Would you say that Alkmaar can compete with PSV this season? I think no one can beat PSV this season and almost 100% they will win the Eredivise league this season. Maybe now we can talk about places 2, 3 and 4. Ajax's draw in the last match means they are now 8 points behind Alkmaar in fourth place. One place in the Champions League has definitely belonged to PSV. We just have to talk about 1 more place that will be contested by Feyenoord, Twente and AZ Alkmaar.

Alkmaar has shown a little below-average performance in the last five matches in my opinion. Of course, almost all the people expected better performance from them. And I don't think they will actually be able to go anywhere near the first position. Just for context, and they are in the 4th position and the point difference between them and the team in the first position of the table is 12. So yes things are looking tough for them and at the same time PSV looks like running away with things.

All my predictions today were off. I got only the Feyernoord game right. I expected Feyernoord to win easily and they did.
I didn't expect Almere City to thrash Vitesse that way. Since both of them are teams battling in the relegation zone, I expected it to be a close match. It's just goes ahead to show how bad Vitesse is. I didn't predict that many goals, I thought it would be a 1-1 draw.
Also expected Ajax to win. When they equalized and took the lead, I thought they would scored more, but again I was wrong. Zwolle scored again to make it 2-2.

I'm going to predict the last game of today again and hopefully I'll get this one correct. I don't know the exact score line but I'll give PSV the win. PSV to win but Alkmaar will score. Maybe a 3-1 in favor of PSV.

@Ltu_btc PSV has been showing really good performance this season. They have played 15 matches so far and they have not lost a single match. They have actually been able to win every single match that they have played so far and they have also not dropped a single point as well. Looks like they are going to be really unstoppable. The point difference is also very big with other teams right now.  So it is not very dumb to expect them to win the league title.

If anything I expected a better performance from Ajax. They have started really slow.  But now it looks like they are picking up the pace. The last five matches were very good for them.

Today we have few good interesting matches with Feyenoord won their game easily and have three points which will keep them strong at the second spot in another match 10 men Sparta which was leading by 2–1 held by visitors Twente as injury time goal from Unuvar give them one important point, and they will be happy with this but in last game which was played between Ajax vs Zwolle give big setback to home team which was trying to recover from their early loses and were leading by 2–0 in first 60 minutes lost 2 important points and match ended with the score of 2–2 which is disappointing for them.

Now after few minutes we are heading for another big game which is going to play between top Dutch teams AZ Alkmaar is going to host leaders PSV, even mostly are feeling this is going to be easy win for the visitors but still we will be able to have entertaining match between these two inform teams.

Ajax having flashbacks from the start of the season, and leaving go a easy game against PEC Zwolle. But well not every game you are gonna win, lets see how this develop. Twente also with a draw.

Anyone know what is happening on Vitesse? Really bad aseason for them.

Feyenoord won their game against Heracles so easy, 4:0 probably don't even reflect the game. Stats of game better reflect their dominace. Twente unexpectedly dropped points in Rotterdam against Sparta. It's impressive that Sparta scored 2 goals after one of their players got red card in 1st half. Ajax is leading 2:1 vs Zwolle, 20 minutes remaining, so, ending might be interesting if Ajax won't score 3rd goal.
I put some money on PSV, don't expect much from AZ. Maybe I understimate them too much, but for me they're not looking great and I'm surprised that they still hold 4th place with just 1 point behind Twente.

The Eredivise is competitive no doubt and consistency works very much for the teams there. It's winter season and so the teams ought to brace up to gain enough grounds ahead of post winter break. PSV and Ajax are doing explicitly well in the league as they've been able to keep up with game victories too, especially Ajax that's really tried in keeping up.

 For Alkmaar, they're lagging behind and it's really taking toll on them and their points on the league table too. They've just got to find a balance and get back to their pace. Their league isn't even as competitive as other European leagues as there are just a few teams that are tough in their play. They can still meet up with points and stay at a good spot on the table too. Congrats to Ajax and PSV, they're good and are growing better gradually regardless of the little loopholes that they're having too.
 

If you look at the difference in points with second place, it looks like it will be difficult for Ajax to reach second place at the end of the season. Even though the league is still long, Ajax has just emerged from adversity and usually teams that recover from adversity will experience difficulties, and they will not be completely consistent. . Maybe reaching rank 3 is more realistic. Yes, right. PSV seems to have no competitors, in fact they have dominated the Eredivise this season, they have not been touched by a defeat or draw, maybe this is a new record for them at this time.

Although being away is a disadvantage for them, we know that PSV has the potential to get 3 points in this match.Although AZ Alkmaar has been in poor form in recent weeks, it can be expected to show a resistance against PSV.We can expect this match to be high in terms of viewing pleasure because both teams have no problem scoring goals.

I also think if they continue to keep winning after winning then they will have a lot of potential to get second place at the end of the season. I agree, Ajax is one of the best in Eredivisie and also in Europe as well now they are coming out of their bad time and their winning streak is getting long which is clearly indicating now things can take positive turn, and they will be at their best in next half of this season which will give them spot into top four with PSV and Feyenoord both are impressive and most chances they will keep momentum but AZ Alkmaar or Twente can give space.

PSV is clearly hot at the moment and their form is impressive which allow them to have spot into top 16 of the European round as well and AZ Alkmaar is already on decline which will help visitors to have all three points from this match and keep their spot at the top of league table.

If you look at the quality of the team, I think that Ajax really has the potential to rise to 2nd or 3rd place. I didn't say first place because it looks like PSV will win the Eredivise this year.
For the AZ vs PSV match I think everyone agrees PSV will win that match. It's just that we can bet on what the final score of the match will be. I bet it will only be a 1 goal difference because AZ is not a weak team in the Eredivise.

Even I am feeling completely different from you but still I am counting this game as one of the interesting in this round because AZ Alkmaar is having bad time they lost their last game in Conference League and their performance in this league is also not good in last few matches as they lost 8 points and now having chance to drop on fourth spot with Twente is also going to visit Sparta Rotterdam which is also one of the interesting matches in this round with after this round we will have 25 days winter break, so mostly teams will try to keep things on high note before this break so most chances PSV will win and go on break with undefeated in this season's first half.

There is no doubt things will be not easy for the both teams but currently PSV is surely having good depth into their team and their players are doing impressive job which giving them win after win and most chances they could be claim title before end of this season due to big difference of points due to the worst time of Ajax which was struggling and now trying to fight back for the top flight.

Ajax is proving themself that they have mentality to have turnaround from a poor phase of a season. This is what big clubs do when it matters. This positive change is remarkable as they climb from the bottom half to the fifth spot and secure a place in the Conference League. The recent win not only boosts their confidence but also sets a long positive journey in second half of the season. Looking at this trend, It wont be a surparise if they come to challenge for the tittle.

Ajax have a realistic chance to close the points gap with the teams above them, because they have an advantage situation with the competition among the top teams. And they have quality players who have showcased their potential in recent games, and their performance will be crucial in determining their position in the league standings. Ajax have overcome their worst start to the season with being in a position to build momentum. This resurgence delivers the fans thrilling encounters as Ajax aims to secure a higher spot in the league.

AZ players already came to this game without motivation, even if they won, they wouldn't be able to stay at the top and with the goal they conceded and then got a red card, everything got worse for them, but it's very strange to see that in this group they finished in third place, and in my opinion the only strong team in that group was Aston Villa, the rest of the other teams were weak, which in their leagues are not in the top position and are not big leagues and even so AZ did very poorly in this group. I agree with you, they are giving a bad image of Eredivisie teams in European competitions. Fortunately, PSV is managing to do well in the Eredivisie and in European competitions, they managed to move to another stage in the European Champions League, which puts more money in PSV's wallet.

Today we had NEC game against Fortuna, on paper the difference between these two teams was not very big, with NEC in the last 5 games having managed to obtain 3 wins, 1 defeat and 1 draw. while his opponent, Fortune, managed to obtain 3 victories and 2 defeats. An interesting fact is that NEC came into this game with 3 consecutive victories, while Fortuna lost in the last game. In my opinion, the most interesting game of this round would be this:

AZ - PSV

PSV, which is at the top of the table with an advantage of 10 points and is doing very well in European competitions and in the last 5 games they have not had any defeat and they are the only team in the league that has not yet lost in any game, they will play against a opponent who in the last 5 games had 2 wins, 2 defeats and 1 draw, in this game if PSV wins they may be able to increase their advantage if Feyenoord loses in their game, which would give PSV even more comfort in the next games. In my opinion PSV will win this game, but it won't be a very easy game for them

Ajax which was at the bottom but now back into their best and already at the fifth spot with their last night win bring them into Conference league as well which is positive change and from here now we can expect next half of the season is going to be entertaining because currently they are 11 points behind second spotted Feyenoord with just 9 points behind AZ Alkmaar which is at the third spot, and they are having good quality players and their performance could be vital in coming matches for having best spot after worst start of this season even all four teams are playing impressive game but still now it's time for the Ajax to create pace some themselves which is possible.

    Ajax have not been at their best performances but they've definitely been winning games and have been consistent to it. Definitely a coach has his own impact in a team, once the head is faulty, there'll always be loopholes. It means a lot for a team to get victorious consecutively in a row and for Ajax, that's caused a gradual improvement regardless not doubting that they still have to put in more work. They've got players no doubt but the squad needs to be better, Ajax is a team better than a narrow win, at the moment though, finding the right player who's top and ready in all areas to give that competitive capacity in both the domestic league and the European leagues will be hard.

 Every team won't want to loose their kept men and every player that's be free are the ones that weren't so solid for the team. It's quite expensive to get for a team a high valued player no doubt and Ajax management may not likely be up to the task and it's going to be unsafe to settle for a less standard player, their winning consistency is good but they just have to find a way to stop the wins from occuring through a narrow means. The coach is good at what he does but he has to improve himself and the team too, once all the necessary characteristics needed are in place, then it'll be an easy ride for Ajax

Ajax is a big team in the league, they have had difficulties this season, but with their recent form I think the 9 points separating them from the 3rd placed team is really nothing. Ajax has a good history of winning multiple games at a stretch, they have the resources to add more quality players to their squad in the January transfer window which the other teams don't really have. Ajax will end the season in the top 3 standing.

What a bad performance yesterday from Az Alkmark in european competitions, this only makes a bad image of the league in europe, and losing some important points in the anual ranking of UEFA. For luck PSV is doing great, and Ajax yesterday at least secure a spot in Conference.
