There is a possibility that Reso will leave team Secret and will go to Old G to join Ceb and Topson. Here is the link of the detail.

https://dotesports.com/dota-2/news/resolut1on-could-leave-team-secret-for-old-g-in-huge-dota-2-roster-shuffle

Pretty good decision if he ended up leaving. There is no point on staying with Secret any longer as they will be playing in division 2 so he might as well want to take his chances with the Old G instead.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think OLD G was not even qualified for Division 2. So, Reso is actually going a step down in division. But he is joining Ceb and Topson. And maybe this time they will be more serious since NoTail is stepping down as well from OLD G since he said he is still not ready to go back to the serious grind for Professional DOTA. Who knows why Reso is leaving Team Secret but it is obviously not an upgrade to go to OLD G. I think Secret is still in a better choice if you are thinking professionally.

Another week of no tier 1 dota to bet on so I'll wait until the DPC season starts again. I dont think that there is any site that allow outright bet on DPC but if there is then Im going with Team Liquid to win the next DPC as well but provided if Boxi is fit enough to play for the team. The current Liquid roster is the best I've seen so far

They never banned it for the entire series, for three games. It's crazy to think that Team Liquid never banned it when the first game Lina had already given them a problem. Even it's jabbz that played for pos 5 and insania for pos 4, the adjustment was quite hard on them but it's too obvious for them to just ban comfort heroes of GG. They all knew how good this team was even before the other tournaments. On the game 3, it's funny that the whole Team Liquid was just laughing with what they're doing, that's already a sign that they accept defeat.

The problem is not the hero but how Nisha is dominated by Quinn in all of their game. GG will just use a different hero if they will ban Lina and it's very easy to counter Lina if it doesn't have a good laning phase which he always has since the rotation doesn't help Nisha at all compared to when Boxi does it to support Nisha. I think the gameplay is purely relying to Boxi when they are facing strong team. They just manage to beat Talon because they are ahead in skills individually which is why they are strong on laning phase. GG deserves it because they always have a flawless team fights. RIP to those who bet an outright bet for Team Liquid as wnner.

They also failed to make meaningful rotations in GG's jungle. Watching the replays of Liquid with boxi playing, I can see that he's actively seeking whether there are camps stacked already, and if there is, Nisha will then position himself to move towards that stack and try to force rotations in there and make plays. Insania will then tp to where that stack is, leaving the carry to hug the tower or clear the wave then move to the jungle until the next wave appears. It has always been like this, but with boxi's absence Liquid has become passive. Doesn't matter if Quinn is owning Nisha or not; their early lead advantage is generated from knowing where to move the fights and how to give space to their carry.

This is the Lina Major, not the Lima Major, but congrats to GG for winning it, although I'm not sure a lot of people enjoyed watching it apart from those bettors who just won their bets Cheesy

I do not know why Team Liquid won't ban Lina. It is obvious that after 2 maps, they are owned by Lina. Is it pride that keeps them from banning it? I do not see any other reason.

As hard as Lina hits this patch, she's also a pretty squishy hero that can't really solo in the early laning phase. See what heroes they are picking for boxi and zai? Mostly aggressive heroes that can dominate the lane. Where they fail is execution, and I think it's to be understood considering that jabbz isn't really made for professional dota games. They are hoping that they can close in on the Lina, a ticking time bomb, before it explodes. What they fail to account for was there are four other heroes in the map that does the same (and even better, that nasty Io - WD tandem) for them. Micke has survived the ordeals of those stupidly efficient offlane that GG has been throwing, but it isn't enough especially if all the cores and supports of GG has items.

We watched movistar riders-BIG for the last slot in esl group b matches. Movistar riders won and played better as a team. This made them the last team to get a quarterfinal spot. Krimbo's outstanding play was not enough for his team to win. K1to and hyped played really badly in this match and I think they played a big part in the team's defeat. When they both stayed at 30-odd kills, it was like the team was always playing with 1-2 people missing. As such, movistar riders, who played better team play, won the match.

What do you think will happen to team Secret? After Nisha left, they are significantly weaker. And now Reso is already at the door about to leave. Will we see them in Ti this year?
Those sources seem legit and I can see Ceb having no issues switching to the support role since he performed well when he stood in for OG last year.

Right now their chances to qualify in TI are very low knowing that the EU region is too stacked, even with GG and Team Liquid out of the picture there are like 4 or more teams that can easily take over the qualifiers. If most of the top teams in Division 1 can earn enough points to directly qualify then they may have a chance but even then I wouldn't get my hopes up.

People are forgetting that GG is certainly a strong team, I've come to realize that just after they've won the Lima major. I've forgotten that they also dominated other tournaments when the DPC season started. You're right, that boxi's absence really is a big hit for their team. It will be an entirely different story if boxi was there. And talking about Talon, they're also a strong team but SEA teams still lacks a lot of experience unlike them. Anyway, gg to Team Liquid and congratulations to GG.

They are just enjoying the moment. You can see it in their faces. That is the best round of the finals. Team Liquid was able to make some good plays and at some point I thought they could bag that round even when the lead is so big.
Yeah, they're enjoying those last moments because it became 2-0 in favor of GG and they have already understood that they can't beat team without boxi. Still, great that jabbz was there to substitute for boxi as that's a time for Team Liquid that they need someone to replace him temporarily.

Nisha will not be easily overpowered by Quinn if Boxi was there. Another problem is Jabbz has a limited hero pool.  Though they made an adjustment for the Finals, it is not enough. They cannot just adjust game plays that instant.

Game 1 for the grand finals ended and it was taken by GG. I thought that Liquid will still be able to win that first match but it's noticeable that without boxi, they've got a different playstyle. In the first minutes of the game, it seems that Liquid is playing trash and is like the thrower of the game.
But then, it's just game 1 and there are few games left to see if they've learned from this match. Lina pick again that has lost against NP, they just like giving away lina and don't want to ban it.

Once GG has its hands on Lina, it is an automatic win for them. Team Liquid should ban Lina in the first round because Gaimin Gladiators will have the upper hand once they got a hold of her.

Nisha needs to step up too and force Quinn to make mistakes. Quinn is playing perfectly and has control over Nisha. This is more evident in game two where the map finished too early.

Maybe the result will be different if Boxi is playing but right now, Gaimin Gladiator is head and shoulder above team Liquid. Let's see if it will change in the 3rd map.

Finally, a DOTA 2 event that I profited from. Smooth performance by Team Liquid before Boxi got sick. Hoping for a fast recovery on Boxi as Liquid seems unbeatable with him. Nonetheless, GG did it well and never gave Liquid the kind of momentum needed.

And as for SEA? I am happy Talon went 3rd and I was lucky enough to stay away from betting against them. Probably the highest SEA achievement since the pandemic. Talon was only 3rd in SEA and barely made it at Lima so hopefully, the region is inspired and do well in the next majors.

What's up with CS? Any good tournament to follow?

ESL Pro League Season 17 is still ongoing, there were already quite a lot of nice matches played in the last few weeks. This week group C is starting, with mostly one sided games. On Wednesday there will be paiN vs NiP, which should be an easy match for NiP to win. The second match will be Rooster vs FaZe, I have never seen Rooster play before and I don't think we can even bet on the match. There is no chance for them to win against FaZe. Third match is OG vs 00Nation, which should be an easy win for OG. And the last match is Grayhound vs Vitality, which should be won by Vitality without troubles. All of these matches are extremely one sided and don't give much profit. The more interesting games of group C are going to come on the weekend.

I do not know why Team Liquid won't ban Lina. It is obvious that after 2 maps, they are owned by Lina. Is it pride that keeps them from banning it? I do not see any other reason.

Anyway, congratulations to Gaimin Gladiator for winning the Lima Major. It is quite boring since they dominated team Liquid in all 3 matches, but I guess that is what we get if one team is missing an original player.
We can't take anything away from GG, they destroyed Liquid, maybe in some part because they were missing Boxi but that same Liquid had no problems against Talon.

You can't ban everything against GG and Liquid decided to let Lina trough. Did not work out, but it didn't work out for them when they let Disco Pony trough the other day as well. Too many heroes in this meta that are overpowered and you have to let some of them trough.

The meta and the patch is stagnant, and I can't wait for the next 2 days before the patch drops.
Thankfully, the meta made the betting experience slightly predictable but yeah it's about time we get a major patch.  Cheesy

I also had a bet on GG but that series was so one-sided and it wasn't entertaining at all when it's just GG winning most of the team fights.

Damn that's good odds. I personally would skip the overall winner phase and let the first game slide before I bet into each different game.

Yeah odds was good but whats the point if Team Liquid is dominated by GG for all 3 maps lol. At this rate, I dont think there is a way out on the 3rd map either so its just a matter of time before GG close this with 3-0. Kinda foresee this to happen but odds was just too good to skip. Overall making decent amount of profit throughout the Major so no complaint from me

Just in, GG defeated Liquid 3-0. Again, I didn't enjoy every bit of watching the tournament although I won something on GG on the second game. The meta and the patch is stagnant, and I can't wait for the next 2 days before the patch drops. Dyrachyo didn't do anything spectacular, just build stacks, farm, and aim enemy heroes. The Io + WD tandem is also disgusting, to the point that I think they need to add an item or a skill that slows down the rate of healing apart from getting it from Skadi. There really is a lot of boring yet working metas that this current patch has, and GG abused it perfectly all throughout the tournament.

Not really enjoying GG's draft honestly, but it works all the time and Team Liquid doesn't seem to have an answer on these Lina. They are really forcing the issue by giving this hero to dyrachyo and not rotating or securing enemy triangle to prevent the insta farm from happening. The way I see it, GG is the Tundra of this patch: boring meta, but it obviously works. I guess I finally agree to a lot of pros and streamers saying that this patch is extremely boring. Well at one point, it's also Liquid's fault because they believe that they can counter the Lina, similar to PSG.LGD's stubborness on a lot of TIs thinking that they can defeat their opponents' heroes that are currently meta back then.

In the last match of the day BIG-Movistar Riders took on BIG-Movistar Riders. The first map was vertigo, chosen by movistar riders. Krimbo gave an extra performance to win this map for his team and put BIG 1-0 ahead. The second map was Nuke, chosen by BIG. Movistar Riders won this map with a good game as a team and equalized the situation. The winner of the match was left to the decider map. In this map, BIG is the better side according to the stats.
