quite surprised that there are still many people who are deceived by the fake giveaway program....even though there's been a lot of news about this kind of fake giveaway, the greedy and stupid ones are still there.

What can we do with this?? Only one things comes to my mind that I need to do when I see this and that is to "laugh".

Kinda weird that I need to laugh with the person that got scammed but that is what I feel whenever I see people scammed especially with this one who got scammed more than 1 BTC. You are holding a single Bitcoin and yet you don't know which are scam and which are not?? Ignorance at its highest level.

This is why you should learn and research more before you hold huge bags of coins whether it is Bitcoin or some other altcoins. Don't just throw your money out there without any information. Don't be like this investor who just gave more than 1 BTC to a scammer. For sure the scammer is very happy with that happened Cheesy.
right, many beginners are victims of scammers, they take advantage of their lack of knowledge to cheat. therefore asking for the opinion of friends who understand more is highly recommended so that we do not get caught up in this. knowledge requires a process of learning, and from this we can learn by finding answers from friends who understand better

It's not only about being greedy or stupid. I wouldn't blame these people, to be honest. They just didn't get enough education to sort the information they receive and make informed decisions. Also, judging from victim of other scams, these people are often desperate. I've recently watched a video about a popular Ponzi scheme in my country and people who invest in it. These people are usually pretty old (so they aren't very familiar with how the Internet works), giving away their pensions to the scammers in the hope of hoping their families. There are also people who are ill and need a lot of money for medical operations, and they are desperate to try anything that might help them get this money. It's very sad that the already vulnerable ones are losing what they have due to scams. And speaking of crypto scams specifically, it surely doesn't help to get confusion out of the way when there are mixed messages from various authorities and financial experts, as many say Bitcoin itself is a scam, a financial pyramid and whatnot.

I often see many advertisements about sending some amount of bitcoin and earn double the amount from them. Luckily, I never follow it and skip it right away because, at that time, I do not have many bitcoin. I only think that how it can be like that, I mean, how they can send the double amount to us while we do not do something.

I read many stories on the internet and my friends tell me that it is a scam and many of them lose their money by sending some amount to that giveaway. It is a simple trick that could always succeed to gain attention from people, especially new people, to join with their giveaways.

many say they are newbies but why do they have a lot of Bitcoin, did the newbie buy Bitcoin after reading the giveaway or is it the BTC they are saving. This is still a big question for me.

even so, we must always remind friends on social media not to easily believe in giveaways held by fake influential people.

Lack of experience and education on crypto is the main reason why there so many people getting caught on this trap. I fell so pity for those peoples who get scam with this kind of method. The most common things i see is many Scammers DM me on telegram they try to bait me and they say if i send 1 eth into this address then i will get 2 eth just in overnight, luckily I'm not that stupid to believe them.
I can't beleive people can still fall for this kind of fake giveaway trick it obvious inexperienced newbies will always be caught in this fraud due to their greediness how can someone ask me to to send some coins in exchange for double or triple offer? even disguising with Elon Musk's twitter account, this cannot be true it is a pure deceit and scam, it quite unfortunate that many had fallen victim of this cheap scam due to ignorance and social media had indeed contributed to this type of growing scam unfortunately it is always late before those scam post, videos and tweets are reported to the relevant authorities a lot of damages could have been done, before it is taken down or deleted. we have to extremely careful with social media promising fake giveaways and continue to enlighten newbies on dangers of falling for hacked account of highly influential figures twitters, telegram, Facebook etc by some fraudulent scammers.

I never trust this kind of events. It's obvious that it's not safe. Hackers captured even Elon Musk's Twitter account and swindled many people. Do not trust everyone!
You mean some twitter verified account got hacked and changed it's name to elon musk or any famous people. There are lots of the same incidents happened before. It just that many people are still ignorant for such obvious scheme, even though they knew it's a too good to be true offer but it just happens that they were more greedy and now this happens. It's just that people never learned.

Quote
On Wednesday (July 15), some major Twitter accounts including billionaire Bill Gates, rich man Musk, Silicon Valley giant Apple and Uber Uber were hacked. The purpose of this action is to deceive Twitter users to donate Bitcoin.

Hackers used celebrity Twitter accounts to post fraud messages, telling Twitter users that they had 30 minutes to send $1,000 (876 euros) in bitcoin donations and double the money.

The tweets on this series of celebrity accounts were subsequently deleted.

Cameron Winklevoss, the co-founder of the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange, tweeted from his official account: "This is a scam, don't participate!" He also said that other encrypted Twitter accounts were also hacked. , I want everyone to be vigilant.

This kind of situation is quite common. One is to use the credibility of celebrities, and the other is to use the greed of human nature. This is very hateful. This kind of behavior is naked fraud. If you don’t want to be deceived, there is only one way:

forget it, it's a pie in the sky

most of us are trapped and deceived by scammers, because of ourselves, we are too easy to believe in their sweet promises, we also want to get rich quick, even though without us knowing it the scammers have used us, if we are not smart and don't want to ask questions. people who are experienced in the field of bitcoin, most likely we will be easily exploited by scammers..

Unfortunately, someone will still fall for this kind of trap. Giveaway tactics are still famous online and due to an urge of having free money (which most likely scam), they wouldnt take the lesson without experiencing such fraud.

I remembeted being scammed too online but that makes me become more vigilant trusting something like this fake giveaway. And I was newbie that time, so probably those victims were just new and trying out the risk of thst giveaway.

In the past it was multiplier schemes. Crypto users were reached through different means with some multiplier scripts. Beginners easily fall for it, even I've fallen for it without researching much about it. By the time I spend around 0.05BTC on a single multiplier scam. Later only understood all the reviews on those sites were fake ones. From that day I never get into any form of attempt to increase our holdings, other than trading.
That's the price we pay for education. We pay it either through experience of through knowledge. I also had that nasty experience while starting up as a noob in this industry. It was greed that drove me to that supposed doubling sitel, thinking that we had Santa Claus in mid air. Till date, I still see people indulging such gestures. It's even appalling when you get to find out that someone repeatedly falls for such hogwash, believing that one day luck will shine on them. It's pure greed that makes anyone fall for these scams. Nobody throws money at you for no reason. There must be something or a task they tell you to do to earn. Again, why will anyone trying to better your lot ask you to send them something before they give out to you what they're promising you? It doesn't add up. The red flag is obvious but people choose not to look.

Bill Gates,Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk will double your Bitcoins,if you send them some BTC. Grin
It doesn't make any sense from a financial point of view, but what the hell....
Sounds like a great offer,if your IQ is under 60. Sad
Such scams are a tax on the stupid.Even if we keep raising awareness about the BTC giveaway scams, there will always be naive and greedy people, who will send their hard earned Bitcoins to the scammers address.

Those newbies are prone to this kind of scam because they thought bitcoin is a kind of giveaway that you only do little works and you will be given such freebies.

Well, most of the newbies aren't that dumb.Don't underestimate them.

Those newbies are prone to this kind of scam because they thought bitcoin is a kind of giveaway that you only do little works and you will be given such freebies. Well, it's doesn't work like that. easy money is a scam in this industry. everyone is working here and most of the time they've worked like 10hrs a day just to get that few satoshis in their first time engaging in the crypto industry without using any capitals. Those who are using their own money are working to get some real-time experience on crypto trading as well, so basically there's no free money here. everyone is simply working towards their own goals.

I feel bad for people who get taken advantage of by these scammers. Social media sites have to do better in stopping these scams from being advertised. I have reported fake accounts doing fake giveaways and it has taken days to have them removed from Twitter. I have reported them on Facebook and Facebook support says they are not breaking the rules. Unreal.

if we want to be successful and want to get a lot of money, of course we have to work hard, no one wants to give their wealth to us for free, a lot of fraud occurs because we are tempted by the sweet promises given by scammeers, but the end in the end we lose our hard work that we have collected for a long time,, before doing anything I always ask my close friend for advice who has been playing in bitcoin for a long time, all the advice he gives I always follow, and until now I am safe only, haven't been fooled by any scammer yet, thank you my friend for guiding me from scratch..

Since i came into this investment i think i smart enough to not fall into this kind of stupid like this. I still can't understand to the people who fall into this trap, they just too greedy if believe in something like this. There so many scammers right now and most of them want to scam us from telegram, so we just need to increase our knowledge and don't be greedy so we can't fall into stupid things like this.

Let those stupid Greed people be a  victim of these scammers so they will learn their Lessons.

Promises in Crypto investment is like Waiting for the Salt to be Tasteless in which will never happen.

Don't expect to earn when you don't even trying to learn what's the business you are investing really do because Victims fall from traps every single day.

Everyone is always greedy and thinks that what is given is enough, and newcomers to cryptocurrency don't know these, they don't know whether they are real. They don't know what to do. When they see those tweets, they will not have any doubts, and they will not do some research on their own. That's why they found out that they had been deceived after investing.

Usually they want more bitcoin than what they have today, well, at that time they tried to follow a giveaway event like this without being careful in doing so, I've often met this, even ever almost fooled, because I was asked to pay first.

I think a lot of people who would give money to scammers would never read this post, because they are complete beginners, people who bought coins because their friends did, know nothing about this field and have little experience with finance in general. I've seen stories like this when someone gets intro crypto, don't do any research, get scammed immediately and then blames their friends who introduced them.

True, but not only for newcomers, but also for those who already knew but tried their luck. When I first started in crypto, there were a lot of investment(Return of Investment) like for a week or for days that really could attract newbies that will invest but later on it turn to scam, a lot of this kind of ponzi happen way back few years because the newbies were not aware of this but now most everyone is aware of this so I haven't seen any right now regarding this, I was also scammed by this kind of ponzi
