It may depend on the capital of the investor itself if it has a lot of capital holding bitcoin I think is good but if only a small capital we have to play in ethereum or hold it also does not matter because bitcoin increase of course affects altcoin itself.

That's what I noticed, the stability of ethereum is stronger than bitcoin. Fluctuations in ethereum do not panic even though it is down. Therefore I personally choose ethereum. 
I think that it makes no sense to keep bitcoin, separately on a long-term basis. its forecasts - the price may rise to $ 50,000 by summer, then you will be able to get a good profit.
for my own I prefer to hold Ethereum I will hold for one year ahead because of the possibility of Ethereum prices going back up next year although now Ethereum is down drastically.
I prefer to choose both. BTC and ETH are the best investments.

For me if I had descent amount of bitcoin or i ethereum I would not hold them actually I would trade them especially bitcoin because that would be more profitable and for ethereum I would participate with it in icos

I agree with you, the economic principle is to use small capital to find profits of magnitude, I am very confident if using the same capital then the profits will be greater if the holding eth
I think Ethereum is much better. Admittedly, it make people easier to make regular transactions, to pay for goods or services, or send cryptocurrency to a loved one. With less of a scaling problem, its blockchain is far more open and you’ll see your currency confirmed far faster. You’ll be charged much less for the privilege too. It’s not perfect, but it’s far better than bitcoin in that respect.
currently my assets are in bitcoin and ethereum because I am more confident these two coins. because I think only bitcoin and ethereum are widely accepted in many countries whereas other altcoins are not. therefore i prefer bitcoin and ethereum.
