There are many stories of such cases. A man wins hundreds of thousands dollars in poker and loses it all the same day to slots or roulette. The thing is with addicted gamblers is that they won't stop until they lose everything. If they have money - they gamble, like they don't understand what else can you do with it.

So, the answer to the question in the OP: No, addicted gamblers don't only lose money all the time, but being chronic losers as they are, they lose all their winning all the time. That's true.
I think you are right those who are addicted to gambling might not control himself/herself before losing all of his/her funds. But those who are not fully addicted and those who can control himself/herself the person can stop anytime when the person wants.

What stimulates gambling addiction is from the winning which the gambler has been experiencing, this will give him the impression of gambling as a good source of income due to his continuous winning, maybe him having more win than loses. At the end, getting addicted will only make him increase his staking power which the sites must surely take profit as he loses then he will be left with no option than to chase his loses which means going extra extent to get money either by selling properties or loans. The reward at last is always dangerous, that is why it is best not to get addicted.
Over the years scientists have realized that the random nature of gambling not only helps casinos to protect themselves from skilled gamblers, but it has an effect on the rate at which a behavior is repeated, so if a person begins to gamble and they begin to think about the possibility of actually earning money in this way, there are high chances of becoming addicted, as they begin to repeat this behavior until it becomes second nature to them.

Yes, maybe that is one of the things that casinos know, so they apply an algorithm that runs randomly by providing a chance of winning that applies to all gamblers, so that when a gambler feels that he has failed in his efforts to win, in the end he will be curious to try the method. the second time and so on it will be like that which in the end we call it an addiction cycle.

This means that in this case the casino already knows what the situation will be like
by gamblers which ultimately leads them to always repeat the same mistakes in order to realize their curiosity and hopes regarding winning. Therefore, this is the reason why gamblers, especially those who have just arrived and are involved in gambling, always use common sense and a rational mindset, because if nothing else, you will definitely be able to make truly wise decisions and will not easily fall into things that look tempting

Spending more time in gambling doesn't increase your chance of winning but it can make you more responsible as you experienced many losses already. Addicted gamblers doesn't mean you're on the losing streak, addicted can means different if you know how to deal with gambling. Excessive mistakes with gambling can put you into a bad situation, and having a bad attitude towards gambling is not ok at all most of the time they suffer a lot because of their own actions.
Of course spending more time on gambling activities doesn't increase a gambler's winnings, rather it can relatively improve the gamblers experience and level of understanding especially for games the depend more on factors like analysis and experience and most of the time less luck. Gambling activities should be carried out in a disciplined manner to avoid gambling addictions , therefore as a gambler spending too much time on gambling activities can often turn out to have negative effects of addiction on the gambler.

As a gambler you should be able to properly manage your losses and winnings. So in cases where the losses are becoming uneconomical the gambler could take a break instead of staking unnecessarily based on his emotions.

Of course, in fact in gambling there is no difference between gamblers who are addicted and ordinary gamblers who come with the intention of just looking for entertainment, meaning that the chances of winning apply to all typical gamblers regardless of how they treat their gambling activities, but yes, as you said, one The difference between gamblers who are addicted and those who are not addicted is in terms of the way they take action after winning, where they always find it difficult to ignore their greed, in the sense that when they win, they continue the game by increasing the risk of betting, which in the end results in this action. brought them back to defeat.

So it doesn't mean that addicted gamblers always experience defeat, but as a result of the wrong way they treat their gambling, in the end, losses occur more often than wins because they treat their gambling activities wrongly.

Yeah most people misinterprets gambling addicts to be those that doesn't win at all but yet they get money from other sources to finance their gambling but it's not like that and there are some addicts that even wins more than an ordinary gambler that plays occasionally because there are higher chances of a continuous gambler to win just that at the end they still end up losing all their winnings and all their efforts goes in vain so gambling addicts wins and apart from those set of gamblers that doesn't give up on an amount they have lost and continue chasing losses till they get addicted if not gambling addicts are even the higher winners but in the quest to win more out of greed makes them look so foolish after losing everything.

Yes, it must be true that addicted gamblers also do not mean that they always lose, because after all, as we discussed above, the chances of winning are for everyone involved in gambling, and yes I agree with you that sometimes addicted gamblers manage to get a much bigger win than non-addicted gamblers, And I think it's very reasonable because as we know that addicted gamblers usually do not hesitate to take various significant or overly aggressive decisions such as betting with large budget amounts which when luck comes at the right time then it means that their winnings must also be large.

But yes in the end because they have the wrong way of treating their gambling activities such as applying greed then yes the bad possibilities they experience again such as losing all the amounts they have previously earned and the situation is a situation that makes an addicted gambler experience more significant emotions that make them assume and think of chasing losses as we often hear and it is caused by a sense of revenge in themselves.

People who gamble excessively are necessary not responsible gamblers. Your level of responsibility as a gambler actually depends on other Gambling habits and in fact gambling too frequently is not even a proper habit. Experienced gamblers are usually those that take time to study and understand not only the gambling activities the indulge in but also their level of dependence and seriousness in gambling activities.
Personally I believe that people tag gambling addicts as addicts mainly because they lose more too often than they make wins making their gambling none profitable. Gambling addicts most of the time are unable to control their spendings and even time they put into gambling activities.

I agree with you, that is part of the fact.
Addicted gamblers often don't appreciate their winnings, I mean they don't know how to stop because of their ambition to win more. Of course, this is self-defeating behavior and as far as I know, the average greedy gambler ends up going home empty-handed.

Recently someone I know (not a friend) won almost $32k betting on slot games. He withdrew his winnings later that day and planned to buy a car for fun, while he was still gambling every day. In the end, he still failed to stop after winning the big win because to fulfill his gambling needs he pawned his car to get money. I don't need to tell you where the car is now, you can guess the end of the story.

Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?

On this board, we are always referring addiction as a terrible thing but does it mean that those addicted gamblers doesn't win money, are they only bounded to losses upon losses?

Not really that gambling addicts don't win, they do win but still find themselves losing all they've won because addiction makes people not to be conscious about their spending so in most cases when an addicted gambler win certain amount of money instead of going home and use the money won for important things rather than gamble they will still end up losing all either after winning or they can still decide to continue betting and at the end every thing is gone again. When we lay so much emphasis on the negative and bad aspects of gambling addiction it doesn't mean that they are not lucky sometimes but due to the fact that even when they get lucky they still stupidly make several mistakes again that is the major problem.

I feel so bother and that is why I decided to ask this question.

We keep talking about gambling addiction and how bad it is to become addicted, does it mean that addicted gamblers lose money all the time? Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?

On this board, we are always referring addiction as a terrible thing but does it mean that those addicted gamblers doesn't win money, are they only bounded to losses upon losses?
No one is saying that, they would also have times they win money also but what difference does it make when they would also spend that money to gamble again and even more.
The board has only emphasised on the bad side of gambling cause it clearly outweighs every other benefits if there are any that could come with it.

Addiction depends on the level and behavior, even addiction is classified into several different parts.  there are those who have low addiction or also those who have severe addiction, usually called Gambling Disorder. Usually gamblers like this have a tendency that makes them gamble continuously, and this can then cause changes in the way the brain sends signals. The brain will automatically want more things to move the reward system, until finally the activity becomes a very excessive habit.

When someone becomes an addict, a system of desires and preferences will be intertwined. As a result, addicts will want to get what they want rather than what they like or need. In the end, people who experience an addiction disorder are filled with a high desire to do more activities to get pleasure. but no matter how much they win, for example if they are lucky, in the end the money they earn will end up back on the gambling table. that's why, this fits the theme of the OP's title in this thread. but not all addicts are like that, if they are still within control limits. they will soon realize, and end the game. whether winning or losing, not all addicts will spend their time playing and betting. as I said, every addict is at a different level. Regarding matters of winning or losing, this is actually part of gambling.

Addicted gamblers do not always lose but sometimes they win and they don't enjoy that win because they utilise that reward again for earning more but all the time there is not a win win situation in his luck. Addictive gamblers lose more but their wins are not large in number because they always try to recover the lost amount but cannot do this as they don't give a break to gambling but continuously gambling without using their mind.

Greed is the main reason behind the addiction of gamblers and they don't gamble with a limited amount but increase the limit after each loss therefore they become an addictive gambler and can never leave to gamble.

In the first two sentences of your post, you stated two observations of yours that I totally agree with but when you said that addicted gamblers have more win than losses, I became a little bit confused. Addicted gamblers like you said do win intermittently which does increase their belief of winning huge at the end of their gambling engagements but majority of the time they gamble, they do end up losing their money. Addicted gamblers are naturally greedy and aren't never satisfied with whatever win they get and that's why you see them winning a huge sum of money and still lose everything they had initially won at in less than an hour. They'll not even stop at the money they've lost already but will continue to gamble till they finish every single money on them. Addicted gamblers does not only lose their money but they lose more money than they win.

Gamblers who are addicted actually have a problem with themselves when they chase and try to recover their losses and then win, in fact they don't stop gambling, instead they want to keep winning even bigger and end up going home empty-handed, just as you said, that greed. Making people addicted to gambling is actually not because they don't win or lose, but because they can't control themselves from gambling addiction and can't play more responsibly. The point is that every gambler must be aware of this and reduce their addiction slowly.

There are no gamblers who get rich because of gambling and there are no gambling sites that go bankrupt because many gamblers win, these words might be able to represent and slap gambling addicts that they don't need to be too serious about gambling, let alone winning, any kind of gambling will not be suitable as a source of income, if we want to earn money, don't make gambling a source of income, but working or doing business is more profitable, gambling should only be used as entertainment, that's definitely suitable, the point is, be a gambler who knows when to gamble and knows when to stop gambling, don't to gambling addiction.

They also earn money from their gambling, but because they are addicted to gambling, in the end they just gamble all their money every day without stopping, that is a problem, because casinos have a house edge which makes the gambler's chance of winning slimmer and that will cause a greater percentage of gamblers to lose. Because gambling is not just about gambling every day, but also gamblers need to consider taking a break from their gambling activities - because wise gamblers are those who can manage their finances well and not gamble excessively and they understand when to stop.
They can earn money from gambling but if they can thinks that will be difficult, they will thinks twice to do that because they will not wants to risks much money in gambling. That will be what a wise gamblers do because they have a bad experience losing their money when playing gambling and they don't wants to get the same experiences. They don't wants to becomes addicted gambling because they can lose money all of the time and they will still difficult to wins on gambling games. They prefer to use their time to playing gambling moderately and enjoy the games instead to use more money which will not gives the wins easily. Playing gambling needs to takes a break to manages their emotions not to becomes higher and makes them lose control. They knows that they must prevents the big lose from gambling and avoids the biggest problem that every gamblers can gets which will becomes addicted to gambling.
