Please DONT add Blake-256, because if it was, as soon as it was added to the blake-256 'multi coin pool' its difficulty would get bashed harder than a scam-coin dev.

Look at the perspective of someone who is part of the general public. Value will drive the decision on which currency to purchase. Now looking at market caps and other statistics, maybe 10 coins could make the one-ten usd dollar range. This is kind of like the PC world right now, two companies beat everyone else to the chase, and now very few have broken in mix. I personally thought your pinned quote meant something, but it looks like dgb will prefer to pick up the droppings of coins that care about the value of the coin. Still love the coin and the honesty and trustworthiness of your team, but other coins will establish themselves and take away from what digi could have been.

Just thoughts rolling off of my frustration. Im nothing other than a bag holder who thought that 6 months was a decent "longish" term time frame. I don't know if 1 usd equivalent will be possible on the timeline DGB is taking. Looks like I will be left in the dust.

Add: I don't know if I have seen a coin lose the price in value after an announcement. Have not proven to the masses (which should be most important) that DGB is worth picking up

coins with potentials is the coins that they have something to offer.. coins with good developers and good community.. like bitcoin, litecoin, darkcoin, vertcoin, digibyte, worldcoin, reddcoin..

Investors wait years and years for solid returns, and people like you are flipping out in 5 months. Your in thw wrong game, and your sense of frustration seems to more than likely stem from un-natural 'HYPER-growth' pump & dumps. This is the problem with crypto, to many of these have 'trained' people to respond like this, and if they dont see returns in days & weeks, they get fustrated. If you want to profit off DGB, it can be done, almost every 3 or 4 days, look @ the charts & day trade to your hearts content.

What makes you frustrated? What are you expecting?

These long term announcements are great and all, but Digibyte is going to be left in the dust. The coin will not have value to keep itself up, crypto is all speculative, what it could be, and digibyte is on the wrong timeline. There will not be enough room for any decent value alts soon, BTC, DRK, and DOGE will hold all of the value soon. This is not a pump and dump, the alt world is aware of this, you have established yourself. There is no value in a coin that will be lost in the dust by the ones that "hustle". Change your pinned tweet, false advertising almost. Frustrated that is all, but seriously try to bring value to the coin, if you want a marketplace how is it going to work with no value?

 

We did a an audit of the DigiByte blockchain around the time of the New York convention that revealed DigiBytes in roughly 30,000+ addresses. We are sure there is more at this point. We should do another audit to see!

To those wanting an instant algo change. That is not realistic or possible. It took us almost two months to design, implement and test DigiShield. Look what that did for not only DigiByte, but most of the alt coin community.

A hard fork can be a disaster and the end of a coin if done improperly. It is very dishonest and unethical to not make absolutely sure everything will work. This process takes time. We are developing our own spin-off of the Myriadcoin approach. We are not simply copy, pasting code over. Not to mention since we were the 1st Scrypt coin to implement the 0.9.1 protocol we have a significantly different code base.

As stated many times we are in this for the long haul. We have developed a reputation of trust and transparency with many people on the inside and outside of the existing cryptocurrency community. We do not want to loose that with short term pump & dump gains. When we make a decision we are thinking long term, years from now.

Are there any rough estimates or figures for the user count of Digibyte?

Not trying to be harsh but this was nothing that we didn't already know and I've got to admit months to change to what Myriad is already doing is not what I was hoping for.  Hmmm time to think. 

34-37 support holding, for now anyway. 34 low on Mintpal and 37 on Cryptsy.

40 is a key short term level to watch on Mintpal.

Big battle going on at support (was hoping for the opposite). Let's see if it holds in the face of this selling pressure. A break below would leave us praying for a bear trap.

Can you tell us more about this meeting with investors? DigiByte needs much more momentum. Announcement that a decision was made ( which by the way was planned months ago on the website ) is not enough.

Now wait a few months till its implemented and tested. Back to 33 Satoshi stagnation line and dead capital. All that while BTC runs towards 1000$ again. Alot of patience needed now.

I don't know why he would want to force the price down, but snapped 2.5 million dgb's right there.

If you wanted to buy more, cheaply, ASAP... wouldent that be the best way ( force ) the market low..buy & then remove your sells? If theres a better way..lemme know.

Someone (one person) is selling millions of coins on mintpal all of a sudden. Any idea why?

Edit: and after a few minutes sell orders were removed. There were exactly 600,000 dgb sell oders at 40 satoshi and up for a while and now they are removed. Maybe a bot that exploded?

When will you be able to discuss the marketing and exchange? Don't get me wrong this announcement is everything DGB needed, but the price will not be affected for another few months. In for the long-term, just getting bored.
