I just wish them all the best so that this is going to be a serious team and I guess they are also testing the waters if they can get the TI title for the third time.

It was an easy game for them, at least for the first map. I was not able to watch the second map. There were times Blink was a threat, but OLG was able to weather it. Topson still has his tendency to go too deep in the enemy ranks and too far from his teammates that get free kills for Blink. But he still has a very good performance of 15-13-15. Notail has a decent performance for a guy who was away from the game for a year. They will not find a tough opponent here in the qualifiers but a good warm-up for them until they meet a tougher opponent.
Yeah, I can say that it's too ez for them. As usual, these guys are good to go and likely to go to division 1 too easy. Unlike the other good teams that has a known roster, they're struggling.

In my opinion, I'm not just used to see no one playing pos 1. But I guess that there will be more time for me to see him play well with the team and it'll be a continuous success.

The most remarkable match of the day for me was saw-spirit. Saw team started the match 1-0 ahead due to the upper bracket advantage. Although the first map played was the nuke map chosen by spirit, spirit failed to win. As such, it became difficult for them to win the match. The match was going in the middle, but it was a match lost with simple mistakes for spirit. Spirit had the better roster but they couldn't win the match.

The closest attention getting tournament on CS: GO is IEM Katowice Play-In. However there is still more than one month to go for it to start.

The teams joining the tournament directly are Heroic, Outsiders, G2, Liquid, FaZe, Natus Vincere, MOUZ and Vitality. The last eight teams are going to be decided by Play-In matches. We are talking about a tournament whose prize pool is 1 million dollars. IEMs are already among the most important tournaments of course. We have just left Blast Premier behind and we saw some weaknesses in some big teams as well. This tournament can be considered as another chance to rise for them. They have pretty much time to get prepared well but let's see. Natus Vincere or FaZe should be able to reach the finale this time.

With that odd, well, it's really for fun.

Old G is just a few matches away to be qualified to PGL and division 2. I don't want to say that it's for sure and we don't know if some good opponents from those unknown teams will take them down luckily.

2 games away exactly. At this rate, they have pretty much secured the spot already. They are basically a team that consist of experienced players so nailing the qualifiers are easy for them. Normally, teams from qualifiers get signed by some organization after they secured the spot so I kinda want to know which organization would sign the owner of OG's team lol
Around 30 minutes after my post, the game is about to start.

Haha!

They're already part of an org though, OldG.  Grin

I just wish them all the best so that this is going to be a serious team and I guess they are also testing the waters if they can get the TI title for the third time.

Nice joke. I think this team is just for fun and to get notail up to speed with the new meta. Topson also admits that this is not a serious team since he mentioned the reason he did not join "serious teams" this DPC season. I am just curious how far this team will go.

Most of them are not "too old" to play Dota, hence why they are still crushing it and are still acing almost every game that they play on. Just imagine having TI winners in your team with great strategists like Ceb, N0tail and MSS in one team? Lots of nerding out when it comes to strats and drafts for sure. I honesty enjoy seeing them play and making some weird picks work ina a very conventional Dota match that has most of the meta heroes on the opposing team. Seeing Viper get utilized as a budget Leshrac is also fun too. Made some of my matchmaking games weird but hell, at this rate Old G can compete in some Minors and possibly Manors if they keep the pace.

Oh they are not "old". I think old refers here as the previous team. I just hope they complete the team with ana and jerax so it really would be the old OG.

Thinking of betting Old G just for the sake of fun then I look up at the odds, look what I found lol

I guess this is part of the routine that Im going to find atleast until they start playing on division 2 again huh. Well it just doesnt make any sense to bet on qualifiers games but its Old G though so I thought I might want to bet on them lol

But yeah, it's all about their chance is the highest apart from other teams that's also part of this closed qualifier. The only other team that I might say that's also good on that qualifier is Monaspa.

Even though I know they will not lose, I still want to watch that game just to see if notail is going to be back to his old competitive self after the long break that he has.

You are right, it does not make sense to bet on qualifiers, especially if the odds would be like this. Old G is just too heavy a favorite at this point. But if I am going to watch it anyway, I better put some money in it.

We watched the g2-liquid match in the Blast premier world final match. The winner of the match was g2. Liquid could not show any presence. Especially their talented player yekindar was very ineffective in this match. On the other hand, g2 was the better team and they knew how to win. They definitely practiced well. In this way, after a long time, we had a good match.
They have achieved success. Congratulations to both teams. It was a good final match.

The match could have been better if Team Liquid have shown any resistance. They cannot even dominate the map they pick. Mirage is their best map, and they never lose in it. But in the Finals, G2 clearly dominated them in both the T and CT sides. G2 is clearly the better team in this tournament. They had a rough year but they ended it with a bang. Monesy deserve the MVP award with the clutches he made throughout the tournament.

NiKo and huNter were impressive today with really solid clutches. I'm feeling good for NiKo because there was some drop in his performance recently.

You can add jks to that list. He has performed really well, and he is a good addition to G2 this year. He got his own highlights and deserves recognition as well.

G2 did not disappoint my trust this time. As a team, they played two very effective maps. Everyone on the team did their part. M0nesy was chosen as the MVP of this tournament, this kid will be chosen MVP many more in the future. A super career has already been built. There were no players under 1-kd in the final match, which is a great achievement in G2. Inferno, Mirage maps were my favorite maps, they were enjoyable matches.

I think this finale in the Blast Premier should have been different. I would have expected to see a different team than Liquid against G2. But Natus Vincere's weakness helped Liquid eliminate one of their toughest opponents in the tournament. OG wasn't as serious target as Natus Vincere I think and they showed it to us by a good performance.

I was expecting a clear victory by G2 in the finale anyway. After defeating top teams in the previous stages we have all seen how determined they were. Liquid still had weaknesses. YEKINDAR's performance was playing a huge role in their team effort as well. And he was horrible today. Despite his being one of the top fraggers of the team he was able to get only 10 and 11 kills on those maps respectively. G2 played decently as a team and deserved that 2-0 victory.

NiKo and huNter were impressive today with really solid clutches. I'm feeling good for NiKo because there was some drop in his performance recently.

They're on fire but Team Liquid takes game 2 and game 3. Well done for what you rooted for, they've won and they're now in the grand finals against the G2 Esports.

What are your thoughts about this grand finals?

In the group stages, G2 Esports did better than Team Liquid but, Team Liquid did it through the hard way in the losers bracket up to the grand finals.

G2 is on fire right now. They have beaten the best teams this year, so I guess I have to back them up in the finals. It is not easy to beat Faze, Vitality, and Outsiders but they did. Monesy is on point this tournament as well as hunter and Hooxi. Team Liquid is having a hard time and every win is a struggle. They even lose their map pick today against OG. It is a good thing they were able to recover in Inferno and Anubis.
They really were on fire and I've seen their grand finals match. That was a really good game from them, the boy wonder monesy won the MVP.

I thought that it was going to be a straight wins for Team Liquid but no. My friend was lucky that he has bet for G2 with around $4k, that's like a YOLO to him but that feels good.

Looks like someone's going to have a happy Christmas. Congrats G2 Esports! a sweet $500k prize.

In G2 vs Liquid, it'd be hard to say who's got the upper hand. I for one will just go Liquid +1.5 and Liquid win to support this team even further. Even though m0nesy is stepping up and slowly trying to creep back to his superstar era with his amazing plays, it's not a 1v5 game as it's still team play that reigns supreme in this game. OSee vs m0nesy will be a great duel of the awpers that's for sure.

I thought Liquid can still carry the momentum they've picked up from yesterday's match, but G2 seemed impenetrable in the last 2 maps. Props to their defenses and their strategies on taking sites over. Liquid is no match to how G2 played Inferno, and even though Mirage was somehow close, G2 still managed to get the upper hand and destroy Liquid with some of their force buys. M0nesy played really well, and jks supported everyone like a champ and took fights like an unkillable warrior. I lost both my bets, but I enjoyed watching a great CS.

Congratulations to G2 for winning the Blast Premier World Final 2022.

It is total domination by G2 in both maps. As I have predicted, G2 is totally in point in this tournament and Team Liquid is quite shaky. I thought team Liquid will be able to come back and force a third map when they tied the score in the second round of Mirage but Monesy, jks and hunter took over and won the map.

G2 redeem themselves this tournament after a year of struggle. They deserve this win.

OG takes map 1.

Map 2, Liquid is on the lead. Score is 7-5. Liquid is playing it safe, they lose this game and they're already out.

Good luck to those folks that has bets on this match, I've missed it. I think that we'll see a map 3 on this match.

OG seems to be on fire rn. Liquid did okay taking the lead kn the ct side in inferno map 2. The thing is, on their previous matches against other teams, they seem to struggle finding their flow in the T-side of the map. There are tons of miracles that they need in order to win on this map and possibly in the semis. I'm rooting for Liquid just to see Elige again in the finals against G2, my other bet.

Both teams I picked ended up winning, even though I just slept through the tournament  Cheesy Liquid's entries and retakes have been nothing but amazing very recently compared to what they did in the Fall Finals. Elige has been very instrumental in all of those trade engagements; NAF has been very great in entries; OSee is slowly proving himself to be one of the best AWPers of this era; Yekindar popping off and stepping up on clutch scenarios and preventing most eco saves to happen and of course, nitr0 proving that he's a capable IGL after all.

In G2 vs Liquid, it'd be hard to say who's got the upper hand. I for one will just go Liquid +1.5 and Liquid win to support this team even further. In the other semifinal match of the Blast tournament, we watched G2 vs Faze. G2 seems to have settled some things in the team. It seemed to me that they are no longer the same as before. Everyone in the team started to contribute as a frag. You shouldn't expect anything from Hooxi anyway. Since he is an igl, he is not expected to get much frag. Just like with karrigan. Other players played better and won the match and reached the final. We will watch G2-Liquid match in the final. It is sure to be a tough match for both teams. I think all 3 maps will be played. I'm not sure who will win, but Liquid seems to be one step ahead.
