Ajax have signed a new striker, the Nigerian-born Englishman is to come from Middlesbrough for 12.3 million. He was the top scorer last year, but I think Ajax have always had a problem defensively rather than offensively in recent years?

He couldn't make it in the Arsenal youth team, but maybe he'll have his big breakthrough now at Ajax. I think the sum is a bit high, but maybe the striker is worth the money.

Well yesterday we have the tie of Ajax, and today another tie of Feyenoord, refered to Ajax i see the yesterday team , and man, this its not looking good for them, i dont see a better team than last year, about Feyenoord i already said this year they are gonna not fight for anything, they always after became the champion make a bad season, i dont know why.

I only have the Dirk Kuyt-led team to compare from my short history of Eredivisie and I think it's far too early to call shots but I'm also getting the nagging feeling that Feyenoord will not only come short in the league but crash out of early UCL -- and that's not even considering Ajax.

Waalwijk, that's who we all gotta watch out for now eh? But no, seriously PSV, plus a god run for them in Europa? About time the Amsterdammer-Rotterdammer nonsense gets pushed aside heh heh.

PSV seems like the real contender and number 1 favorite for me, they have everything, an excellent coach, some big names in the squad, and they play well in team. We see already in europe they destroy Sturm Graz, i know Sturm its a weak team compared to PSV, but still a team who always play in europe and make difficult games, and PSV wipe out them.

Today against Rangers we can see some confirmation of this or not.

of course it is too early to write Ajax off for title chase, league just started, and draws as this one can happen to everyone
what does not look good is that Ajax is conceiving goals easily
even two converted chances into goal would be enough, if they didn't conceived, but they did

Ajax is also only at the beginning of a difficult season, and by the standards of Ajax and their fans, last season was a very disappointing season. But if Ajax have several such slip-ups at the beginning of the new season, they could quickly lose touch with the top.

We'll see how Ajax perform in 2 days against Ludogorets Razgrad.

Maybe it's a bit too early to draw conclusion just after 2 rounds? Especially considering that they dropped points in Rotterdam derby - game which isn't easy usually. Here in my country it's popular to say that defending trophy is more difficult than winning it and probably it's true that Feyenoord isn't main favorite to win it again.
After 2 rounds 4 teams have perfect score - AZ, Twente, PSV and Heerenveen.

Yeah i know this sound too early to claim what i claim, but im not only seeing this two games as a base of my analisis, and i know thisc an sound weird or strange, but for me historically facts are important, and always Feyenoord strug so much after become the champion.

From someone seeing from a far position this league, I find it normal to see AZ Alkmaar and PSV Eindhoven in the top of the table. Ajax missed points after a draw, well this could occur to any team. For Feyenoord, 0 points after 2 matches is worrying. They even lost Johan Cruijff Shield vs PSV Eindhoven although finished the first in the last season with only two defeats..

Well Ajax have failed to claim another 3points giving PSV the lead against them in the table they’ve had a win and a draw so far making them to be 2nd place in the table and i think it's too early to write them off

Ajax failed to defeat their opponent despite playing well.Ajax closed the first half with a 1-1 draw against Excelsior and fell behind at the beginning of the second half and could not get the 3 points despite a good game.It is a sad result for Ajax who dominated the match and had no difficulty in getting into goal position. The return of these points lost in the first weeks can be heavy, so the importance of the 2 points lost here will be more clearly understood when we enter the last weeks.PSV will play Vitesse on the road. It's not an easy game for PSV.They may have trouble giving everything to the game because they are tired of the Champions League, but I think they will win, even if by a small margin.I'm undecided whether Vitesse will score goals or not, so I can bet directly on PSV.
Didn't  watched any of Eredivisie games today, so, a bit difficult to comment. But Ajax dropping points in 2nd round already is big surprise. After all, Excelsior isn't that team which should cause lot of problems for team like Ajax. But Ajax now is one of youngest teams in league, I think they need some time until they will start showing stable results.
Meanwhile PSV achieved win against Vitesse, team which usually gives good fight for leaders, especially at home.
Tomorrow we have Rotterdam derby between Sparta and Feyenoord, should be interesting.
Well Ajax have failed to claim another 3points giving PSV the lead against them in the table they’ve had a win and a draw so far making them to be 2nd place in the table and i think it's too early to write them off yet because the league just started and they have enough time to close the gap, all they need is a good win in their next match amd the ones after, their performance today was quite impressive, they had 15 shots and 8 were on target which means they missed lots of chaces in getting more goals and would had won if they converted one more chance into a goal, and also 69% ball possession im the match means they dominated more but where so unlucky to concede 2 goals.
PSV on the other hand have had fine wins in their previous 2 games, 2 - 0 at home against Utrecht and a 1- 3 away today, what made me happy was that i predicted them to win today and they did and even performed more than i expected, they'll definitely be top contender of the Eredivisie league and would be a serious competition for Ajax this season.

the results of yesterday's games had at least one result that surprised me, which was the result of the game between ajax and excelsior, in this game ajax were the first to score a goal, but then they conceded a goal and the game was tied, and the ajax conceded again and with that excelsior was in advantage, ajax had to make an effort to score a goal and draw the game, and ajax managed to do that, but ajax could not score another goal to leave this game with victory and as a result ajax risked having two games 1 win and 1 draw, they had 4 points, while one of their main opponents PSV who played against vitesse had no difficulties in winning the game, it was a game in which the PSV scored 3 goals and conceded 1 and had the most ball possession. they dominated the game, to be honest I see PSV as being a strong candidate to win the league

heracles won in their game against NEC in a game where NEC was winning the game but how heracles managed to reverse this bad scenario by having managed to score 2 goals and win the game. Go head eagles played against volendam and won the game, it was a game where Go head eagles destroyed volendam, they scored 4 goals and conceded only 1 goal, an interesting fact and that Go head eagles was left with only 10 players just after 45 minutes of the 1st half but even so they managed to win the game, their performance was quite incredible. tomorrow will play feyenoord who will play against sparta rotterda, in this game i see that it will be a very difficult game for feyenoord, probably they can suffer another draw. the season is not off to a good start for feyenoord

The more i see it the more i think, what a shame are French team playing in europe, you cant be so bad, also having PSG spending millions and they cant make a decent tournament, Marseille always strugling against weakers teams, like we saw the other day agains Panatinaikos.

Eredivisie teams allways make a really good performance in European tournaments, its one thing to feel proud.

The fact that Eredevise got fifth spot shows that they are doing good consistently and thats what matters. Just because one team could end up being at a high place never means anything, but if you end up with some teams doing very well then you are going to get higher place. Look at France, they have PSG doing great, better than any eredevise team probably, but at the end of the day they are the only one and fail to get wins.

On the other hand, teams at Eredevise may not be at UCL, but they are at europa or conference league and they are doing great, that's the most important part and should be considered the benefit without a doubt. I get that it's going to matter but as long as they get a win, where they get it doesn't matter.

The Eredivisie has done very well in the international arena in recent years, in the past you didn't hear anything except from Ajax and PSV. Therefore, I assume that the quality in general has increased a lot.

Feyenoord used to be a name, but unfortunately they were also bad for many years, I hope it stays that way now.

similar here, and I like to see discussion about Dutch teams performing in European competitions, as long as it is being held on Dutch teams

PSV had good start, AZ as well, but this is just a beginning and it is expected from them to be good
maybe Ere can even push Ligue 1 from top5 leagues in future, due to lousy results that French teams have in Europe

TOP 4 is not achievable for the Eredivisie in my opinion, but it is exciting to see how the Eredvisie has improved especially against Portugal and France, before only Ajax and PSV scored the big points for the Eredivisie and now several teams score as you can clearly see the last 2 years. PSV was simply stronger than Sturm over the two games.

I was very surprised to only see one draw in the round, and that one draw was one not so predictable, the last champion Feyenoord cant wina gainst a very weak team, i said it before but like always Feyenoord can maintain the level after a good season. I know its only one game, but i can see the same as always.

A few days ago I questioned myself a lot about the reason why the bookmakers were giving odds of @1.16 in case feynoord and ajax won, I even imagined that ajax would have more difficulty in winning the game against heracles, but to my surprise ajax somehow won like in the old days when they won games by scoring a lot of goals, no doubt this was a good way for ajax to start the league and their fans must be very happy and confident that this season the team will have good performance. but the same cannot be said of feynoord who had a draw in a game in which one of his players received a red card very early, even with greater possession of good feyenoord was unable to score a goal

something i also noticed about feyenoord's game is that they had 22 shots but only managed to hit 6 shots on target, its a bad performance, i'm wondering if they had played all 90 minutes with 11 players if that would have made any difference in the result or the resolute would be the same, I know that these are the first games of the league and drawing conclusions early could mislead me, but looking at the results of this day it seems to me that the candidates for the title this season will be ajax and PSV, feyenoord I don't think I'll be able to be champions again

we'll see how feyenoord do in the next game, but don't have high expectations for feyenoord this season. AZ won in their game against Go ahead eagles, in a game in which AZ scored 5 goals, honestly it was a be, bad game for Go ahead eagles, a humiliating defeat like this precisely in the first game of the season is not something that the Go ahead eagles fans would like to watch, unfortunately that's what Go ahead eagles fans watched. and the AZ fans, without a doubt, must have been very happy with this result precisely in the first game of the league

I think i said it before, but again after seeing and confirm what i thinked, PSV this year/season its the team to beat i think, with the names they have plus the management of Peter Bozs they can make a lot this year, we see a little example of what they can do on SUpercup and in the game for european competition against Sturm Graz, they killed it, and it wasnt an easy one.
