It is difficult to quit gambling because it is very addictive, when you are into gambling what comes into your mind even though you are always losing is you will win one day and this gives you hope to always continue to indulge in the act so to me I will say that it take a very discipline person to quit.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?

I personally feel that if anyone has ever been addicted to gambling, whether that's currently or in the past, should never gamble again.  I think it's often times too difficult for people whom have had troubles with excessive gambling, to just try and limit themselves going forward, instead of not doing so at all.  It's like drug addicts, the vast majority who've had a drug problem, quit, and then try coming back to do just "a little bit", often go back to going fully in again..it's just too hard to limit for most people.

Thankfully I don't have this issue, so the more I make in my job, the more I'm likely to gamble (always within reason).

Quit gambling? How possible is that because even though I make huge or the highest amount of money ever in my life, I will never quit gambling because this had become and interesting part of my existence. Gambling is a way of.life and we ought to understand that people will keep participate in gambling as far as possible.
when you experience a lot of Lost in gambling nobody will tell you to quit from gambling people who tell that they cannot delete or they cannot stop gambling is people who never lose a huge amount of money when you try to look your money and you will sell your properties to play gambling then you make a loss in that gambling nobody will tell you to stop gambling so that is my own understanding in gambling I cannot even encourage people who is living around me to take a gambling as a major priority

I'm not officially into gambling anyways but I think it's not wise to go back when you've gotten already enough...what do you term as that?? Isn't that pride?? You always know that each time you try to go back to get more, you lose everything in the process so why do you even bother??
It's very easy when you pull your mind out of it.... once you're not able to do that, it becomes a problem cus - like it or not, you'll still fall back to gambling away those funds. Everything is possible when the mind is set to make way through - firstly, you have to understand that every other winnings isn't yours anymore.... Kill any motivation of greed in the nearest possible means and move on in Real-life investments.

As a responsible gambler, it is vital that you recognize the point at which "enough" has been achieved, as well as being satisfied with the winnings you have received. Having self-control and the ability to separate the enjoyment aspect of gambling from the desire to make excessive profits is key to the success of this game.

In order to change the way people view gambling, it can be helpful to understand that the outcomes of gambling are mostly determined by luck and that the odds are generally stacked against the player. You need to keep in mind that each gambling session is independent of previous ones and that past success does not guarantee success in future sessions.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
Some people will say they are going to quit gambling whenever they make a life changing money from gambling, but to be serious it’s easier said than done, I can’t really say if am going to stop gambling or not, but the only thing am confident of and I can promise myself is that am going to reduce gambling drastically but I won’t quit completely. Don’t be surprise that some people are still going to lose most of the money to gambling, they will increase the way they do bet and the amount they bet with will cause great damage.

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.
When you are gambling, you should always know when to quit, their are some certain time you should know that you just have to stop, addicted gamblers don’t get satisfy by what they win, they believe if they gamble with the amount they win, they will be able to double it which in the process of doing that, they are going to lose everything they won previously.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.
If an addicted gambler win high amount of money, then I will recommend that the person shouldn’t go back to gambling, because am sure he is going to waste all the money in gambling again, but if you are not addicted, then I won’t stop you because am sure you will be able to control yourself.

How i wish that i would be able to win up huge money with gambling because i do know that i could really quit up easily and made out that kind of good decisions on which i know that i could really take a good use of those amounts although its not really something that we could really fixed up those words because it cant really be that avoided that you would really be greedy on this time. This is the thing that happened into your friends or known person who do win up gambling big time is on which they would really be thinking on playing up more just because they do really think that they could really be able to win up
more and thinking that they could really make them rich and since they do already have the capital, then it would really be just that normal that they would really be thinking up this way.

Easy or hard, then it would really be just depending on someones perception in life and the decisions that they would really be making. We do have different mindsets and different beliefs on which
some would really be that confident that they might be still lucky and there are ones who would really get hindered because they have known the risks involved in gambling.

I really don't need to quit because i have planned my budget so that i won't be using but fraction of it to gambing anyway. If i win big i won't be gambling my winnings but keep my budget tied to the income from work minus expenses i have. My budget changes if electricity costs too much or if i have medical or what ever unforeseen bills that needs paying.

I am gambling because it's a fun past time, if i had a problem with it i might think of quitting after a big win. However after a big win it would be hard for anyone gambling for big wins. That would just wire your brain to think you can definitely win that again. And while you could, it would be as hard as ever as odds would stay the same.

Grin c'mon man, just as much as I want to say that there is a possibility to this happening but the hard truth is that there is no way this can be possible. I mean its just  not possible to quit gambling after experiencing a huge win but I guess many people will feel that its actually quiet possible but I say NOT possible at all. Because the moment you experience those huge win that's when the mind to gamble more will come and the funny part is that your stake will most likely increase

It really comes down to the individual and their life circumstances in my opinion. Somebody that is relatively stable with a decent plan for their future is less likely to fall into the trap of long term and damaging gambling behavior, because they will tend to identify the problem earlier on. Education is also imperative in making informed decisions when it comes to betting. Knowing how the odds are stacked against you in different games is key to never envisaging that they will provide a shortcut to wealth. With all that in mind, somebody in a stable environment is less likely to take long shots or engage in other wasteful activities, because they will generally get more joy from spending that money elsewhere - so they might make one bet and quit.

It all depends on the person and his ability to control his mind. When one wins jackpot with which one can have life changing moment as well lead his rest of life will surely allocate certain amount for his future gambling need. If he lost the allocated amount, surely he'll take from the rest of the winning and gamble. This is the reality and myself too experienced it not on winning jackpots, but on winning small amounts that are really big to me. It is really hard to quit, once we've got used to it. Over time the learning will make him take a decision and get fixed to it.

It'll be easy to quit gambling if I have a huge amount of money stashed somewhere. That will allow me to do whatever the hell I want and preoccupy myself with something else that is more worthwhile. I'll be able to focus more on my actual hobbies, and spend less time working which will allow me to free up a huge portion of my time and just enjoy life. Gambling is just something that I'm doing to kill time and not feel bored because other hobbies that I'm looking to enter are just too expensive or uneconomical, compared to what I earn and what my time allows.

Gambling is not hard to quit so we need to make sure that as we are making money, we need to make we try as much to help ourselves aso when things get wrong we can pursuit the problem and fix it as soon as possible. Gambling is very very hard to quit because there is a spirit behind it that used to tell us to keep gambling for us to make more money as a gambler.

Ironically, if you want have my opinion, I would say that it gets harder and harder to quit gambling while ones continue to partake on it. It gets more difficult if one has had the chance to actually profit out of it, so eventually those profits will likely go back to the safes of the casino.

We human beings are quite much controlled by our perception of reward and risk, once the reward hits on the right spot of our brain and we get a good taste of dopamine, It is safe to say one gets hooked up to to gambling.

All it is fine as long as one is aware of what is risking and can control it

It is a great truth that when a person is lucky enough to win the top prize, which in this case would be the million dollar jackpot, that person needs to sit down and start thinking a lot about his life, he has to put 2 things in his head: first thing is that you cannot go back to playing with the intention that you will win a lot of money again, that is if you played the lottery then you should give up forever, if you played any casino games that depend on luck or poker or some other card game then you should stop to put a lot of money and start playing just for fun; the second thing is that this person will need to put all the money in long-term investments, but they must separate the investments

this person will also need to live without excessive spending, because the tendency of people who earn a lot of money with gambling is that they become very poor again because they start spending a lot to the point of not having anything else, unfortunately some people have a wrong way of thinking that consists of: if I was poor before and I didn't die, then going back to being poor I won't die. in my case, obviously, it would stop for a long time until I managed to manage the money well in the investments that I would make and one day I could play for fun

but it's very sad to see people who won millions of dollars becoming poor again, I've seen many stories of this type on TV and it's very sad, there was a guy who won many millions of dollars in the lottery and the guy went to live in a luxury hotel for 5 years ago he just left there bankrupt and straight to the street where he lived, it's hard to believe that he didn't buy at least one house for him to live in. quitting gambling depends on each person's willpower

Millionaires and billionaires never stop "gambling". It's a race to be richer/ the richest

The more money you have the less you care about losses. As a rich guy you start having more fun because there's no stress like when you're poor and this money is important to you.

I've never won a life changing amount but I know this feeling of being comfortable with money and gambling freely because I made a lot of "free" money from airdrops. I had my bitcoin and we had all these forks like BCH, BSV and so on and I treated this like money from heaven, I didn't care, so when I knew I've made $50k from an airdrop, betting 5k and losing was like nothing.

I'm pretty sure that if I won a few million, I'd still come back to gamble. I'd set aside 20% and have fun with the rest.

Gambling is like every other addiction, it is very easy to start but highly difficult to withdraw from it if deeply addicted so in general quitting is not an easy thing to do, you can see that from the various cases of gambling addictions that we have treated before, whenever the individual wants to quit, he or she is always pushed back to gambling again and again and that becomes a tough case at almost every time.

Take gambling as just a means of having fun and anything outside that is highly advised against to avoid battling to quit.

It's not easy to quit gambling. Most people who gambled at a time become addicted to gambling. When we win something big, we get excited and believe we can win more from gambling. Eventually, we lose them because there is a saying House always wins in the long run. So, The ideal thing is; when you win a good amount from gambling. But something you need and spend the entire money on. This can work for someone. But, if you are too addicted, you will sell your assets and gamble them. Even if we lose a good amount, we always try to put more money in and try to recover. Sometimes we recover but most of the time we end up breaking ourselves.

if you are in the addicted state, quitting is absolutely hard to do. but if you are just like a casual gambler, quite easy to quit. so quitting in this game depends on the level of your addiction or attachment to this industry. if you still have the total control of yourself, knowing why you are still playing, you can easily contain yourself. however, if the addiction is already in the advance state where you feel you are already too deep to get out, this i guess, you need a professional intervention to change your lifestyle. because you alone, won't make it. you are already in the stage of self-destruction and you feel hopeless for your situation. if you can still identify what level you are in, you may know what kind of help you need to escape from your situation.
Someone who is addicted to gambling, the help of others is one way to at least hold on to being able to control themselves. An addict usually does not let others know that he is an addicted gambler, that is a big problem. If we are at that point, we should start trying to open ourselves up to tell stories to people we trust at least. Let them know that you are an addict at the point where you can't stop yourself. I'm sure the people we trust will help us to at least reduce us to gambling. But once again, we must open up and tell what we have experienced so far.

Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I guess the answer to this question varies per person on the reason on why they gamble in the first place. Some might answer yes; if their purpose is purely for profit; while others may say no, if their purpose is for entertainment.

Quote

I mean, it is fine to have that kind of perspective but this limits the scope on why people gamble in the first place.

For example, lots of celebrities gamble despite them being successful and having boatloads of cash at their disposal. You may ask why- maybe because they like the feeling of the adrenaline kicking, etc.

Unfortunately, majority of the money that I have won in gambling is recycled into other games in which I ultimately lost them. Looking back, I really hoped that I stopped and used my money in a much meaningful purpose rather than having to succumb to this endless cycle of winning-betting-losing-betting.

Yes for sure, It was just a matter of discipline or probably you could put focus on other things and priorities, to avoid gambling.

I mean for me that's the best thing to do if you win gambling you should stop at that time because if you win you tend to continue gambling and that could easily get you greedy and might end up losing all of your money in the end. If I win a big amount or life-changing amount of money I would stop in a heartbeat, I mean their nothing wrong to gamble occasionally as long as you know your limits and doesnt gamble a big percentage of your money that could affect your life.

So I think Its normal to gamble sometimes if you just want to have some fun and get entertained also at the same time probably wins or lose your money but that doesnt really matter because it was just a small amount of money and that wouldn't affect my entire life even though I lose it.
