Looking for some wallet help here.  I've been mining at http://ronpaulcoin.miners-point.com/ and all has been going well, or so I thought.  When I synced up my wallet the first 5 automatic payments (more than 5 RPCs) to my address did not arrive although every payment after that has.  Anyone know what might be up with this?

Have you tried closing and reopening your wallet? It worked for me when the automatic payments stopped showing up.

Sure did.  The weird part is it's the 5 oldest payments that haven't arrived.  All payments newer than those are there.

What does the blockchain explorer say about the transactions?

The pool doesn't display the entire transaction ID and when I click it it takes me to the LTC blockchain explorer so obviously they aren't found.

I just finished creating our new website: www.RonPaulCoin.com

Great Job Colin!  Grin

Thank you for the coin, the improved site, for not pre-mining, and probably more i cant think of right now. Once the price of the coin is more soundly determined i have every intention of sending you a donation.

Happy New Year All! Ron Paul Coin 2014!!!

+1, colin you are a rock and roll dev Wink

My 280X found 37 blocks from which 10 got rejected at 750kh/s. Dividing average net hashrate by my hashrate and found blocks by my payouts i found out that i got exactly the same amount in RPC that i contributed to the net hashrate. I calculate average net hashrate as half of maximum hashrate assuming linear growth from the beginning.

If my maths are correct, my wallet contains exactly the same percentage of all coins that i contributed to the mining. I went solo for three hours, finding 18 blocks from which 8 got rejected and always mine at the second largest pool since then.

I guess our profitability is still very good and i'll keep mining and holding.

-u should be "-u poolusername.workername"

(without the quotes, but with the period)

Thank you!  That seemed to do the trick.

How long does it take for the worker in the pool to update with a hashrate?

and if I want to stop mining I take it I just close out the box?

press Q or just tap the X button

Something still seems to be missing.  I still don't see a hashrate online for my worker.

The cgminer box shows about ten blocks have been found since it's been open, but nothing is showing in my account.  No indication anywhere that I'm actually mining.

Shouldn't coins be apolytical?

I'm not american and I was thinking "maybe is some obscure actor who died".
I find ridiculous to name a coin after a politician

It seems like this coin is not worth mining on any pool. I have only 400kh/s and was mining 3 days for http://ronpaulcoin.miners-point.com. In that time I found 4 Blocks (=4RPC) but was credited with only ~2.6 RPC. Today I switched to http://rpc.muchhash.com and got 0.2 RPC since then...while finding 1 Block myself. That makes me sad - who gets the difference (2.2 RPC in total)? Is it all going to the big fishes?

But you see, it doesn't matter how many blocks you find in a pool without block finder rewards. You only get credited the amount of RPC proportional to the amount of shares you submit to the pool.

I've been mining solo all day and have not and accept block - no coin.

What you think I can change to accept block? expiry? scan-time?

Here is my bat file:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o 127.0.0.1:9026 -u xxxxt -p x --failover-only --thread-concurrency=32765 -g1 --intensity=16 --expiry 120 --scan-time 25 --queue 2

I too have found many more blocks in pools, however that's sort of the nature of the game regardless of the coin you're mining. I switched to solo for curiosity's sake and was unable to find any blocks after 4-5 hours of 3,000 k/hs, so pool mining it is. I can't speak for the other pool but rpc.muchhash seems to be run fairly/accurately. Solo may be worth it for you, however, if you keep having that sort of luck. Because 5 blocks is pretty dang good for 3 days with a 400 k/hs miner Smiley

I'm happy with http://rpc.muchhash.com. The stats on the number of coins per day displayed in the pool stats seem pretty accurate when compared to the difficulty and hash rate calculation. I am mining with 1,000 kh/s and its a long hard slog to get a coin.

Question on the xfer fees, how do they get appropriated back to the miners? When a block is found and there are transfer fees floating around, do they potentially get 1.02 RPC?

No prob! Now go follow us on twitter and get some free RPC! Wink

Pool should update in 5 min or so. I'd hit "Q" while in the command box if you want to quit so that your fans slow down, etc.

The litecoin mining guide located here is also very valuable and most of the info (save for the pool info) should apply to any scrypt mining (e.g. RonPaulCoin)

If anyone can help me get connected to one of these pools please pm me.

My wallet is connected and updated.

I try to connect to a pool and get this error:

Pool 0 difficulty changed to 32
Pool setup failed

and nothing else, my workers do not show a hashrate.

Thanks!

Are you trying to solo mine or mine at a pool? What are your is your cgminer command?

Thanks.  I'm trying to mine at a pool.

I open cgminer.exe - a cmd box pops up

I enter:

./cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://rpc.muchhash.com:3333 -u myworkerusername -p myworkerpass

then hit enter

then it asks me for my username again, I hit enter
then it asks me for my password again, I hit enter

then I get the error message - or failed message
