Damn that's good odds. I personally would skip the overall winner phase and let the first game slide before I bet into each different game.

Yeah odds was good but whats the point if Team Liquid is dominated by GG for all 3 maps lol. At this rate, I dont think there is a way out on the 3rd map either so its just a matter of time before GG close this with 3-0. Kinda foresee this to happen but odds was just too good to skip. Overall making decent amount of profit throughout the Major so no complaint from me

Just in, GG defeated Liquid 3-0. Again, I didn't enjoy every bit of watching the tournament although I won something on GG on the second game. The meta and the patch is stagnant, and I can't wait for the next 2 days before the patch drops. Dyrachyo didn't do anything spectacular, just build stacks, farm, and aim enemy heroes. The Io + WD tandem is also disgusting, to the point that I think they need to add an item or a skill that slows down the rate of healing apart from getting it from Skadi. There really is a lot of boring yet working metas that this current patch has, and GG abused it perfectly all throughout the tournament.

This is the Lina Major, not the Lima Major, but congrats to GG for winning it, although I'm not sure a lot of people enjoyed watching it apart from those bettors who just won their bets Cheesy

Not really enjoying GG's draft honestly, but it works all the time and Team Liquid doesn't seem to have an answer on these Lina. They are really forcing the issue by giving this hero to dyrachyo and not rotating or securing enemy triangle to prevent the insta farm from happening. The way I see it, GG is the Tundra of this patch: boring meta, but it obviously works. I guess I finally agree to a lot of pros and streamers saying that this patch is extremely boring. Well at one point, it's also Liquid's fault because they believe that they can counter the Lina, similar to PSG.LGD's stubborness on a lot of TIs thinking that they can defeat their opponents' heroes that are currently meta back then.

Game 1 for the grand finals ended and it was taken by GG. I thought that Liquid will still be able to win that first match but it's noticeable that without boxi, they've got a different playstyle. In the first minutes of the game, it seems that Liquid is playing trash and is like the thrower of the game.
But then, it's just game 1 and there are few games left to see if they've learned from this match. Lina pick again that has lost against NP, they just like giving away lina and don't want to ban it.

Once GG has its hands on Lina, it is an automatic win for them. Team Liquid should ban Lina in the first round because Gaimin Gladiators will have the upper hand once they got a hold of her.

Nisha needs to step up too and force Quinn to make mistakes. Quinn is playing perfectly and has control over Nisha. This is more evident in game two where the map finished too early.

Maybe the result will be different if Boxi is playing but right now, Gaimin Gladiator is head and shoulder above team Liquid. Let's see if it will change in the 3rd map.

In the last match of the day BIG-Movistar Riders took on BIG-Movistar Riders. The first map was vertigo, chosen by movistar riders. Krimbo gave an extra performance to win this map for his team and put BIG 1-0 ahead. The second map was Nuke, chosen by BIG. Movistar Riders won this map with a good game as a team and equalized the situation. The winner of the match was left to the decider map. In this map, BIG is the better side according to the stats.

Talon failed to defeat incomplete Liquid.

You know what, the odds for Team Liquid to win was 2.6 and Talon was 1.45 prematch. I thought that this is too good to be true considering that GG wiped them out 2 maps and there isnt any benefit in betting on Talon for 1.45 so I skipped that. Besides that I was sure that its either 2- for either of those team so yeah skipped that for good

Anyway, still not convince with Team Liquid but hey its bo5 so Im willing to take my chances with Liquid again just because I got a good odds on this one

Damn that's good odds. I personally would skip the overall winner phase and let the first game slide before I bet into each different game. Them winning against Talon isn't clutch or a fluke, they really played well and deserve to be in the finals. We know that Boxi's aggressiveness and playmaking abilities as pos 4 is really great, but Jabbz is out here showing us that he can fill that position in and be beneficial to the team. It also helps that the original 4 players adapted to Jabbz's playstyle: they walked in order for Jabbz to run, which is great considering that their analyst is an 8k mmr player while the rest of them are 10k above and are used to high pressure, fast-paced games.

Good luck to our bets. Rooting for Team Liquid to win and hopefully they don't pick late game heroes against objective-centric enemies.

Grand finals for the Lima majors!

I've seen comments about boxi being out for Team Liquid due to health condition, those comments are telling that no boxi, there's no win.

But it seems that Jabbz(substitute, Team Liquid's analyst) is doing his thing in here and he won't be hired as their analyst if he's not good as a player.

Well, good luck to whoever wins this grand finals, Gaiming Gladiators versus Team Liquid. The game 1 has just started, this is a best of 5 series.

Heroic beat mouz in the important match of the day. I thought it was going to be tough for Heroic, but I thought Heroic would be the winner and they were. Both maps ended with close scores. They play really well as a team and there are few teams that can beat them. Heroic is one of the teams that do team play the best. Cadian has really excelled both as igl and awper.

After watching Liquid play without Boxi yesterday I don't think they have what it takes to win against Talon. This is the best 3 teams left in the tournament and playing without one member is costly. It is not so much that his replacement is bad it is just that he isn't Boxi and can't even do 30% of rotations and plays Boxi was doing. I don't see Liquid taking even one map unless they manage to out draft Talon by a lot and have easy to execute draft at the same time.

I do not know if Talon underestimated team Liquid because Boxi is not playing but they lost the first map. They have out laned Jabbi early but they forget to account that 4 of team Liquid's players are still very good and can carry their analyst. In the end, they lost badly to Team Liquid on the first map. I feel like team Liquid can win this series against Talon but maybe it will go to the third map.

Anyway, I think GG will win this tournament. Team Liquid is incomplete, and GG already beat them yesterday. Talon is already tired. They have two matches yesterday and have to play early against Liquid. It does not matter who wins the Lower Bracket Finals, GG will destroy them in the Finals.

Talon failed to defeat incomplete Liquid. I think Jabbz already adjusted unlike his game when they play against GG or maybe Talon is just way weaker than GG which Liquid can beat them without the need of a good pos 4.

Either way, The rematch between GG and Liquid will be exciting because Liquid might get a revenge since GG is always choking on finals despite they have a strong start on the upper bracket journey.

I will bet Liquid to win on this rematch. I’m sensing that the original 4 players already adapt with Jabbz style.

I think Liquid has better chances to defeat GG right now, but they still have to be careful on giving up Brood or NP to GG because those guys have mastered the divide and conquer aspect of Dota for so long that it seems second nature to them right now. Since their analyst is already in their side, they have to make use of his knowledge to not pick heroes that are for long dragged games into heroes that are designed for early objectives. That's what they did yesterday against GG and it certainly didn't work. High tempo heroes and you're picking Morphling/Zeus into them? Certainly not the best pick, but they still did it and it what costed them that first game and it all crumbled from there.

Hopefully you're right, that Jabbz adapted to how GG plays. Boxi and zai are insanely active and aggressive on the offlane side of things, but zai kinda adjusted to Jabbz's reserved play style that doesn't want aggressiveness and just wants to take some early resources and levels before rotating.

EDIT: some words

In the first match of the day, we watched Complexity-BIG. First of all, I have to say that it was a match that both teams were very close to winning. But the BIG team was the winner. When both teams lost the maps they chose with small differences, it was left to the decider map. On the decider map, BIG won the match with an important comeback. BIG played better as a team. Although 2 people came forward in Complexity, it was not enough for them to win the match.

Talon is continuing their win streak after beating TS and I think there’s a high chance that they can 2-0 Entity now if they continue having that kind of draft. 23Savage is unstoppable by using Sunder in creative way just to prolong the team fight.
They are still battling on map 2 but this one will be a clean sweep for Talon. Don't think TB has a chance against such a big burst that Talon has. TA and Zeus both on top of the network have more than enough damage to dispatch anybody.

Keeping my fingers crossed Liquid manages to keep the streak even with stand in. Hate it that there is no cash back on Sportsbet when we have eSports on the ticket.

Boxi is a good Pos 4 and we don’t know how the heck Jabbz play. But one thing is for sure that Micke and Nisha are monster on this league. They can beat the shit out of GG with the right draft for them.

I will still go for Liquid even without Boxi if there core will play the same since pos 4 can be compensated with a strong laning phase which Nisha is good in Midlane. They will find a way to win this match. Does this match belongs to a parlay bet of yours? This will surely gonna be sting in case Jabbz doesn’t full fill his role even on an average pos 4.

In this first game, I'm liking the draft of GG even more. They got a lot of setups that can convert into kills and Io with CK or Lesh is just crazy since you can run down literally any opponents (in this case almost ALL of Liquid) once you got Bloodstone on your Lesh. Just hope that Micke and Nisha gets a good laning stage in order to not get that scenario that I mentioned above. GG's draft is good for taking early objectives whereas Team Liquid relies on dragging the game as much as they can in order to win the match.

Liquid is obviously outdrafted on both games due Jabbz hero pool. I can't blame him because it's very hard to fill Boxi role in short notice while Boxi plays a very aggressive game that creates space for his team through his rotation while Jabba play the traditional pos 4. I definitely don't see him around on clash and he keeps leaving his carry just to save his own life unlike Boxi that will do anything to save his carry.

I thought everything will be fine for Loquid but I guess they are so easy to read once there's no Boxi because Nisha can't beat Quinn without a good rotation coming from Jabbz. I think Talon can beat Liquid at this level of gameplay.

Not the same though. They have this Major locked in if Boxi is healthy. It is just different when someone in your lineup is suddenly replaced. But they have no choice, they have to prioritize Boxi's health. The effect of Boxi not playing is very evident against GG. Gaimin Gladiators walked easily on them on both maps.
Yup, it seems likely for them to finish third place after that one-sided performance from GG and my outright bet might not hit as the bookies currently have them as the underdog against Talon.

Atm, I want to double dip on Team Liquid given their odds are sitting at around 2.70 - 2.80 between different bookies but i'll just let my outright bet play out for now and maybe wait for the draft.

Three matches on EPL S17 for tonight. No clear favourites here so it should be fun. I'm betting on Complexity, BIG, and SAW.
Uhh bad picks, 1/3 correct. The COL vs IMP got really close. The third map even went to triple overtime. In the end, COL took the win despite losing the first map 1-16. There were some crazy highlights: JT 1v4 clutch the first overtime when they were down 17-18 against Imperial's match point on an elimination match. Insane clutch.

I'm placing a simple parlay on the favourites again for today's matches.

BIG continues on its way by winning one and losing one. Furia, some players got extra frags and they won the match. BIG can get better when the new changes fit right in. They have a game against Complexity tomorrow. They had previously beaten 2-1. I haven't checked the odds yet, which is a bit more likely to win this match. Sunday's other match will be between Mouz and Heroic. This match should not be too difficult for Heroic.
Agree, Heroic is easily the favourite to win Group B.

It seems Team Liquid is not the same monster on this Major with their full lineup but they did make it to top 3 though so even if they ended up losing the next one as well then atleast it is guaranteed that they are going to walk away with some DPC points

Talon vs Shopify Rebellion has just begun. I am taking some action on this series. It will be a close match so I am betting it will take 3 maps to know the winner of this series. Both teams are good and it will be a toss between the two who will win. But I am going to SR to take this series.
