Crytpo and blockchain is pretty big. Many companies are starting to use blockchain technology so its still in the infancy stages. Rules and regulations are being implemented so we may see rough times until then but the regulations is good for crypto in general.

Yes, I truly believe that there is a lot of potential in crypto-currencies and the blockchain technology too, I agree that there are many investors who are thinking to become rich overnight with crypto-currencies, but they are most likely to fall hard with that thinking, this group of investors does not even have any basic knowledge of what is bitcoin or blockchain exactly, and they just invest their money into crypto-currencies purely based on news that they heard from the traditional media.

Agree with you. Lot of people started to invest in Nov-Dec last year when btc and crypto went viral on social networks. They tried to cut corners and they lost just because they didn't understand the market and the general idea of how crypto works.

It depends on the perspective you have, people who is holding for the long term truly believe in cryptocurrencies, others who just bought 'wanting do do some quick profit' may not, all crypto investments should be aimed to the long term as the price fluctuations are huge.
Cryptocurrency is just one application of blockchain. You can find a lot more other applications of blockchain which are more productive than cryptocurrency. But instead of believing in a specific coin or cryptocurrency, try to understand the technology. This will help you make money rather than blindly believing in some coin
