Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?

      -   First of all, I have never experienced winning a large amount of money in gambling. Also, I rarely play gambling to be honest. But if I ever experience winning a large amount in gambling, I will not gamble anymore and I will focus on building a business with half of my gambling winnings so that at least my winnings will not go to waste.

In this way, if I allocate my winnings to my business, for sure it will produce a profit for me so that it is not just going out but it is also replenished because of the business that I have built and I will also put money in the stock market and in cryto trading too of course.

Ohh yes, I've been an addict before and I've experienced a downfall. Now I can consider myself as a normal gambler that can control myself and is pretty organized in using my funds. I follow my budget strictly and I can stop playing anytime I want now, in-short, I'm not an addict anymore. If I won money that can change my life and could possibly make me comfortable for the rest of my life, I would probably stop doing gambling since I've been doing it for years now and there are games that I like so much before that it makes me boring now.

There will be people who won't or can't quit gambling since they haven't experienced it to the fullest but me, I've already been there and I don't want to waste the chance of quitting.

This is such a good read. I'm so glad that you were able to surpass that challenging part of your life because being addicted in gambling and in any other thing is tough. This is because you will be dependent on it and instead of you controlling your urge to gamble, it will be the other way around. Which could result to a bad outcome that could eventually harm you in the long run. It's not really a good thing to be addicted in gambling because it could exhaust you your time and resources. It's a good thing that you managed to recover from your gambling addiction since it is a serious matter that needs to be addressed.

Hopefully, you won't stumble again in the future. And I really do hope that you will be able to continue that good gambling habit of yours which includes budgeting strictly and being organized in your finances because that could help you so much in refraining to be addicted again.

I think, for people who get a big profit from gambling, but a addict will be very difficult, even though he has promised himself before not doing gambling again when he wins big, but he will come again when the money has begun to thin out, and Returning the remaining money in his wallet.
Maybe even using a bigger margin to do gambling, because it has the hope of winning a higher profit than before.

Of course you can say that, but that is their respective rights.
I once got a big victory in my gambling, I had stopped a few months, but three months I returned again, and to this day I am still looking for pleasure in gambling, but the gambling that I did was more controlled and did not have the nature of addicted as before.
I think I feel wise and mature enough in gambling.

Quit gambling? How possible is that because even though I make huge or the highest amount of money ever in my life, I will never quit gambling because this had become and interesting part of my existence. Gambling is a way of.life and we ought to understand that people will keep participate in gambling as far as possible.
You describe yourself, as if gambling is a must in your life, I cannot comment more about those of you who have such thoughts and habits, like gambling is a staple food in life.
Know that kind of trait is not a good thing for your financial health, but what can be made, it seems that you have different thoughts, it should be remembered that gambling is a color of life is not a way of life.

Did you just wrote that gambling is the way of life? Can you show me how many times you have make good amount of money with gambling and your winnings have exceeded your losses?

I don't believe your comment, even those who are addicted to gambling keep losing and they don't know how to stop, once you get addicted it will be tough to stop because you have so much expectations from gambling.

When something keeps ruining your life and the only way as an addict is to keep playing and waiting for a fantasy life changing moment.

Do not make gambling your way of life or you will end up not having one, instead, you should be strict with yourself and learn how to control your urge.

It's not easy to quit gambling. Most people who gambled at a time become addicted to gambling. When we win something big, we get excited and believe we can win more from gambling. Eventually, we lose them because there is a saying House always wins in the long run. So, The ideal thing is; when you win a good amount from gambling. But something you need and spend the entire money on. This can work for someone. But, if you are too addicted, you will sell your assets and gamble them. Even if we lose a good amount, we always try to put more money in and try to recover. Sometimes we recover but most of the time we end up breaking ourselves.

if you are in the addicted state, quitting is absolutely hard to do. but if you are just like a casual gambler, quite easy to quit. so quitting in this game depends on the level of your addiction or attachment to this industry. if you still have the total control of yourself, knowing why you are still playing, you can easily contain yourself. however, if the addiction is already in the advance state where you feel you are already too deep to get out, this i guess, you need a professional intervention to change your lifestyle. because you alone, won't make it. you are already in the stage of self-destruction and you feel hopeless for your situation. if you can still identify what level you are in, you may know what kind of help you need to escape from your situation.

It is hard quitting gambling completely even after hitting a major jackpot. The years it took a gambler to make a big win have already made gambling part and parcel of that gambler, it might not necessarily be addiction but a gambling fanatsy. For me i can't say until i have gotten to that stage where I hit a major win then I will watch my emotions and reaction after wards but it is better to take a break after then plan the money for a lucrative business then return back when the emotion is stable

For gambling addicted ones, they can't leave gambling the matter what. But for passerby gamblers like us can leave gambling for good and they will never return back to gambling again. For the passerby gamblers, gambling is a decision while for the addicted ones, gambling is a hobby which they can't do without.
I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.
as it is said, definitely they would go back again because all their mind is to win more money add it to the ones they have won.

Even though they are going back they should not used all the money that they have won in the previous games. They should divide the money into 10% and use only 1% for replay and use the remaining amount to invest on other platforms which can bring money to his pocket every day.

it's possible to get out, but for me, it will be difficult to get out of gambling. even though I'm not a gambler with big funds, I might be able to say it's routine to play now. I have my own allocation to play every week.
those who do more lose their money in the casino, because they don't have good control in the game. it makes deposits to casino accounts uncontrollable and it can eat up everything.
but I have a friend who really quit gambling when he found his right life partner. As far as I know, his personality got better and he never gambled again.

What amount is life changing? I guess it depends on who you are asking since each of us have our own lifestyle and ways of handling money. The amount won by those near you doesn't seem to be enough to change their lives entirely since they are at it again.

I don't think I would ever get that amount through sportsbetting but maybe in lottery? I would probably stopped buying a single ticket if I happen to win the jackpot.

I can safely say I can I'm not a gambling addict and have controlled myself on not chasing my losses anymore but why would I, if I only want entertainment I'll go back and allocate money

These are the people who believe that they are lucky and they can repeat their luck and win a jackpot again, winning big money has a huge attraction to keep coming back.

It takes full control not to play again and try to win a jackpot, few gamblers are satisfied with their winning they keep coming back for more.

Yes, and I regret that I failed to stop myself from coming back to try to win more and because of that I lose everything, it's a wake-up call to take control of my action or I will repeat this over and over again.

You know that there's a way one can be in a particular situation and will be left with nothing than to quit, by then he himself will want nothing than to see himself quitting due to the situation of things around which would have warrant for doing so, bit as a sensitive person who is always conscious of his steps and decisions taken , must we sit amd watch ourselves getting to this inevitable stage before making a true decision, to me it's not about quitting or continuing in gambling, it's about what we want and and seing ourselves at the topmost of our ambition and interest in gambling.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
If this is a question that must be answered, of course I have to answer differently from other people, because we are here to gamble with different goals, Of course I can stop gambling and I never use money win bets in my life, if indeed I always spend drinking to, eating with friends and having fun, can't change my life gambling money.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money?
Back they bet, it's not a ban and a problem for those who want to bet again, I think all of us here who are involved in gambling are adults, as well as their thoughts, the decision is in each of them, even though the wins are many.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?
Indeed a lot maybe often, loses too often, after winning a few survive, but from winning half of that earlier the winning money is withdrawn, half is at stake again, but often unlucky, of course until now gambling.

The thing is that gambling is not all about the money even though some take gambling as a mean of survival but others don't see it that way because the fun and time passage is what motivate a lot of us here and if everything being equal then we may be able to do without the money or winning if we have some bulk to cash fun with.

But if I should win a lot of money in a jackpot, I will reduce the time of my gaming and how I chass winning,.

Personally I've never won a lot of money at gambling because I always spend a few dollars and lose on weekends when playing some casino games, I'm just a little gambler so it's okay for that even I gamble only on weekends not every day because I a worker who has to focus more on my work in every working day.

But I once had a friend who told me that he had won big money, then he used the winnings to go on vacation, then after some time he came back to the casino before, finally he lost, but not completely because he knew that if he continued playing it would be all over. previous winning money, finally he is looking for another casino for good luck elsewhere, he said luck will not come a second time at the casino, in fact he will not stop gambling

~snip~
^ Not quitting but I think it is good to take a break, take a vacation for a week, that sounds interesting.
But unfortunately, I did not experience this, on my own, it is possible for someone to quit gambling after making a life-changing amount of money, but it can be challenging. Gambling addiction is a common issue, and winning a large sum does not necessarily guarantee the ability to quit. Many individuals who have experienced success in gambling often find it difficult to resist the urge to gamble again, leading to potential losses. The reason I did not experience this is because I gamble for fun not for making money.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
I haven't had such luck to win such amount of money that could be referred to as life changing amount for me yet, but if I am luck enough to win such money then quiting gambling and replacing it with a business is the goal.
Quote

You shouldn't be surprised seeing such people still going back to continuous gambling despite winning such life changing amount. But then I asked, what was the main aim of them gambling? Cause I thought we all gamble to by luck be able to win an amount of money that could change our lives and never for we to have to go back to the gambling again. But I recently realized it's not same for some people.

Sometime in 2019 I had a gambling mate that won an amount of money at around 7.4million in our local currency  but ended up lavishing and squandering the money that could have been a live changing money for him being in his late 20s. A apart of that squandering was exhausted in gambling with the hope that he was going to hit a high win of which he started increasing in wager 3x than normal. Today he's looking like someone that has never gotten a thousand to his name before.

From his actions I gain a little experience and I also observed that what causes people to still head on to gambling after winning a life changing amount of cash is because that never had a business or project plan on ground of what and how they would use any life changing amount of money they may be lucky to win in their gambling endeavors. Hence, their spending does lack direction and purpose.

I have managed to win good amount of money but not what I could refer to as high amount. And in every amount of money I win from gambling I always use a good proportion of the total amount to get myself a good property or invest it into my business, while I use the rest to try again...

Of course, you can. Everything is a choice.

When you earn money fast and it makes you feel you don't deserve it, you will self-sabotage and give the money back by losing it all again.

It just depends on how and where you put your money after winning. Say you put it on a business, and you're really dedicated to work that out. Tendencies are you won't get back to gambling again. But if you put the same mindset on your gambling practice into a business, you will fail. Because business is not easy money. So if your business fail and you still have that thinking of easy money, you will get back gambling.

Actually, this has been my idea for quite some time, but I have yet to implement it. I've even reduced my target amount. Although I did not deposit with my own money, if it weren't for gambling, my current life condition might be better. Before, I was able to earn 0.5 bitcoin in less than a week and, most of the time, 0.1 bitcoin per week for how many years. Maybe that's why I got stuck in gambling because beginner's luck makes me feel safe and that I can do it again. Which makes me worse.

There is a famous quote by Socrates: “He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.”

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.

The greed takes over and a Gambler who made it big would again go back to give it a shot. In the end, losing everything that was won previously. If in case the gambler wins again then the greed would again force him to try his luck. It is just like a time loop, you repeat it you fail and you again try.
