keep walking, Johnnie
So. The votes have been counted! I think that within a week we will make an announcement. It's funny, but BitcoinGirl.Club took 3rd place in the Miss Bitkintalk category, and since the winners of this category need to confirm their claims to the title, someone will have to show their tits.  Cheesy
This is a technical forum and it would be too easy to just show off tits. Let them use NFT (with tits) for confirmation their right to receive prize. Smiley

Show in public?  Shocked
And can this be replaced with some other alternative body parts as proof of ownership??
There is only one more body part left to proof ownership compete in this category. Do you really want to look at this? Smiley

Well, with discussions like this, it's time to change the name of the forum category from Miss Bitcointalk to Miss Titcointalk. Smiley

How about we increase the total Miss Bitcointalk places from next year?  Grin
Why? You think there are more than 3 women on the entire internet? Let alone on Bitcointalk?

It seems we need a suitable abbreviation for such things) NSFW?

Do we really need another dude licking his boob around here?

(Unless, of course, you're into that. In which case, who am I to judge?)  Wink

If BitcoinGirl.Club didn't come first, who did? Was it really a girl this time?
Rumors suggest that she came first, if you know what I mean.  Wink

Haha, speaking on behalf of the (obvious) winner of the Miss Bitcointalk category, I can say that she will not feel good reading this  Tongue Not because of the tits part, but because she will definetely argue that the place for miss bitcointalk should be open for any human (or perhaps not even human) being that is willing to identify themselves as a "miss".

I abruptly feel the need to make a proposal. How about we increase the total Miss Bitcointalk places from next year?  Grin

As soon I read this, I scrambled to my post, and I saw I wasn't merited.
Sigh.

I am sorry, fillippone, but the quality of your post did not meet the required standards for being merited. However, you may try to highlight your post here.

Yet, I have to try harder!

Yes, try harder you must. Don't think about merits though, they will come with time Cheesy

Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o
I was wondering why you Merited my vote.
That's 4 f**king merits! Completely waste, you may only need it to overtake Leo LOL.

Ideally, nobody should send merits in that topic. Practically, the rule states only that if you are nominated by someone at a category and you merit that post, that vote for you at that category will not be counted. So in theory you could send merits to other peoples voting for other users. Still, if you'd do that, it would only encourage others to act as well and also may some will not read the rules. As a consequence, they could merit posts where they were nominated, which would lead to have those votes not counted... It is best to not use merits inside that topic...
My realization [when all of us had discussion about merit sending on voting thread a few years back I guess?] was everything we did was to discourage awarding merit.

I can only do this when I feel that when writing a post the user was really guided by the description of a particular category.
Are you talking about the 4 merits you sent to LoyceV or in several votes the 1 merits to different members?
By doing any of it, you are endorsing your choice. It's encouraging others to find your reasons, your likeness, many will vote very close to your choice so that they can earn merit [hypothetical, I don't think anyone is going to do that for 1 to 4 merits LOL]. These merits can influence the natural practice of the voting and I think it was the exact reason we had the discussion long ago.

The worse fear is, by sending this merits you may able to attract attention of the voters. Consider Miss Bitcointalk category, just an example since it gives me some votes LOL. Someone is voting and they are not sure who to vote, they saw you are sending merits to several votes and instantly they are thinking about you and it is going to influence their voting.

Sigh.
I thought for many hours about my nominees, with multiple changes over the days, trying to figure out the most compelling ones.
I was particularly proud of some of them, and I asked some more expert users about the possibility of including some other choices, which were actually dismissed.
Yet, I have to try harder!

If a user nominated someone and wrote a really insightful post explaining their reasons, and this post was deserved by the person nominated, then I see no reason not to take that vote into account. If this happens systematically, then of course it will be rejected.
I was wondering why you Merited my vote.

I don't think you're setting a good example though, when you tell people not to Merit posts but do it yourself:

Well, in reality, this only applies to obvious abuses.

If a user nominated someone and wrote a really insightful post explaining their reasons, and this post was deserved by the person nominated, then I see no reason not to take that vote into account. If this happens systematically, then of course it will be rejected.

My suggestion is the following:
- change "Pidgin" with "Pid" and "Indo" with "Idn" (thus all languages appear with a ticker made by 3 letters)
- changed "Ben" with "Ban" (according to Learn Bitcoin, this is the correct ticker for Bengali language)
Changed!

In which circumstance I can send merit to a post on the voting topic? As far as I remember we all agreed that we can not merit anyone, I am sure my understanding was wrong.

If I remember correctly, at least there was a discussion about the fact that anyone who votes for the post in which he is nominated, that vote is disqualified. Now I see that franky1 rewarded some posts that nominated him with merit.
Is this franky1's try to avoid the AntiHero award? I must admit an interesting strategy, now it deserves this label even more.  Cheesy

3 new languages have been added to the OP. Thanks to all translators!

I am replying here to keep voting thread as clean as possible Smiley

Kind request to icopress: I noticed that you added those translations, but I also kindly asking you to make them look a bit more aesthetic. Right now they look like this:
