam few months back, where a woman accused him of marrying her secretly. The woman later withdraw her charges. On same ground Munaf Patel and Hardik Pandya must be given space to give there verdict and if found guilty by court then they must be punished. Based on news we must not jump to conclusion.

Do not jump the gun, these are allegations and once there is concrete proof and if the accuser can produce the evidence then we can say that it is punishable offence. The article that is posted does not have any clear indication of what really happened but one woman came out and accused cricket players and politician. Looks like someone was forced into prostitution and they visited her and now she had the courage to file a complaint regarding her situation.

If the BCCI has any sort of morals, then they should immediately suspend the central contract of Hardik Pandya and keep him away from competitive cricket until his name is cleared.

Huge scandal in Indian cricket.

https://www.opindia.com/2021/11/wife-of-dawoods-aide-accuses-hardik-pandya-rajiv-shukla-of-rape/

One lady named Rehnuma Bhati has accused Hardik Pandya of raping her at the Trident hotel.

Quote
According to the complaint, Pandya and his two friends committed all kinds of unnatural sexual activities with her including oral sex and anal sex, and all of them were drunk.

If the BCCI has any sort of morals, then they should immediately suspend the central contract of Hardik Pandya and keep him away from competitive cricket until his name is cleared.

Indian players have the advantage of playing in the richest franchise T20 league in the world. But they still couldn't manage to qualify for the semi-finals. I have a feeling that the BCCI is wrong when they are banning all the Indian players from participating in foreign T20 leagues. There is no justification to do that, when foreigners are taking part in the IPL. At least those who are not part of the Indian squad should be allowed to play in the foreign leagues. This sort of monopolistic tendencies will do more harm in the long run.

Majority of players in IPL are from Indian national team or foreign players, very few are from domestic setup. Those who are not in IPL must be allowed to play other leagues to get necessary financial benefit. Moreover, Indian players are isolated from rest of the world T20 environment as they only play on there home itches, that's one reason why Indian batting filed against Pakistan pace attack. lets hope BCCI lift this ban from Indian players.

It was not a bad luck rather Indian team was not well prepared for this mega event. India, NZ and Pakistan need to win at least one match against each other to stay in the tournament but India lost both with huge margins. It's not justified to analyze Indian team performance based on their performance against Afghanistan, Namibia and scotland.

@Sithara007 though I agree that BCCI should allow Indian player’s to play in other countries T20 tournament, but in this case the clear issue was player’s were exhausted, and instead of opting out they decided to turn up for the World Cup.

Also as we discussed in other thread some player’s should have been dropped, but one reason or the other they were picked hence BCCI investigate and drop those player’s who were tired, but yet participated and hurt India’s chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

India lost to NewZealand and not Afghanistan.
It's just a bad luck that the Indian batsmen were not in the form in the start of the tornament and when they gained the form it was already too late. You don't get many chances in tornament like these. Each and every match is important and it's always difficult to come back in the tornament if you lose two early matches with the strong teams.
