You have 30,000 dollars in bitcoin, that's your hard earned money  but you choose to get into a giveaway that's suppose to payout to you,you go as far as paying them..just how does this qualify to be a giveaway? Let greed not take the best of you, temptations are high and everyone is looking for a quick buck.

In the world where the Internet is now developed, this kind of thing is normal. Not only in the encryption field, but in any profitable field, there are such scam gangs. What we can do is stay sensible, stay sensible in everything we do. Although the deceived people are a bit stupid, it is understandable that when they first entered the market, their level of knowledge in this area was not high, but they must have a sense of self-protection and safety.

This kind of scam is generally aimed at investors who are not proficient in the crypto field. They understand the sentiments of these investors and grasp the psychology of investors. Investors will not think that they have been scammed, and they will be unable to recover after the reaction. Especially on the Internet, filled with all kinds of scams, the most fundamental way is to enrich your knowledge and not to be blinded by greed.

ignore them coz that's how they work for a living and no one can stop them..as the matter of fact if you really aware in such event you will never jump in it because its very obvious. for me IMO much better to report it to assure they can't scam other people around the internet, it becomes very common way for them TBH especially here in the crypto world because of some people who don't have enough information when it comes to such way of scamming.

Usually the ones who are fooled are beginners. it's clear if there is a giveaway or event that asks for a wallet password, or asks for a transfer as a fee it's a huge scam and it's not worth participation for a lot of people
Not only beginners people, sometimes people who have been in the crypto world for a long time can also be tricked because they basically don't think smarter or do not research more carefully on that giveaway.
Well, it's good here we should remind each other of beginners and people who are crazy to giveaway.

quite surprised that there are still many people who are deceived by the fake giveaway program....even though there's been a lot of news about this kind of fake giveaway, the greedy and stupid ones are still there.
I am not surprised at all. There are too many people around the world, they have various educational backgrounds and may have a different understanding of scams. Also, some of the cases may be caused by the characteristics of the individual, one of the examples is "greedy", like you said above. Not only greedy, but some people can be also careless, so they can be deceived because not careful to read news and analyze the giveaways first.

All of these are possible to be the causes. Unfortunately, we have no power to stop it. There are too many people in the world, no chance to make every single of them be aware.

There would be no victim if no one would really believe on easy money or profits but since greed is already a normal part of human being in terms of emotion or intent or behavior
then this cycle would continue on where there are people who would really get scammed due to lack of knowledge and having those kind of things in mind believing about
easy money.People who would experienced scams would turn out to be experienced ones but we know that this market will have that continous flow of newbies
that do easily get hooked up with a simple ponzi or hyip scheme which had been continuing through ages.

Fraud in crypto is taken in many ways, from GA via twitter, facebook, telegram though, if we are not careful we will be trapped, not only new players I think old players too if you are not lucky will be exposed to fraud with giveaway
And that is why we need to make a search before participating in giveaways. Mostly, newcomers had fallen into this trick and then wondering and ask why they lose their Bitcoin after joining? Now, this thing is common to hear, unlike before where many giveaways are legit
What I could suggest is to ignore or never ever participate in this thing. It was hopeless to think about free, doubling your money, you will receive xxx...this is all lies and we don't have to compromise ourselves into this.

It is easy to determine whether certain event or project is a scam nowadays. Usually, they offer promises that are too good to be true. Nevertheless, we should not still be too complacent about the stupidity of the scammers. There are still some who can manipulate you and deceive you up until they are able to steal your money. Regardless of how shallow and how scams can easily be known, the best way to avoid sudden loss of huge amount of money is through not trusting anyone right away. Scams are still evident in the market and we should always take extra precaution over it.

All kinds of methods are used by scammers to trap their victims. Even beginners or professionals sometimes still fall into the trap of scammers. But the beginners do dominate and become the main target of scammers. They use new or old methods such as holding giveaways with bitcoin prizes and some fake emails to trick their victims. Nowadays, what is happening more and more often is fraud via telegram, because many scammers give private messages asking for help, giving giveaways, pretending to be admins of a project and others. it is certain that all of this was done by scammers. Never give access to private wallets or click on links that scammers provide. Because they usually provide phishing links, malware and the like. Must stay alert.

Most of the victims of these scams are newbies, those who lack knowledge, don't learn when entering the market, those who want to get rich quickly will all become targets of those scams.

a lot of newbies are still exposed to this kind of trick, and no one can be blamed for it all because they are too rash to follow something.
I think this will continue to happen until whenever there will always be because greed makes everyone forget about honesty and in bitcoin not everyone does the right thing there are a few people who collect their assets by means of deception and hackers.
this is of course unsettling but we can do nothing about it other than secure our assets and tell those around us not to fall into this kind of trick.

For those who believe in the instant rich schemes, instant karma would happen to them.

Nobody wants to give their money to scammers in the first place but somehow, people are getting crazy when hearing x2 profit from your investment every day, every week, that is certainly attractive and a lot of people just fall into this trap. I do believe that we are all aware of this but this problem remains and I don't know how these people will learn from this trick.

There is the straight up scammers and then there is the scammers trying to scam the already scammed by offering all kinds of "crypto recovery services" --this is the highest quality crypto forum and I don't see many of these posts here, but there are so many "lost or stolen coin recovery" ads all over almost every other crypto-related forum out there.

Blockchain by nature (immutability) makes the space prone to scams.

It's hard to believe that there are still people who think they can double their crypto with such a fake giveaway and in this greed, they also send such a huge amount of BTC to scammers.

Advice For Newbies
Scammers lure you with huge sums of money whether it is a giveaway or a Ponzi scheme where you are promised weekly/monthly profits. stay away else your ending will be the same as this person who sent 1.16 BTC

Obviously no one is going to do that, the problem is that these so called "scammers" are making sure that they aren't threatening so they do a social engineering attack so the people that they target lowers their guard so they can do it. I think that the real problem is that people don't look out for signs that they are interacting with a scammer rather than the transaction because by that time, you are already defeated.

I've happened and experienced something like this even though it's not bitcoin but another crypto by sending a private message in my email stating I got a gift from the assets I own.. after that I tried to claim but at that time I unconsciously gave itmy personal data and directly without waiting for the day the assets I have started to be stolen one by one..
therefore my advice we must be careful of suspicious things..
Yes, it seems that used to often use email to do this, maybe now still do. but  just like you, I just experienced it on telegram by wanting to help solve the problem of what is my right by providing a link to connect with my metamask. without me realizing it I believed by not looking at the telegram address first whether they were administrators.
finally all when they got the direct link, it didn't take long for all the coins to change hands.

but this is an experience that will leave an impression on us, we don't always believe in anything that seems to want to help because behind that help something will happen that we don't want, let this experience make me more careful too.
