The DNotes market report for Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Since CoinMarketcap does not recognize any active DNotes markets, and our only market right now is NLexch (not recognized by CMC), I am reporting what's going on with that market once a day so that we can all be apprised of the current market price for DNotes.

Early this morning three sets of DNotes were purchased at 400 Satoshi. The top bid remained at 304 and once all the DNotes for sale at 400 were picked up, the lowest ask is still 499.

This puts the current price of DNotes at $0.032203. The 24 hour volume is 8100.295 DNotes. The high is 400 Satoshi and the low is 300 Satoshi.

Wiser, how do you know it is the 2.0 blockchain and not the 1.0 chain?  The reason I ask is because I just opened an account and want to buy some more Notes.  Just want to make sure I’m buying the right ones.  I see great things in the future for Dnote and want To add to my position while it’s undervalued.  Thanks.

Hi 1Hakuba, welcome to the DNotes forum and thank you! The easiest way to tell is to check the deposit address. If the deposit address begins with an "S", that is the DNotes 2.0 chain.

For anyone interested, this is the fake ICO site launched by the SEC that was referenced in the above article posted by Dyna:

It is good to educate crypto investors, using Howeycoin fake ICO. Nice works from both SEC and forum admin. Grin

I am not in favor of burdensome regulations that stifle innovation. In this particular case, I agree that the SEC team has been doing their best to educate and protect consumers. Great job.

What do I think about Dnotes after four years?

“My opinion is”
Fact: 1) Just because you can’t see a warrior(Dnotes) in the bushes, doesn’t mean that one is not going to strike the cattle (other crypto currencies) that are in the fields grazing all the green off the pastures. Times are changing and Dnotes will strike when the time is right.

Fact 2: reread fact one and absorb Grin

NOTE: This is not be the proper analogy being that Dnotes wants to work with everyone not against

Thank you mrbum805. Great leadership is not about flexing muscles and telling others about their “golden rule” (he who holds the gold make the rule). Unfortunately, we are seeing plenty of that in our industry. We prefer to help educate others who wish to learn and respectfully lead by example. Yes, we indeed place high value in doing the right thing at the right time.

If you are wondering what is causing another down day in our industry, Cryptosweep may be the industry “broom sweep” clean project causing it. We have consistently warned about the risk of ICOs and urged extreme caution and the need for due diligence before investing.

US and Canadian Securities Regulators Coordinate ICO Probe in ‘Operation Cryptosweep’

US and Canadian state and provincial securities regulators have opened probes into potentially fraudulent crypto investment programs in what has been dubbed “Operation Cryptosweep”, according to a press release May 21. The latest crackdown on suspicious crypto investment products is reportedly the largest such coordinated investigation by state and provincial officials.

Regulators from across 40 jurisdictions coordinated by the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) have initiated up to 70 investigations, with more to come in the following weeks. Securities regulators have reportedly warned as many as 35 companies about violations of state securities laws with some cases resulting in cease-and-desist actions.

NASAA, which released a warning for Main Street investors regarding the risks associated with crypto and ICOs early this year, said the probe is focusing on suspicious cases of initial coin offerings (ICOs).

According to the Washington Post, investigators discovered about 30,000 crypto-related domain names in recent weeks, most of which were registered last year when the Bitcoin (BTC) price reached its all-time-high of around $20,000.

Alleged scams have reportedly used fake addresses, flashy marketing materials, and guarantees of up to a 4 percent daily interest rate, while failing to report the potential risks of crypto-investments. Some fraudulent ICOs even used fake celebrity photos to endorse their product.

The president of NASAA Joseph Borg stated that regulators do their best to stay one step ahead of potential security violations, noting that not every ICO or cryptocurrency investment is fraudulent.

"We’re putting ourselves in the shoes of investors. We’re seeing what’s being promoted to investors. And then we’re taking the next step and then we’re finding out whether they’re complying with securities laws."

Founded in 1919, the NASAA is an association of state and provincial-level securities regulators in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Through the association, state securities regulators can coordinate and take part in “multi-state enforcement actions,” as well as share information.

Earlier in May, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) launched a fake initial coin offering website to increase awareness of the typical warning signs of scam ICOs and to promote investor education.

DNotes
Wondering what DNotes is all about? Here’s the basics:

What is DNotes?
•   DNotes is a digital currency with a purpose: to serve as a real currency that people can use in their daily lives - unlike other digital currencies that focus on solving niche problems, with no plan to become a real, usable currency.
•   The DNotes goal is simple: achieve mass adoption and become the world’s first accessible, inclusive, and financially empowering digital currency that benefits everyone around the globe.

What are DNotes’ Benefits as a Currency?
•   DNotes is managed as a business – but not controlled as one.
•   DNotes success is driven by a profit-generating company, DNotes Global, created to promote mass adoption, protect the currency, and ensure sustainable growth.
•   DNotes’ unique CRISP savings program rewards DNotes owners with 0.5% interest, every month
•   DNotes offers staking rewards for stakeholders – at 2% a year.
•   DNotes provides blockchain invoicing features to simplify merchant acceptance and adoption of the digital currency.

What Benefits Does DNotes Global Provide?
DNotes Global protects DNotes and its stakeholders, promotes mass adoption, and creates value and utility for the digital currency, including a fully integrated ecosystem.
The company provides a unique cross-ownership model, with DNotes owning 25% of DNotes Global (pre-dilution), while the for-profit business maintains a stake in the digital currency.
DNotes Global generates profit, creating intrinsic value for the DNotes currency to help create a “floor” for the digital currency’s value.
DNotes Global has plans to build a long-term competitive advantage by offering services that utilize DNotes. That strategy will also help to facilitate awareness and adoption of the DNotes currency.
Long term competitive advantage DNotes Global will provide in offering services that utilize DNotes.

What’s Next?
Fully compliant Reg D 506 (c) crowdfunding followed by a Reg A+ Mini-IPO.
DNotes Payment Solution Integration into Existing eCommerce Platforms
Cold Staking Implementation & More

It’s interesting for me to recall why I decided to give up the most precious years of my retirement to join this industry over four years ago. As a part of my research, I visited many forums and was astonished by the level of hostility and destructive conduct.

I was intrigued by the concept of decentralized entities, being trustless and leaderless. Then I came to realize that those were precisely why our industry has been so chaotic and destructive – no leader; no rules – the wild west, which still hold true today.

My mission was to help provide some leadership, especially, to DNotes, but hopefully to our industry as well. I am grateful that we are seeing some positive impact and continuing to gain respect and followings. The credit should go to all of you for supporting our cause in building DNotes as the trusted inclusive digital currency to the benefit of everyone worldwide. We are only getting started with a lot more work ahead of us. We are primed for exciting times ahead.

I've definitely noticed the hostility in this space, especially on this very forum. I wrote about it here: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@wiser/victims-of-scams-should-feel-free-to-share-their-stories

As for providing leadership, another place where solid leadership is needed is in the whole area of ICOs. On a technical level, it's a cool concept. The part that is destructive is that people have used them to bypass many of the needed investor protection laws, many even maliciously taking advantage of their investors with many more well intentioned people simply failing to deliver for various reasons. The other piece of the puzzle is that investor protection regulations may have gotten too stringent and compliance too expensive leading to the side effect of making it too difficult for truly great innovations to make it. I don't see the US Government as deliberately setting out to squash innovation and small players. However, they would need some guidance in the whole area of updating and streamlining regulations to be more inclusive as needed but without leaving investors unprotected. But without solid industry leadership, I think ICOs as a group will in the end have the opposite effect, which is to squash innovation even further because bad actors tend to breed strict rules to shut them out but which may also shut out good people.

This article from CoinDesk was originally distributed to Consensus 2018 attendees, so I think may represent the current thought process of the industry.

So, when can we expect to see a listing on an exchange people use like kucoin, binance, hitbtc, topia, idex, etc...?

Hi CryptoM173, welcome to the DNotes forum.

We are currently listed on:
https://www.nlexch.com/markets/notebtc
https://bitebtc.com/trade/note_btc

We are actively working and in communication with:
https://blockbid.io/
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/
https://www.cryptaldash.com/
https://www.listex.io/

I expect some of these exchanges will take a long time to get connected with the right people. Idex is a ethereum token exchange, we wouldn't qualify to be listed there. The others we have reached out to, submitted officially, and connected with their teams where possible. As soon as we have news that we can announce we will let everyone know.

Certainly, you are my senior when it comes to years of experience in the crypto space. I respect you for that, wiser. We are very fortunate to have your support.

I promise I won't rub it in too much LOL. You have certainly accomplished a lot with your time here Smiley Very happy to be here.

Excellent, wiser.

In response to an article on Crowdfund Insider I just sent a congratulatory message to Chris Lee: https://www.crowdfundinsider.com/2018/05/133741-huobi-group-appoints-chris-lee-former-ceo-of-okex-as-vp-of-global-business-development/

“Congratulations on your appointment as VP of Global Business Development of Huobi Group as mentioned by Crowdfund Insider. I love to connect with you on LinkedIn on the possibility of listing DNotes 2.0 on Huobi Exchange. DNotes is positioned to be a major player: https://dnotesglobal.com/white-paper/

DNotes has submitted a formal application to Huobi Exchange over month ago. I just want to share with our community some of the things that we do behind the scene. We have a team who never stop working. I am very proud of you all.

We are very fortunate to have a second featured article published on Crowdfund Insider. It is well read by law makers and regulators. DCEBrief is also becoming an important source.

No one knows it all. I stay quiet and listen attentively when I am clueless. Apparently, Warren Buffet follows a different set of rules when it comes to Bitcoin and digital currencies. Check it out.

Congratulations!

A common mistake lots of people make, whether successful or not, is to assume they already know everything there is to know about something. That can be a tough mental habit to break. For me, getting involved in the cryptocurrency industry early on (nearly an entire year before you, Alan) helped a lot. Since it was such a new industry there was no way for me to have any sort of expectation of knowing everything, so I was very eager to learn. Now that I know a bit more about it, it helps me in other areas to be OK with not already knowing and therefore, listening and learning from someone else.

Certainly, you are my senior when it comes to years of experience in the crypto space. I respect you for that, wiser. We are very fortunate to have your support.
