Not all celebrities can be trusted, because some of them are just after money. So they may not care is the project is genuine or not, inasmuch as they are paid their money. Although, there are some of them with integrity, such can be trusted whenever they endorse a project. I want to hear other people's opinion if you would trust celebrities endorsing cryptocurrencies.
I do trust them, remember that someone who will advertise a cryptocurrency or any product to be sell in public will have legal matters to face once proven fake or scam.
So, celebrities are good kind of advertisements, and the team who will hire that one will definitely in huge amount of p[ayment.
I can tell that the project is really into something big and legit.
I don't trust nobody put here, everyone is here for the money and all the hype they keep creating is to get peoples money. It's not like they understand the tech behind the project.

i am not sure about what celebretie's could do for crypto but it is absolute more difficult for them to take part in a scam because of their star status , maybe it could bring more safety
No one or even a celebrity can influence the judgment of the self. Independent thinking is a necessary condition for investment. Only when investors become more rational, the market becomes more rational, and complete fraud will only lead to the damage of Bitcoin's reputation.
I would treat a celebrity endorsement as a negative. It has been my experience that when a project goes out to seek celebrity endorsements that project almost always ends up being a scam. I look for endorsement by knowledgeable and successful people within the cryptocurrency industry, not athletes or movie stars who know nothing and are just there to attract unknowledgeable investors into parting with their money.
If that's true I think the more the project being exposed a higher chance it will exposed to people and that project will eventually being found out its weaknesses,In my opinion also celebrity endorsement is the most useless thing, the one who endorse know nothing and the project didnt aim the right audience, the entire thing is just ridiculous.
for me depending on the product offered, it doesn't matter who is promoting but if it's offered it's good why not, so it's better first step just trace about the project and then make a decision if you think it's good to do it if you don't leave it. this my tips
