Unfortunately I lost my bet as Chelsea failed to score single goal against Newcastle and Manchester City also suffered defeat to Tottenham, only Newcastle performance this season is much worse than last season and they continue to drop down the Premier League but look more interesting in the EFL Cup.

Some of this games were a bit tricky today, the premier league clubs were going head to head against each other and the result wasn’t bad for some while Manchester city losing to Tottenham wasn’t a thing tonight I think clubs like Chelsea should be winning their own games because this is the fastest way to get a trophy and the Chelsea team right now needs to build their confidence and winning a trophy on your first season is important. As for Manchester United I was definitely expecting them to show a change of character just to gain the trust of the new manager, moreover Leicester have not even been that great too so it wasn’t any extraordinary win.

To be very objective, I have these statements to make;

2. When Michael Carrick was given the interim manager job, he did well also.

Biggest shockers today was City losing to Tottenham and Chelsea getting enough heat from a team they played against and won 3 days ago. I think Enzo pushed his luck too much by replacing all 11 players that helped him win earlier this week. If you're going to give B team a chance, you need to mix them up with some of the experienced first team players so everything stays coordinated for as long as possible before those substitutions come in.

Well, I'm happy Chelsea and City are out. That's two less competitors for Liverpool to go up against. We wrapped up a 2-3 win over Brighton btw. Enjoyed today's games.

Indeed the sack of Eric was the right thing to do. I can't jump into conclusions yet concerning the performance of Manchester united if they truly are now in form, but I guess their next match will determine that. With a competitive opponent like Chelsea, if Manchester United wins the game, there would be chances for then to win a trophy this season.
