Tough decision, EOS has skyrocketed and I would avoid it for now as a longterm hold untill the price cools down. Ethereum is hanging in there pretty stable. I would suggest to either go with your own research which points to EOS as you say or go with both. My main advice would be to dollar-cost average in, which means you pick a number of how much you want to invest and start buying some of the coin(s) you want every week/month?

example:
I want to invest $5000,- into ETH and EOS, $2500,- both
Every month I put $500,- into ETH and EOS regardless of the price
After 5 months I have invested the full sum and calculate my average buy in, you now just hold untill you're satisfied with the returns. Goodluck

I suggest the same thing because I know Ethereum is very potential to experience a more rapid development. so this gives chances to gain a far greater advantage in future. other than that with Ethereum which has a high price, and supported by an ever-increasing development. so the price is soaring high in the future.

much of what I know is more liked by Ethereum because I know already many people are investing in Ethereum rather than investing in EOS because Ethereum has many advantages even now that Ethereum has a good growth and thus more Ethereum likes

I like Eth because it currently is ranked in second level after just Bitcoin. I think it has potential to develop and even over come Bitcoin in the future.

To me, both coin have advanced technology. Eos went into a rapid rise recently and gave hope to the people. But Ethereum has been in the market for a long time and gives more confidence than it has a high market share. For me it makes more sense to invest in Ethereum.

You will never regret investing on ethereum because I surely know 2018 will be a good year to it and they will make more developments to its system so better to start investing to it than to other coins. Yes no one can predict the future of each coins but in ethereum many people guaranteed of huge income if you continue on holding your ethereum. If you see the growth graph of ethereum it is slowly increasing this past few months and having a good foundation for one of the best coins in the future.

If you pay attention to how today everything that exists in the crypto-currency market works, then it seems to me that the conclusion suggests itself. I think that in the near future we will see again how the crypto-currency market takes off and then EOS will take the first place.

EOS and ETH have the same potential for moon. But if there is an option I will choose ETH. Because I feel the ETH is very stable price and now ETH more and more demand. Just waiting for the right time for moon.

EOS looks like a scam project to me until recently, all they had going for is their whitepaper and some very suspicious decisions on behalf of the developers team. ETH is much better in my opinion

Many guys are telling that EOS is the new ETH, but anyway I prefer to stick with old and faithful Ethereum, for now I don't see the reason why I should step off from it. Maybe in the future I will change my mind.

There is no doubt that EOS is potential coin with long term perspectives, but it is centralised and there is no product at all. Ok, there is a testnet, but I've not seen use cases yet. Thus far ethereum is better investment decision
