The number of scam projects makes it very difficult for new crypto reputations who want to find investors with ICO, IDO or IEO, moreover the competition for cryptocurrencies is currently very tight, the best way to avoid scam projects is to always follow the advice of the masters in this forum.

You can't always identify scams for sure unless they do something fraudulent. However, if you are a little alert, then most of the time you will understand which project is shady and likely to scam.

Most of the time scam projects will DM you first. they offer you various lucky things via email, telegram, and so on.
Most of the time e-scam projects come with cheap tempting offers. Samples of these offers indicate that the project is fraudulent.
They will ask you to transfer money quickly, they will not give you a chance to think. They will say time is running out and they will put pressure, again and again, to pay within 10 minutes or 20 minutes.
Scam projects can often ask you to reveal your personal secrets, such as your password, date of birth, etc.
Scam projects duplicate their profiles and never reveal the real face.

Most of the time greedy people are the victims. We need a little caution to keep ourselves safe from these scams.

There are many schemes like this on the web; even on youtube, there are fake events from influential entrepreneurs promising that they will give double the amount of BTC sent to them. These newbies should know that these billionaires have no time for this kind of event, and they don't give things for free. Also, it would be better if youtube regulate this. Schemes like this are very obvious; it should never go on people's suggestion space.

Valuable things like Bitcoin, ETH, or any other altcoin with stable value in the market will be difficult to give away for free easily. Scams happen always, and we need to be vigilant. The best way is to wirelessly them. I have been scammed for money and I am aware of the pain of losing the money I have.
I don't believe in free stuff from this market other than bonuses and airdrops. New projects are hard to value and often undervalued, so social media helps people spread the word. Get rewards from specific jobs that can offer low returns but zero risks.

In order not to lose all my funds at one moment, I distributed my cryptocurrencies on different wallets-trust,ownr,atomic, exodus. For me, this is one of the right ways.

Same thing with me. I usually do not stick to just one wallet only. Diversification is necessary. I spread it across multiple Trust Wallet, Metamask, MEW, Exodus, etc., and even my Ledger Nano S. Putting all of our eggs in one basket is such a bad idea to be honest when it comes to asset storage.

Not so safe if you store it in an online wallet because attacks on online wallets are pretty prevalent so I don't like or advice storing wallets online. I like your splitting though, helps that you don't lose all your funds all at ones although the downside is that it's inconvenient.

well scammers exists in every industry and they are part of our life since the beginning of the life but i think crypto currency ecosystem is gold mine for them ,  there are too many ways to steal money here , and too many greed in it . So i don't want goverments to involve this ecosystem then we have only one solution left which is community should fight this . I double check everything when i m making a transaction but still it is possible to get scammed so we really have to fight with this together .

I never trust this kind of events. It's obvious that it's not safe. Hackers captured even Elon Musk's Twitter account and swindled many people. Do not trust everyone! There are frauds everywhere. This is a very simple trick.
Let's all try to stay safe and be cautious, it will be so bad raising funds to invest and after buying your precious bitcoin you in turn give it to scammers for free, there shouldn't be a need of doubling bitcoin, just buy and hodl for a while surely good profit will be made, but going in search of bitcoin doubling surely will bring no good but leading to the hands of scammers, remember anything which is too good to be true is a scam.

Thats why we should not grab any giveaway like this. Those greed people never stop tricking other specially they are targeting those new in crypto. Some would lure you at the beginning but once you bite on their bat that will produce scammmmm.
The main target is the newbie. by taking advantage of their lack of knowledge and experience, the scammers make a profit. Usually the most common mode is to ask to transfer a certain number of coins with a certain nominal so that the airdrop can be claimed or withdrawn. luckily I didn't have enough money to claim, so I was able to avoid such scams. after that i started to learn a lot of things, nothing is really free, it has to be some effort or luck.
^ I remember before when I was actively looking for the project ICO that has an airdrop and yes, they are very profitable and I believe that there is money on the internet. But now, that is all are gone, you can't earn even a single penny in airdrop and most of them are just only pure scams or getting your KYC documents. Scammers are everywhere we should keep our eye on our BTC holding, when there is something free that offer online, just look at it and verify what it is.
Those are only the days where that 2017 golden year of ICO's on where airdrops does have significant value for most of them but now only 1% i could say that do really ending up on getting some value.

It would vary on the potential of the project and we know that most of them are just trash or pure garbage or scam. When you do gain sufficient knowledge and experience to this market then

you do at least be already aware on how things been working. You should be careful and be sensitive enough on dealings that do happen in the net because scams are just on the corner.

They wouldn't trapped if they are not curious, and they wouldn't curious if they know money can't easily earned with way like that. Some people although not all who trapped into something like that, usually want to be rich in a short and easy way, not only scammers like that, usually they joined ponzi site and don't think what risk behind it. Risk that they can run with all of their money.

There are lazy people who continue believing that luck may come and change their lives, instead of doing

good research they will take part in anything that will allow them to win or earned, ponzi is another

type of scam where many people fall from sweet and alluring promises from scam developers.

Usually, the ones who will become victims of scams are inexperienced beginners. They do have great greed. They think crypto is a means of getting rich instantly, so they are willing to give their bitcoins to multiply. This is the biggest mistake for beginners. Beginners should know and realize that many cybercriminals will rob their money in various ways.
There are times that even the veterans could get duped too, remember Jim Browning got scammed by a social engineering scheme that made him delete his YouTube channel. But yes, most of the time, it's the beginners that needs to be really careful because stupid stuff might happen.

And there is nothing be blame with their actions but just themselves.

I can remember my old friend joining a Ponzi scheme program, he comes and encourages me to join as we can grow our money fast. I said NO and have to give him some warning but he never listens to me. And now, he was in huge debts as he losses almost everything he has because of such a stupid investment.

And this could be similar to this when we are too greedy about money and have no time to think if this is legit or a big scam.

Everything that seems to good to be true is probably fake, or scams. Not surprised, but hopefully people will realize it and avoid them. I guess you shouldn't believe anything if you need to handover your bitcoin. It'll be okay if you just need to do something and gain bitcoin instead. Actually, just in case you don't know yet, there are a lot of cryptocurrency give away right now in twitter. Although it seems really fake and too good to be true, but it's 100% legit. They are giving starting from $1, $100 or even $1000 worth of cryptocurrency coins freely. Not really free, but most of the time you just need to follow the twitter account, join their telegram, or vote for the coins. Everything is easy. Although there are some scams account as well which never give out the reward, there are tons that are legit, my friend has got $100, while I haven't got that much but I once win $10 of BNB though, it's good enough without needing to do anything hard or spend any money.

That's because there's always a newbie every day in crypto, that's why there are people that are still falling for this giveaway scams, they are stupid, ignorant and greedy which is a bad mixture when entering in something that involves money and then they end up getting scammed and then blaming crypto, it's a cycle.

People mostly new people hear about bitcoin for trading and not for anonymity reasons, but slowly most if not all get into gambling at some point in their life through gambling.
For reasons-
Its tax free and house edge is very low compared to real life casinos.

People, who think bitcoin is spreadsheet money always blame bitcoin when they are stolen because they shared their private key with someone online and ended up calling it a scam, and the reason being? "They don't know how private key works" and yes there are many more reasons they might end up getting scammed.
