Then how do you propose to check if a candidate is indeed female or not?
I can think of many ways, but none of them I dare type here Tongue

How about a category per country? Mr or Mrs Italy Spaghetti? Mr or Mrs Baguette? Mr or Mrs Hamburger? Lol Cheesy

I have had a chat with her, her tones and emotions are femalike
Tone and emotions could also be deceiving, here is why:
Have you noticed every time some one tags me, I'd go post a topic on reputation board and would go to meta crying to theymos that they have done me wrong?  Well my tone and emotions at such times is like a spoiled little bitch. So.. 😂

what are you? Brother, sister or an alien from mars? 👽
A hodler 😉

Please, be careful mentioning agency in this forum, if theymos hears it, he might ban gender from January, 2024 Grin
He already heard about it. Now we wait for the next topic from him 😂

I always thought bitcoingirl.club was a female user. So when I submitted my candidates I added bitcoingirl.club. Later GazetaBitcoin told me that she was a "he" not "she". Lol..what a confusion!!! Huh Had to edit again.
GazetaBitcoin made his guess and he can be wrong. I was once KYCed by only one, it's Theymos. If you hear anything from him then you may believe it but don't forget Theymos can also confuse you by not giving the correct information and if he does give you the correct information then I will report it to the right agency.

You are in a loophole brother 😂
Now I'm going crazy, I really am stuck in the loophole. 😑

Please give me the correct answer. 😭

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"
I know there are no ways to identify who is he or she but hey, this isn't some random contest. Is it? Most of the candidates are known to all.

Then how do you propose to check if a candidate is indeed female or not? By (having her) submitting her KYC? Smiley

Meet in person to follow through with various performance tests and a full-body inspection... not necessarily in that order.

[edited out]
Nah, that won't work, we can't be sure until they pull their pants down, because looks could be deceiving you know? 😉

.. I hate to be going here with you, but yes, pulling down pants is part of the full-body inspection.... and there would likely need to be a team of inspectors.. unless the nominees would be flown to a particular destination, perhaps the inspectors would be chosen at random from an eligible group in order not to discriminate.(or alternatively perhaps vote for the inspection committee, which may or may not result in discrimination.. who would want someone on an inspection team who is not able to discriminate to be making these kinds of decisions?  #asking for a friend)

[edited out]
Lol.. Grin Does anyone has any better ideas? I cannot think of anything, Lol. You guys should decide whatever the best. That was just a thought of mine. Anyway, it's kind of funny though, don't you think? I mean,  a man winning a women's competition! If a man really wins, that should be categorized as the "Joke of the year".

KYC=know your candidates?   Smiley

What could go wrong?  It is not like the candidates have to engage in a MMA fight.

Right?

Right?

Riiiiiiiiiggggggggghhhhhttttt?

The "true girls" would be disadvantaged in that... and maybe we could add MMA fighting to the necessary performance tests (besides being a good cook and knowing how to do laundry.. and of course, child care such as breast feeding).  The loser of the MMA fight becomes the winner of the Miss Bitcointalk.. even though "we" would tell the "fighters" the opposite, that they have to win the MMA to win as being Miss Bitcointalk, and that way they at least try to win.. throw in a bit of jello or mud wrestling too (not for Indian or Turkish members since these folks would have too many advantages in the mud/oil/jello wrestling department. whether man/woman or otherwise).

Nah, that won't work, we can't be sure until they pull their pants down, because looks could be deceiving you know? 😉
There is only one user I know of who has passed this test:

Hello Leo! You can still win.
I believe you are talking about men being discriminated, right? Smiley
You got me right. When it's against men, it's not discrimination.

Anyway, the subject has been debated after previous edition of the event. However, for avoiding having fillippone as the only one winner at this category (Mr. BitcoinTalk) we did not add it Smiley

Mister BitcoinTalk category was not added, as it would mean to have fillippone winner all the time (on all three places  Cheesy)
I expected to read, mister bitcointalk was removed because fillippone wins it all the time.

I believe that this category exists for a reason: there are few women in this field.
The problem is that we also have some difficulty in being sure who is a woman or not.

That's why in this category I only vote for the only user who I'm 100% sure is a woman. Roll Eyes

I think the rules should be readjusted for Miss Bitcointalk  Smiley. Isn't it supposed to be for a female? So if anyone unknowingly submits a user who is not a female then that candidate will be disqualified automatically. I know there are no ways to identify who is he or she but hey, this isn't some random contest. Is it? Most of the candidates are known to all.

What do you guys think about making a rule that you only vote for 1 candidate per category. I think it would make vote counting easier and the awards more competitive.

Quite the opposite... this would break voting system as it would generate plenty of nominees. If only 1 vote was allowed for qualification, then we would be faced with a huge number of users who received only one vote. The 3-vote rule for qualification is necessary precisely to avoid this confusion in the counting of votes.

This is true.

The problem is that we also have some difficulty in being sure who is a woman or not.

This is even more true Smiley

Sounds legit Smiley

**In BTC since 2013**
philipma1957 voted today and in the last category voting which is for Miss Bitcointalk , which I don't know if it has been discussed before. He said,
Miss Bitcointalk  if this is for a female it is a sexist reward.

why should a female get a reward for being a female and no male gets a reward for being a male. and If a guy decides he truly indetifies as a female is he allowed to win it.
In this spirit I wrote for JJG as I identify JJG as a girl. Grin

The question of why a female get a reward for being a female while there's no corresponding reward for the opposite gender demands an answer. Is there a kind of discrimination which has been overlooked for years? To the best of my knowledge, such an award of Miss goes in pair with Mr. Should Icopress consider including this in next year award or we live it this way which looks like a gender discrimination issue.

I previously drew the community's attention to the Miss Bitcointalk category in the Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 and that this smacks of discrimination. That same positive discrimination, in which one sex is given more privileges than the other (and it seemed that we lived in a world with equal rights). Bitcointalk is not the place for discussions on such a topic and I see only 2 solutions to this problem: remove this Miss Bitcointalk category altogether, or add a new Mister Bitcointalk category. It is up to the organizers to decide what exactly to do. But if something depended on me, then I would take the first path. The category must have at least some relation to the Bitcointalk forum and to the bitcoin in the form of an activity. Neither Miss Bitcointalk nor Mister Bitcointalk fit into the context of this competition. This is my personal opinion.

KingsDen, isn't obvious why women get a reward just like that? Because it's natural. OMG I was this close 👌 to go full porn right there.😂
Whenever you opened up the size of a watermelon, you'd understand why we care for females so much, any man demanding for the same attentions, well probably we should name them something else than a man.😉
