I wouldn't say that I would never gamble again if I win a life-changing amount of money from gambling but one thing is for sure, I won't lose it all back to gambling and most probably will start a business and try and set my life the way I always wanted it to be, and I might gamble for fun sometimes from the revenue that my business will earn me not to win but just to remember the good old days that changed my life.

What I said is something an addicted gambler can't do, only a responsible gambler can take a decision like that and I know that I'm a responsible gambler because I've never lost any money that I needed in my life to gambling because I know it is not worth it.

We're all different.

Winning big amount adds more confidence to a gambler and when you say "confident" that makes you forget your standing and how much you've got. And it won't matter to you to lose all of those winnings because you've just won it.

And when a gambler wins a big amount, there's no rule unless we make rules to ourselves that we shouldn't comeback to gambling. But another question will come out, are we gonna obey our own rules?

I can withdraw but not quit.
Recently, I have withdrawn $50 which is a win from a $2 capital. I don't even know how I am so patient enough to bet for just small amounts and not get greedy to take a big bet and risk more. I won it slowly, it took me like 12 hours of playing Crash Originals on Stake.com. I hit one x200 in my last bet and then I went out. Never came back for like 2 days and just enjoyed the money that I won. Brought the kids to their favorite playground (paid playground) where they could mingle with other kids, then we eat dinner at our favorite restaurant and just enjoyed the night.
Now, I am trying to repeat what I did but it's getting harder to do it. I guess the greed is starting to take over and I want fast money unlike how I patiently did it before.
It's not easy to quit gambling, it's a hobby for mostly those who work from home, like me. But if my wife will tell me to stop it then I will. It's not like I am addicted to it.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
Well this is hard because you already win huge. The thought that you can win again will always hunt your mind since you already experience it. But I think it depends if that's your only goal, quitting is easy for gamblers who are already contented with their profit. But for gamblers who are hopeful to win once again that's not possible to quit even after winning a life changing amount.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.
Yes. That's the right thing to do actually. Never returning back is a wise decision to prevent losing the money you won. But it's easy to said than done, so again, it depends on the gambler. Smart gamblers knows what's the best thing to do in situation like this.

Apart from gambling, once you start doing something for a long period of time, it ends up becoming a part of you, that's the case with things we do, they don't have to be money oriented, if you don't like drinking out and you have new friends that likes drinking out, once you start following them around you will become a part of them and you will always start drinking, it's same with smoking, stealing and lying.

Every habits we introduce ourselves into becomes a part of us and to put an end to them will look like a war that can never be won because we are addicted.

I have to make a certain amount of money before I can think about using some part to gamble, those extra incomes must be earned first, if I used to make 150$ per month and I make 170$ with the extra 20$ coming from another source then that's my gambling money for the week, this is who I am.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

That is impossible to quit gambling after winning a life changing amount. Because of humans greed, that life changing amount will be a motivation to continue gambling. I think almost everyone, that has won a huge amount, withdraw some decent amount and continue gambling with the rest of the money, and place bigger bets.

Nearly impossible to quit gambling. If you win, you are motivated to continue, if you lose, you return to win back or return to play with smaller bets.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

Gambling is not an addiction to me neither is it a side hustle. I do it for fun, to pass time. If I win a huge amount of money from gambling, I will still keep gambling responsibly. Nothing changes.

Anyone who has been gambling responsibly would have no issues with this. You already have a gambling plan and strategy. You have a budget. Stick to it. It is only an indiscipline and inexperienced player that would make the decision put back all the money they won into gambling because they think they will make bigger win.

Yes, many years ago when first started gambling without a plan, direction or strategy.

Yes, I still gamble. I do it for fun and for entertainment. Just betting on the UCL finals. Was just for fun. By the way, I lost .Grin

We can termed gambling the name we preferred it's been called as long as that's our own personal definition to gambling and also that we are gambling the right and appropriate way such that it's not affecting any area of our life, you will find to discover some kind of gamblers along the line that will be so amazing to you because of the way the handle their own gambling as a lifestyle, some can also be weird at it, which means, we can get it enough having diverse approach to gambling from the people across the world, but most of these things are not that easy to achieve in gambling but some comes in a natural way or means whereby we have every reason to either continue with gambling or put a stop.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
Yeah, possible. But the trick there is you might think that you've won easy money so whether you're set for life, you may come back anytime as you wish and make that again. And for someone who's determined to quit, very possible.

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.
This is normal because the mindset is there of winning it back, easily.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.
Yes, there's no issue with that and that's why we're all free to do whatever we want. If we win big time then it's up to us if we'll look back and gamble again and lose the profit we've made or just keep it safe and never come back.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?
Not so big but every time I do, I make sure that it won't be taken back by the house.  Grin

I participate in gambling but have never made myself addicted to it. I can remove myself from this gambling platform at any time. Because I didn't get myself addicted to gambling platforms. People who make their lives addicted to gambling platforms can never quit. I have not won any big money from gambling platform. The reason is that I never spend large amounts of money on gambling platforms. I always use the amount of money I can control myself to lose on gambling platforms. I have gambled many times and won some bets and lost most bets.

for me money that is easily obtained will run out very easily.
I mean when someone gambles and gets a big win from gambling, surely the money will also run out faster because the natural mindset appears to accidentally think that I still have a lot of money and tomorrow I will definitely get another win.
with this mindset, surely he will always quickly spend his money to gamble again or sleep in hotels with women having fun without thinking that luck from gambling will not come every day.
if that happened to me i would withdraw the money 70% and i give it to my wife and kids and the rest to gamble again.

so there is no other reason to gamble because I gamble only for entertainment and if I get a win I consider it just a bonus that I need to enjoy instead of spending more on gambling.

100%. Gambling has never been an activity that overstayed in my mind, it's an activity that comes up every now and then and makes me go "well, why not". If the condition for winning it big is to forget about it afterwards then I can live with that (which is obviously not the case sadly)

I'd say it's fine for them to stay even with a big win. You do you man, and I reckon others should respect it like that. As for me coming back after a big win, gotta get that pre requisite first before anything else.

The first thing is to stop gambling and look for a better way to invest my money after making a huge winning. There's this happiness that comes after winning huge amount of money to people if they aren't able to control their state of mind and, know one thing about money as it often bring happiness and whenever you are happy, you don't go the right way in making decisions all less you are emotionally stable. Quitting gambling sometimes might be very difficult to people who strongly believes in gambling theorem because they often believed that quitting gambling might even brings more failure to them were as most of them thinks they are miss luck by not keep gambling.

So far I haven't won a life changing amount in gambling. Maybe one day I will manage to hit a huge jackpot and make up for my previous losses. The chance of that happening is unfortunately very slim and most of us average gamblers are not going to be so lucky. But if we don't play our chance would be 0, we need to keep trying to eventually make it. The question if I would still gamble after such a high win would I answer with yes. Gambling is a form of entertainment and just because I won a lot of money doesn't mean I will change my life completely. What I wouldn't do however is to use all my winnings to keep on gambling. Why should anybody bet large amounts after already winning life changing money? You already succeeded in gambling and don't need to try to do it again. The best approach for me would be to take my huge winnings and invest it in crypto currencies and buy an apartment from it that generates regular rental income for me. A huge win shouldn't change our gambling habits, we can still keep on playing and only bet our previous smaller amounts. Sticking to our old routine ensures that we won't be losing everything that we won before and still can enjoy the entertainment of regular gambling.

If they have made their profits through gambling, it is very difficult for them to quit gambling. Very few people can actually do this. Because the time it takes to gamble until you win creates a habit in people. You cannot quit this habit easily.

If you have a high income from gambling and cannot quit, reduce the amount you play. Now start playing for fun. Because there is a big difference between playing to win and playing for fun.

In theory a person should be able to win a high amount of money and still gamble without any issues, but people are not that logical on the way they act and they carry themselves, when a person makes a lot of money through gambling they begin to increase their expenses by buying expensive cars, houses and all kind of trinkets they do not need, and this also happens with their gambling, as if on the past they were happy to make a one dollar bet now they want to make a one thousand dollar bets at minimum, and since their win was a one time thing and not something which can be gotten over and over again, their wealth will keep diminishing until they lose it all.

Gambling is a science that are developed to pull you back, when you win large amounts of money. Let's quickly look at what happens when you win large amounts of money and how it affects your brain. The moment when you hit the large Jackpot or the large Sport bet, your brain release the "feel good" chemical called, Dopamine.

Dopamine influences your mood and feelings of reward and motivation, so people constantly want that reward. Gambling give you "small" wins over a long period... and it makes you addicted to that chemical and when you win big, it floods your brain with large amounts of Dopamine. (Once you get a taste for that mad rush of Dopamine, you will come back time and time again.... searching for a repeat of that experience and that sensation)  Roll Eyes

In this case I prefer to be realistic. The winning conditions that have been obtained and stopped are something that is difficult to do and sometimes almost all fail in this regard.
But indeed in other cases as long as it becomes an advantage then it should really go quickly is the best step it's just that things like this are hard to leave and I feel that way Grin
As for gambling, I won't torture myself too much because indeed I am already here and at least I will still do that, regardless of losing or winning, I don't have a problem, the important thing is that my needs are resolved and it doesn't interfere with my financial condition from elsewhere because in terms of this is my principle every week or month I always set aside a little of my income if it wins then I can gamble longer but if it loses then already have to wait for the next period.

You already have your answers from the people near you. A gambler will always go back to the place where they made some money. No matter if this is something life changing or just a pocket change. At the end the house wins.

I know people who buy lotteries for years and once or twice they won few thousands and they are happy with it. But if they sum the total they spent all the years, then the winning is just peanut.

I have been in the gambling industry long enough to get a number of wins which I think are quite big, but somehow all these wins have disappeared intangible.
That's what happen eventually. The day I gamble, I feel less productive. All focus are on the bet slips, the match I gamble. End of the day when I lose my deposit I find, I lost both cash and time. With the lost time I could work in a new project or an existing project to make it better.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I don't see anything wrong with doing the things that helped you change your life as long as you are a responsible gambler and you only allocate a portion for your bets, I read stories of people hitting the jackpot in a lottery but still betting just for the memory, they know that winning a huge jackpot is rare and should not be chased or force yourself to win again.

It can be wrong if you think that you can repeat that big win and chase it again and again. And I also doubt that you will become a responsible gambler once you taste that big win and on the contrary you might can back for more.

So it's a very hard decision to make here, unless you have taken control of yourself. Or if there is someone that advises you to just stick with your winnings and then re-invest and don't go back to gambling again.
