I for one really enjoyed the four hour limitation - I learned more in that time than most people who claim to be interested in Bitcoin learn within a month.

Tough changes for people who got demoted, still don't know how I haven't seen a single "whatever pharmacy online buy drugs online now" thread in this forum yet. Looks like mods are doing a pretty good job.

Just report them if you see 'em. I've not seen any of those online pharmacy ones but there's been a few of those watch movies online bots with links to a load of recent releases.

I've seen so many threads being moved in the Bitcoin discussion sub forum I think they have been doing a great job.

Wait, so you can get banned and come back again by paying a fee?

Ironically, Atlas was once banned for suggesting such.

Yeah I moved some there, somehow I don't think Bitcoin Discussion is the best forum for "guyz how does the blockchain work??"

I don't think it's been bad. I've seen a few odd posts and threads but not nearly as bad as it would have been a year ago. I ran a poll asking what coin newbies were here for just before the end of the newbie section and most were here for an altcoin. That's kind of keeping Bitcoin Discussion from being bombed with stupidity. I assumed the public move away from Bitcoin was part of the reason the decision was made to remove the restrictions. Didn't theymos know it wouldn't have much of an effect before the restrictions were lifted?

I'll admit it's not been as bad as expected, but there has been a notable albeit slight increase in newb spam. I'd personally still prefer a newbie jail though.

I think most people do actually come here for the alts now, but I'm sure most will transition other eventually. I see crapcoins as letting the kids have some toys to play with, but they'll soon get bored and outgrow them... especially when they realise they wont become a millionaire off those millions of doges they’ve been holding and can't buy fuck all with them in the future Grin.

Yes, the newbie section was a good thing.
I would hunt for easy questions with no reply and help the newbies.

Hardly anyone posts in there now they're not forced to, and I think most of the new threads have been moved from elsewhere  Grin.
