Have you seen the sad incident happened in the Waalwijk-Ajax match? Football can really be dangerous sometimes. They are saying that the Waalwijk goalkeeper Vaessen's condition is critical and he has a risk of death as well. However there hasn't been any official statement made yet. I hope that he can regain his health by recovering as soon as possible.

Ouch just seen this, hope he is okay but things like this keep on happening in modern football and i think some serious things need to be taken so things like this stop happening. Football in second plan once this happen and hopefully he will be okay and to hear some positive news.

Az Alkmaar vs Heracles
Alkmaar is on the second position in the standing and with the current game on, if they happen to win they will have 18 points and strength their position as second on the standing. in their last five games they have won four and lost one, the have never lost at home since the league began  and this game is at there home so they may likely not want to loose.

Heracles is at tenth position with seven points on the standing, they have in their last five games won two and lost two and drew one game, they have lost one game at home and they are away, they have not won any away game since the league began. They are not really a strong team enough to denied Alkmaar of this win tonight.

It's just the first half and Alkmaar is one goal ahead they have the possession, they are ahead of Heracles in everything by statistics in the first half so far so definitely they will most likely win maybe by adding a goal in the second half of the game and sealing their victory or better still they can hold on the goal they have already and make sure not to concede a goal.

Just summing up the last page of posts, we knew from last season hooliganism is rearing its head in Dutch football again -- some new rules in place I see being done here and there across Europe. Strange that Rotterdammers are usually to blame. Not to point fingers but I think they need to be harsher on clubs. Empty stadiums aren't enough, damage is done.

A lot of fans will suffer. Players too. But the problems seem to be worsening in the Randstads, absolute bans need to happen. Cause it starts like this. "Harmless" property damage and cheeky standoffs. It quickly progresses to threats, weapons, etc.

Back to the footie, Berghuis must be having nightmares =)
Some fans are just harming their own team without knowing that. Are they trying to stop the game since their team is doing badly? That happened and Ajax received another goal and lost by 4 goals to 0.. Sitting in the end is bad for a team like Ajax Undecided
By the way Alkmaar is leading right now by 1 goal vs Heracles

I cant predict the future but when you have so few top spots and contenders for the title and european competitions spots, if you start so early to lose points, you are gonna be in big troubles, its not easy to see the other contenders losing points against weak teams.

The bad run continues for Ajax. It was obvious that they were going to lose this match after 0-3 but they conceded 1 more goal in the remaining time without spectators today and the match ended 0-4. Things aren't going well for Ajax after such a big defeat at home. They have only 5 points in 5 games. PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar continue without any point loss. The point difference has already widened a lot.
It looks like the championship race this season will be between PSV and Feyenoord. Even if Ajax can recover from here, I don't think they can be in the championship race.
Santiago Giménez has an impressive performance. He's already scored 9 goals this season. I wonder which team he will go next season. West Ham, Spurs and Arsenal are already watching him.

Game between Ajax and Feyenoord will be resumed tomorrow from 55th minute and game will be without spectators. From first glance, everything looks decided in this game, but cases like this everything still can happen. Teams will come fresh to this game and there is still plenty of time to play.

agree here, that is not even happening in our local league anymore, and Ere should be much more serious league than those
and after having several incidents last season (you missed Groningen in the list, they had also interrupted match last season, if I am not mistaken), this is really embarrassing for Ajax

nevertheless, with match continuing tomorrow, without any punishment for Ajax so far, I think we will see more of those in the future
Yeah, even in Serbia, Greece or Turkey where fans can be really wild sometimes, games don't get interrupted so often like in Eeredivisie. If they can't guarantee safety, they probably should make games without spectators.

It's not just about Ajax, but in general, similar things happens in almost every big game involved by Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV or Twente. What's wrong with this league? I hope that league finally will take serious actions because such things can't continue.

I don't know what is more shameful - how Ajax is playing or how their fans is behaving. 0:3 after 45 minutes and soon in 2nd half fans started throwing flares into pitch. As I understand, game is abandoned and won't be resumed.

There is nothing shameful about Ajax loosing to neighbors Feyenoord by 3 goals; its a game of football; Sheffield United were defeated at home by Newcastle United with 8 goals and there was no fans intrusion or game disruption either and there was no attack on players or properties.

On the other hand; it is shameful what the Ajax fans did to the game, the stadium and the Eredivisie league; and it is more shameful that after 12 hours there has not been any report detailing arrest of those thugs who vandalized the stadium. I really hope Eredivisie hits Ajax with strong sanctions and point deductions; to ensure that such is not allowed to repeat itself anymore.

Eredivisie has to separate football from fan violence and thugs!

I can see your point, but asides of that it is a shamefull to lose a derby in the first half for 3-0, its not the same a normal game of the league or a national derby, you have to know that.

And the risk to ended up losing by a big margin its very big.

Another dark game in the history and current situation of Ajax Amsterdam, 3 goals down despite having much more possession, then the fan riots, the interruption and finally the abandonment of the game.

Mislintat has now also been fired, I can't assess it 100% but I think it's good that he's leaving Ajax, allegedly he ignored the talent scouts and with the transfer of Borna Sosa not everything went right.

I dont want to be that annoying guy who said " I said it" , but if anyone relook the thread i said in the beginning of the season this Ajax not start well and also can be very bad if they dont wake up fast, but asides of that thinking i dont expect this bad, they have a very good team in names, i dont really kinow what its happen.

From what I heard on TV, in the next few days KNVB will make a decision on what punishment to apply for what happened in this game. but the TV commentators who saw this news said that it is more likely that the KNVB will decide that the game is over and will give victory to Feyenoord. Now in my opinion they should ban people from bringing things that cause any danger during games and as punishment Ajax should be banned from having fans watching the game on the field for many games. because if the KNVB imposed a fine it would only bankrupt the teams, something that in my opinion would not put an end to this type of shameful behavior.

Yesterday PSV played against Amere in a game in which PSV was being seen as the favorite to win the game and as expected PSV won the game very easily, they managed to score 4 goals and did not concede any goals, with this victory convincingly PSV shows that this season they are fighting and I had already commented on this months ago that this season PSV and Feyenoord will be competing with each other for the title and that Ajax would be bad like last season, that's because I didn't see Ajax signing a good coach and their squad isn't the best either and they didn't convince me that they could fight for the title. I believe that most Ajax fans will have already realized that this season Ajax will not win the Eredivisie either.

although there have only been 4 games in which ajax has played and with 4 games we could think that it is still too early to think that ajax will not be able to win the title, in the 4 games they only won in just 1 game and today in the game against Feyenoord, if the game had reached the 90th minute, it was clear that Ajax would lose the game and knowing that Feyenoord are the current champions and candidates to win the Eredivisie again, this meant that Ajax fans were unable to contain their frustration and did what we saw, a very reprehensible attitude that must be punished. but it is clear that feyenoord and psv and az and twente so far are the 4 teams that are doing well and that feyenoord and psv one of them will be champion

They need to wake up NOW.

In any case, Ajax now has a great need for action, but coach Maurice Steijn has only been in office for a short time, so he still has to improve a lot, otherwise he will soon no longer be a coach at Ajax Amsterdam.

In the previous season, Ajax had many departures and almost no additions, and that's when the dilemma started, when they saved up to the last, but probably the biggest mistake was to let Erik ten Hag go, but against Manchester United it's hard to keep the coach.
Looking at Ajax's performance in the first four matches of this season, I don't think Ajax will challenge for the title this year. So I think they created quite good chemistry between the coach and the game tactics. I hope Ajax can at least qualify for the Champions League next season but it seems UEFA is the most realistic. This is a tough job for Maurice Steijn because currently he has to rebuild the Ajax squad. So giving a little time to the coach is a good option I think.

I was a bit sceptical reading comments few weeks ago that Ajax isn't title contender this season, but after watching their game with Twente, it's difficult to believe in them. Now they doesn't looks like a team which have something to fight for title. It's just 4 rounds, but all their main rivals is looking strong and they're already far away. Chair of Ajax coach is getting hot and I'm not sure how much time he will get, though, he isn't main problem.

So Ajax with this budget and possibilities in the Netherlands must always be a title contender, but you mention it, if there is not a quick improvement at Ajax, the coach will no longer be sitting in the chair at the end of October, I think the responsible people at Ajax will already be looking for a suitable candidate.

I was one of the guys who said that, and man, i still think that, but i cant understand why they are playing so bad, its a non sense, when you see the players they have they have a very good squad, i dont know what its happening, but its not looking good.

They need to wake up NOW.
