He is good at selling his fight, so he could just be manipulating us so we will continue to talk about him. Good or bad publicity is still publicity, and it will work to attract people's attention. I doubt that this fight will not happen; they will make sure it will because they will be making a lot of money on this fight. Ryan may lose, but he will be a huge winner if PPV will hit the roof again and might surpass his previous success.

Well, after he lost to Davis, he seems also lost some motivation to train more to make himself prepared for this fight and we all know that he gonna win this fight if miracles happen because Devin Haney is the least opponent they can match against him because he can actually beat Garcia flawlessly without even sweating due to his high-level experience based in his last fights. But whoever took this fight seriously and exerted all necessary effort to go inside the ring with 100% preparation, I guess if he lost the fight, he had nothing to worry about and if he won, he surely deserved it.

We will see if this bubbly kid commits to his word and focused on the remaining weeks before his fight. Ryan is having mental issues again with his weird posts. Even his ex-wife also posted asking for prayers to Ryan. Ryan's promoter Oscar though told the media that Ryan is doing well and will be ready by fight date.

Pretty sure Derrick James is concerned of his ward. This is also a huge break for him and the result of this fight dictates what happens next to his career as a coach. But what happens to Ryan's social media who's earning a weekly? Maybe he will hire someone to continue posting?

He is focusing right now, I just stumble this video and he is looking good, his lateral movement is good he is training with his movement because he knows it's going to be a cat-and-mouse chase kind of match where he needs to catch Haney and throws him off balance with his hit and run tactic.

lateral movements and timing are very important especially if you're fighting a guy who knows how to use distance to his advantage like Haney, both fighters know this is going to be a tactical game, and when you're in a tactical battle you need to be able to run and move the whole 12 rounds if necessary.

Ryan hasn't been impressive so far despite his win on this last match. Clearly the disparity is very big in terms of skils between Haney and Oscar Duarte Jurado.. I thought he nees more fight to season himself before his comeback to a big fight, but I was wrong because he saw this opportunity to be back on top like a shortcut while at the same time the earnings will not be sacrifice as it's expected to be a huge money generator, this fight...

Let's see if he has really improve, but the last fight, I saw he uses different style, I'm wondering how it would work against Haney.

And this is what Ryan Garcia has to say,

https://twitter.com/RyanGarcia/status/1765430179697164711

So moving forward, he will be focusing on the fight and not on his social media. That's good to hear if he is serious.
But we all know that Ryan has a lot of followers and he gain that needed attention already in this fight, he has promoted it immensely. No question that he did this whole personality of him as the bad guy with that kind of posts and his conspiracies and other tweets that people think that he is going on another mental breakdown bout again.
However, he had Derrick James as trainer, so I doubt that he will allow his fighters to go on a downward spiral as this is another biggest fight for James and trying to break that curse of losing his students on a championship fight.

Ryan is now on training with Derrick James as there are lot of videos of him circulating on X (Twitter). So it's good to him back in action, but it's just 5 weeks from fight now and hopefully they are still on track and on schedule to be at peak on April 20.
Good for him, he need the best trainer he can trust in this big upcoming fight for him. Haney is probably the toughest opponent he will face, probably even better than Tank Davis, so if Ryan will not improve and will not focus in this fight, he might have the same fate in his fight vs Tank Davis.

On the other hand, if he wins this fight, his popularity will shoot up and there will be more big fights coming fro him, probably even getting a rematch with Haney and will be dictating the terms.

Also, Frank Martin is training with them or at least he is being handled by Derrick James as well. Maybe there could be pointers from Ryan on how the power of Tank is as we all know that Martin and Tank Davis will have their own fight in the next coming months.

It's not yet listed in https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/814937.. probably not yet official?

^ We’ll see. He’s going to be bombarded with podcast requests now. I don’t think he’ll be able to resist. At this point, I am leaning towards this fight not happening or going spectacularly wrong for Garcia. He’s in a downward spiral he needs to fix before trying to move forward. Something is going on with him and I think it is going to have a major effect on his next fight.

So are we going to see a documentary about "What went wrong with Ryan?" There is too much social media on Ryan Garcia's head, how can a boxer focus when there's too much distraction, his body language is faking it, and he is trying to be confident in front of the public, has anyone seen how he has slur in his speech?

Imagine admitting in public that he is drinking and taking weeds very unusual for an athlete, especially for someone like Ryan who has a good status in boxing.

It is still a month before the fight but Garcia is breaking down, I will not be surprised by the cancellation Ryan can't take the pressure of fighting a top-level fighter, if this is a regular fighter I don't think he will display this kind of breakdown.

I think the Gervonta losses still haunt him and the reality that Haney can beat him decisively.

Check out this video and it will tell how alarming Ryan's behavior is

Before he has appeared to famous podcast like Mike Tyson. But yeah, with so much invitation and probably him making money guesting on such shows, who knows, maybe he will still surface from time to time and make interviews.

Hopefully there are still people around him that is very much concern about his mentality and not just for his money. Yeah, probably something is up with, and to be fair, in recent years we have heard sports personalities going into this path, mental breakdown and mental issues, like Charlo and even tennis stars Naomi Osaka.

Ryan recently was jailed claiming people took his money.
https://talksport.com/sport/1774522/ryan-garcia-jail-money-phone-emotional-message/

I think his mental disorder got worse with the videos he'd been posting. There may be intervention to be done to this guy seeing how much bragging he has been saying to sell this fight and the possibility that this fight will not happen. He'd been picking fights with even the UFC fighters and Sean Strickland even reacted to his mental breakdown.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omTP0yMa5I4

He is good at selling his fight, so he could just be manipulating us so we will continue to talk about him. Good or bad publicity is still publicity, and it will work to attract people's attention. Yes I do agree that Ryan sometimes go overboard when he promoted a fight as he wanted his fight to gross higher revenue to he will do everything to attract everyone to watch his fight. And sometimes his antics is really out of this world, we can call it weird, but this is all for the clout and the click and the views and obviously he wanted more people to talk about him and his fight.

PPV numbers might be close to his previous records against Devin Haney. But as we say, it takes two to tango, and Haney is not as popular as Tank Davis but he has accomplished more than any of the supposedly 4 kings in the 135-140 lbs, - Lopez, Davis and Ryan Garcia himself.

Things are getting out of hand could it be that Ryan is losing his mind again or in a deep depression again, things are not looking good headed to the fight Haney believes that Ryan will retire before they fight, in fact, Ryan Garcia's promoter The Golden Boy promotion already created a backup plan in case something unpredictable happens because of Ryan's erratic behavior

Quote
Garcia’s unpredictable behavior has prompted Golden Boy Promotions to form a contingency plan, with undefeated junior welterweight contender Arnold Barboza Jr. waiting in the wings as the backup opponent should Garcia not make it to the fight.

Haney Believes Garcia Might Retire Before Fight Night

We don't know what's going on in Ryan Garcia's mind could it be that he is taking us for a ride and it's just a strategy to catch Haney off guard, or he is suffering from depression again and he might decide not to go on with the fight, based on his body language on press conferences and their face-off he cannot keep up with the pressure while Haney is just so relaxed during those confrontations.

As far as then numbers in this fight, I think it will do good, PPV and live gate wise. For me, Ryan is the next big cash-cow now, behind Canelo or even can surpassed Canelo for this year as Alvarez is easy picking fights for this year while Ryan goes after Haney and we will never know going to happen next.

Even if he losses here again, he could still bounce back and get a busy fight again and maybe go for the weakest champion here or even go up a notch and face Subriel Matias. But let's see how this fight goes first, but no question that it will generate millions of dollars again for Ryan.

He cannot be a PPV champion for a long time without a legitimate belt tucked in his belt. Without beating top names in boxing, the boxing experts and the boxing community will question your legacy, Ryan is still good going in this fight. Still, it will become bad for him if he loses the fight the way he loses it like Gervonta

If you watched the conferences and the face-off, Haney always questioned toughness because of how he quit against Gervonta, in a big fight like this is considered a legacy fight, who have you beaten and who beats you will pop up, and that's exactly what's happening now.

It could be, but with recent set of boxers that we have right now, Spence and Crawford did a good numbers, but they are not crowd pleasing. Well, Canelo is choosing easy fights now and his fight in Mexico and Charlo was below as per standards. You can say that to Tank Davis, looks legit can draw crowd but doesn't have belt. And with that maybe even if Ryan doesn't have a belt he could still be considered as a big draw. If only Haney has the charisma of Floyd, he could be the next cash cow based on his records alone.

Obviously it will be the contention of the Haney's and see Ryan as a quitter because we've seen him taking a knee. But Ryan is also doing some damage by leaking the video and attack the Haney's as well.

But for the PPV, there are no price yet, but it will be in the range of $70-$80 if I will speculation.

I will be leaning to as high as 1 million PPV to as low as 750,000 buy. I think Ryan can bring this kind of money in his fight right now, last fight is not PPV against Duarte, but he has set the record with Tank Davis last year with 1.2 million PPV.

This could be the range, as they are not that popular, or the fight is the unification fight. I think Pacman vs Mayweather PPV was around $80-90, so your speculation is quite on point.

Regarding the PPV total revenue, last time Ryan fought, which was against Tank Davis, they were able to sell 1.2 million PPV, so 1 million is quite realistic. But this might not break that fight since Tank Davis has a different appeal, being a KO artist, exciting to watch in the ring.

https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/gervonta-davis-vs-ryan-garcia-fight-pay-per-view-numbers-live-gate-exceed-expectations-in-las-vegas/

There's a possibility that this fight will go near that number or even break it, this fight is four years in the making

Here is the video of that thrash-talking

~snip~~~

I would be happy if it breaks the record of Garcia vs. Davis, but I want to stay realistic. This is no longer an undefeated Ryan Garcia who will be fighting Haney, so people now might think that Ryan has a slim chance of winning.

Betting odds during that time: Ryan Garcia +190 Odds now vs. Haney: Ryan Garcia +320

We can see the significant difference, implying his slim chance, according to the bookmakers.

Yes, but getting around 800,000 - 1m will show how popular Ryan Garcia is. Lately the price range for this kind of high caliber fight is $80.00 so yes this could be the price and I wouldn't be surprised if there are fans willing to pay that expensive because of Ryan or even Haney as well as he can pull some fans of him.

And for the live gates, it will be in the thousands, celebrities will be there specially around the borough of New York/New Jersey. For the plans or strategy of Ryan, it will be good what will Derick James will do with Ryan here, fighting against a slick Black American fighter.

Ryan Garcia & Devin Haney Face-Off, Exchange Words Ahead of Potential Fight

They used to be friends they even hug each other In this video it is Haney who wants the fight to happen, after this, Haney wins an undisputed title while Ryan was beaten by Gervonta so it is different now, Ryan goes after Haney, and with their history and conflict of style and their backstabbing there's a possibility that the number will be near the Ryan-Haney fight.

Ryan is hyped and motivated for this fight he has a plan already after this fight so let's see if the plan will be ruined or he will continue with his plan
