You don't expect Feyenoord to play at the top of their strength when they have already secured the Dutch League title. PSV fought to the end to make sure they qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League football at the expense if Ajax
Ajax won't be playing champions league football next season and surely they're gonna feel so bad about it but that's football anyway. Sometimes results comes in contrary of the actual performance in the game.
In the last match that was held by Feyenoord, they performed badly and had to lose 1-0 to Vitesse, so I'm not so sure about the stability of Feyenoord in the UCL later, while PSV managed to narrowly win over Alkmaar with a score of 2-1 and were lucky to get UCL ticket on next season. for ajax, they have to surrender to the ranking they achieved in the standings, there is still a chance next season.

interesting last round, and PSV secured their CL spot with a win over AZ, that came in overtime
Ajax lost to Twente, even a win would not mean much since PSV won, but they were losing before PSV scored, and Twente was solid today

Feyenoord failed to win last match at home, but they are celebrating a title after all, congrats
Feyenoord loss isn't surprising, they're in part mode already, we saw similar things happening in other leagues too. Twent 3:1 Ajax, resultthat doesn't reflect game, Ajax wasn't that bad, but who cares when you lose game 3:1. Sad ending of terrible season for Ajax.
PSV managed to win game and secure place in CL, despite that they had just 10 men on pitch in final minutes after El Ghazi was sent off. Great performance by Xavi Simmons who scored 2 goals. 1st his goal is really beautiful, especially that de Jong assist.
So, now only playoffs for UEFA spots and promotion playoffs is remaining this season.

So you see how unstable all clubs are in the top of the premier league. Ajax took a 0-1 lead relatively quickly, and after fifteen minutes in the second half they were 2-1 behind. When it became 3-1 it was completely played of course. Playing the Europa League is perhaps where Ajax belongs, this Ajax team would take a hard beating in the CL, so maybe it's good that they can grow in the EL. And who will be the new trainer? Continuing on the current footing is absolutely not an option for Ajax. I think that van der Sar should also leave and bringing Overmars back would be good for the club. but does he really want it?

Unexpectedly, we still get an exciting final round in the battle for places 2, 3 and 4. It could be that Ajax will still play conference League and PSV is lucky that it still managed a 3-3 draw to obtain. So the cards have not yet been shuffled for the next round, the final game. PSV does have a tough opponent in the form of AZ, which was eliminated this week in the conference league. Ajax to the conference league, that would be a big failure for the club and the end for van der Sar as general manager?

If PSV lose to AZ and Ajax win, Ajax could even finish second, but Ajax could also finish fourth if AZ win and Ajax lose. So a very exciting last round in the Eredivisie. Nobody expected that in the last round so much is possible, Ajax from second to fourth place everything is possible.

Conferece league would be a disappointment for Ajax in any case, even if the chances to win it would be high.
The last game of the eredivise was really quite interesting although the results were rather shocking as teams who needed a vital win all failed to do so. And one lucky team would be ajax as they managed to end the season with a third place finish which is unlike them because of the grip they have on that league. AZ was unlucky they had to loose and end up with just a fourth place result.

Feyenoord had been champions for a long time, maybe that's why they suffered the 2nd defeat of the entire season, there was nothing more at stake. Xavi Simons saved PSV and because of him they now play Cl. But it was also a good year for PSV, won the cup, won the super cup and placed 2nd and therefore qualified for the CL. it didn't matter much if Ajax should have played the Conefgrence league. They will still be somewhat relieved at Ajax, but how can you be relieved when you finish 3rd and have not won any prizes at all? Feyenord is undoubtedly the big winner, And arne slot also remains. A top result in all respects.

yes, Ajax will somehow be relieved with a 3rd place, although they now miss the qualification for the CL. Surely that should also be a reason for players to look for another club for next season? If Heitinga stays head coach, then we can be pretty sure things won't get much better for next season. You will have to get someone with the necessary experience, who knows how to build a good team with good players. I don't think Louis van Gaal is interested in coaching Ajax again. Arne Slot at Feyenoord, that is the basis for a new and perhaps even more successful season than it has been the last 2 seasons.

Ajax have now taken the lead before the break against Twente, PSV and AZ are still a draw. So nothing would change yet. Ajax would now have to hope that they and AZ win, then they could surprisingly still be second in the league, the German Bundesliga showed yesterday that anything is possible, even if I would have liked Borussia to win the title more than Bayern.

There is some nice competition for a Conference League spot and for staying in the Eredivisie at the same time. Twente are waiting for their opponent and it is likely to be Heerenveen now. I think Twente can eliminate them in the semi finals of the playoffs. The season has been much better for Twente already and they are the better side in their head-to-head games this season as well.

Even though Sparta Rotterdam finished regular season ahead of Utrecht their head-to-head games tell the opposite. Utrecht beat them quite comfortably in their both games. I think in this playoffs semi finals they will repeat this and eliminate their opponent after two games.

will be an interesting round, AZ at home is all but an easy fixture for PSV, and they could end-up losing 2nd spot after conceiving three goals at home last round
on the other hand, Ajax has a tough fixture as well, Twente will push to close regular season in good manner before play-off, due to secured 5th position

Twente should not be underestimated, so Ajax must give everything today, because they can win the second place or lose the third place. Fortunately, the games in the last round are all at the same time, so no team can play for a draw, PSV would be the only team that could be satisfied with a draw, but AZ will try to win the game.

PSV manager Van Nistelrooy just resigned before last round, interesting how it's going to affect team. These news is big surprise for me, but he said that he didn't got support from club board. 2nd place in league and win in Cup probably can't be called as bad season. AZ - PSV should be very interesting. While I wouldn't keep big expectations on Twente. They have secured 5th place, so this game before playoffs doesn't matters much for them, while for Ajax it's still important game.
Who knows what the problems really were, but for him this was usually a good start into his career as a coach. I think being the coach of PSV gives you access to a squad and a league where you can learn a lot. If he didn't have support from the board, that is another issue. But now I wonder what his next stop will be as a coach. But since he had a great career as a player as well it shouldn't be too hard for him to find something appropriate.
He resigned before last round match even his team is at second spot and have good chance for staying here with Ajax is going to visit Twente and have chance to win but PSV which is going to visit Alkmaar for their last game against AZ Alkmaar is also going to have chance for the better result but PSV board is not happy, so they announce this all and end first year as coach on high note.

From here if PSV lost then surely we can blame board for this because they need to do things like these after end of season right now before last match surely this is disturbing for all team, but things could be good in new season because now both top teams are having overhaul in squads with new coaches hopefully they will fight back for the top ranks or Feyenoord will not allow them for having any chance again with their performance and quality.
Undoubtedly, Ruud Van Nistelrooy had a good season with the PSV club and his relationship with his players has also been exceptional because one can visibly tell about his friendliness with his players judging by they do play out their hearts for the manager during games.
However, every manager would certainly want to manage a club whose board are solidly behind him by having confidence and unwavering support for as well. Ruud Van Nistelrooy feels he doesn't have the backing of the board and that's why he's decided to leave at the end of the season

after 3 successive seasons Ajax controlled the Eredivisie but this season Feyenoord managed to break that domination, it's true this was not a good season for Ajax and PSV but besides that it must be admitted that Feyenoord this season was extraordinary, they made the longest team record ever undefeated this season, Feyenoord had to wait 6 long years to finally win again this season, a 3-goal victory over Go Ahead Eagles confirmed Feyenoord as Eredivisie champions this season because it was impossible for their points to be overtaken by PSV and also Ajax.

in one last game all possibilities are possible because Ajax and AZ are only 2 points different, but I don't think that Ajax will fail in their last match.

Feyenoord had an outstanding season and got about the same amount of points as Ajax last year, two years ago Feyenoord would not have become champion with the current amount of points, Ajax is definitely weaker this season than the last seasons. But Feyenoord is still (as already mentioned) deserved champion this season, but I assume that Ajax and PSV (especially Ajax) will strengthen a lot in the summer, because of the many sales there should be many millions available.

Should AZ win and Ajax win, second place is still possible for Ajax.

PSV and Ajax are both not having a great season. But it all seemed to work out for PSV because they managed to win the cup and would be no less than 5 points ahead of Ajax. That difference has been reduced to 3 points after today, and those 3 points could still get PSV into trouble next week when they visit AZ. PSV still has the best chances to reach the CL, but let's not forget that AZ can still qualify for the EL, and that way Ajax can still be relegated to the Conference League. All scenarios are therefore still possible at the moment.

This was certainly a strong and also very refreshing performance from one of Ajax's competitors. It was time that something like that happens.

I did watch some of the Feyenoord games and liked their style a lot. The way they got eliminated from the Europa League against Roma was quite unlucky and both games taken together, Feyenoord would have deserved their spot in the semifinal (and perhaps now in the final). I think that the games in the semifinal with Feyenoord would have been more interesting than the one between Roma and Leverkusen.

But now we will wait and see whether this was an exception or whether Feyenoord will be able to keep competing with Ajax and PSV in the coming years.
