😱 Elsewhere Google has partnered with Coinbase Global and BitPay, to store crypto assets in digital cards, while still having users pay in traditional currencies. On top of that, the IT giant has hired former PayPal Holdings Inc. executive Arnold Goldberg to run its payments division and set a new course for the business after it scrapped a push into banking. Instead, we find it important to mention that almost a quarter of small businesses in nine countries around the world plan to accept digital currencies as a form of payment in 2022. Moreover, 13% of consumers in those countries expect retail stores to begin offering crypto payments this year and beyond, according to a survey by Visa Inc. We're here to give you more context on the confusion regarding reward accruing for your Smart LP NFTs.

To explain better, let’s recall the reward distribution of this n-NFT:
✅ The first portion i.e. 70% of your supplied assets, gets provided as liquidity to the Nimbus Swap: to BNB/NBU and BNB/GNBU pairs. Then it goes to LP staking and starts generating rewards.
✅ The second portion, i.e. 30% of the supplied assets, goes to the Lend dApp, acting as overcollateralized loans. It then generates rewards when somebody borrows from the BNB pool.

So while the rewards from the first portion of assets are received automatically, the Lend dApp rewards are a bit more tricky. If nobody has borrowed from the BNB pool while you were holding the n-NFT, you cannot receive rewards. Only the LP rewards will accrue.

Additionally, due to some technical discrepancy, the LP rewards were not displayed in the interface either. Now this issue is fixed, though. There is some ground left to cover for a few more wallets, and we are solving that as we speak!

So while we take care of the technicalities, let’s boost the borrowing side together 😎

What better way to begin 2022 than to learn another essential DeFi term.

Today, on the Nimbus Glossary, we present the term - ✨Burn✨

Token Burn has become an industry-wide practice - mostly for keeping the charts on the uptrend while also ensuring a strongly incentivized community.
Here are some more interesting facts:

✔️There are several methods employed to execute token burning in DeFi. However, the most common method is to send a specific number of tokens/coins to a so-called “eater address.”  It’s an address that is not recognized by the Blockchain or loses its private key, meaning once tokens go there, they cannot be ever redeemed. The real-time balance of such address can be viewed publicly, but the contents within the address, a.k.a the tokens sent for burning, cannot be accessed by anyone for perpetuity.

✔️Nimbus n-NFT can also be burned but the nature of burning is different. There was no intention to use the burn to affect the n-NFT market value. Instead, the burning of such n-NFT is simply a way to redeem the assets that are backing your n-NFT. Thanks to this, the n-NFT holders don’t have the usual pain that other NFT holders do. You do not need to search for buyers in order to “cash out”. All you have to do is just burn your n-NFT and receive your assets at a click of a button.

Why? Because on the one hand, we see that due to the high gas fees, you use these dApps on BSC. On the other hand, while the functionality on Ethereum remains unused, it takes too many resources for contract republishing as we improve these dApps.

It was a week full of records. First thing first, Bitcoin surged to new highs for the first time after inflation data bolstered the argument that the cryptocurrency is a hedge against rising cost pressures. Secondly, ProShares’ Bitcoin futures exchange-traded fund rose to the top 2% of all ETFs in terms of the total trading volume. It's been another productive biweekly sprint run for your Nimbus Team.

Without further ado, let's look at the progress made!

✅ Bridge between Nimbus LP staking section and PancakeSwap:
Now you can provide liquidity to NBU & GNBU (BEP-20) pairs on PancakeSwap but stake the LP tokens that you receive in return on the Nimbus Platform. This way, you can receive both your swap rewards from the PancakeSwap trading and from the LP staking, at 100% APY — yay! A similar bridge was also established with the Uniswap. This means you can benefit from a similar feature by providing liquidity in the ERC-20 tokens as well.
 
Note — Make sure you use the same wallet in both PancakeSwap or Uniswap and the Nimbus Platform: otherwise the bridge won’t work.

✅ Analytics Page (Backend):
In one of the previous sprints, we informed you about improving data on the analytics page by substituting the Subgraph with our own novel code. The work for the same on the backend has been completed, and we will no longer be using the Subgraph since all the data will be taken from our own backend. This means you will now have extremely accurate analytics to make well-informed real-time decisions on the Nimbus Platform.

✅ Support Clearance:
And as for the Nimbus support clearance, out of 77 support tickets received, 68 have been resolved successfully.

We saved the best for the last!

✅ Nimbus NFT token:
NFTs are changing both cultural and economic experiences for collectors and creators. As a holistic ecosystem, it seems natural to introduce NFT as a functionality on the Nimbus Platform. Hence, your team has been working on the Nimbus NFT token for the past few months, which will provide users with easy access to even more reward streams! Here are some useful facts about bridges in DeFi:

✅ Blockchain bridges usually connect 2 completely different blockchains, but they can also be used to bridge side chains to their source blockchain as well (unlike bridges between two blockchains, sidechain bridges connects a parent blockchain to its child chain. Since the parent and child chains operate under different consensus, communications between them require a bridge.)
✅ On the Nimbus platform, you can use the Wrap Machine (bridge) to exchange ERC-20 (ETH) to BEP-20 (BSC) NBU or GNBU tokens and vice versa! Moreover, since it converts ERC-20 to BEP-20 tokens and vice versa at a 1:1 ratio, it allows users to exchang.
