Those that are eyeing for Team Liquid, we're all thinking the same guys. It seems that Team Liquid is going to be the champ of this Lima major but still too many things can change.
Hopefully, it goes smoothly for them as I have an outright bet on Team Liquid making it to the finals.  Wink
Less than a day that we have to wait until their match starts against the Shopify Rebellion (Former EG).

They were out drafted in the first map. EG banned almost all the best heroes of K1. On the second map, I think Beastcoast drafted well but still, EG is way better than them. Beastcoast is now eliminated from the game. EG will move on to face Aster next round in the Lower Bracket.
That aghanims shard, I think if BC's magnus took that there can be a lot of good plays that might turn the game against EG. But yeah, that's it the game ended in favor of EG and moving on the next bracket.

EG is the better team today.

Next game will be PSG.LGD vs Team Spirit. I was expecting these teams to be the favorite but one of them will have to go home after this series. I think Team Spirit is a better team but we cannot deny how dangerous PSG.LGD can still be. Another exciting game coming up.
When ame and faith_bian retires, LGD is no longer the same but still they're a favorite team but then yeah, someone has to go home.

Just a few minutes until the game starts.

EG with the lead after map one. I felt like Beastcoast drafted a bit out of their comfort zone here, not used to seeing Dark Mago on Lesh but I am not following them that closely so I could be wrong.

As for Dark Mago, I think this is his comfort hero. Game 1 didn't really go well for beast coast as Dark Mago's ember was totally bullied by C smile.
The 2nd game is ongoing and it's on 20 minutes mark I like C Smile's rotation and almost controlled the map but then, beastcoast's counter with bloodseeker on K1. If we'll talk about the late game in this match, the bear of Pakasz will be having a stronger chance of odds of winning the game. Both teams got good disablers and with a mark of mid-game, it's more now of a team clash and I'm liking what I'm watching now.
Beastcoast got magnus and treant for massive disable while for EG they've got blackhole only.

Tundra just got eliminated from the LIMA Major.

Aster. after a poor performance yesterday against Gaimin Gladiators, was able to hold their ground in the lower bracket against Tundra, the defending TI champion. It is a full series, going to the 3rd map. Funny, that a Monkey King was in position 4 in this match but was actually looked like the one carrying Tundra. Ultimately, the double carry line up of Aster, TA and Drow, was able to carry the team to a win. They will move forward and will face the winner between EG and Beastcoast.

Tundra is now exiting the Lima Major as #9 in the tournament. They will not bag any cash money or DPC points. I think Tundra is still very strong, but this is not their patch. Hopefully, in the next Major, the patch will be more favorable to them.
Third game was really close and I felt like Tundra had it in the beginning they lost it mostly due to few unfortunate events around Roshan and of course Aster getting double damage runes all the time Smiley That Monkey King in position 4 was the star of the match but later on when Drow got all the items it was simply impossible to defend against that much damage.

EG with the lead after map one. I felt like Beastcoast drafted a bit out of their comfort zone here, not used to seeing Dark Mago on Lesh but I am not following them that closely so I could be wrong.

Still about Dota 2 for this news. I'm sure many of you guys are aware of BTS Pro Series' and how many seasons were there from this tournament. Just to inform you guys that the organizer/production company, BTS(BeyondTheSummit) has ceased its operations. This is actually a bad news, with few production companies like them that have been in esports for 11 years, it's sad to see them go. No longer showcasing talents from small teams and aspiring players through their tournaments like the known BTS PRO Series.
News: Beyond The Summit Shuts Operations After 11 Years of Shaping Esports

Valve decided to let them go IIRC. Their viewership isn't that great compared to the past years of them airing and hosting tournaments. From a business standpoint, I somehow agree with this decision. There's a lot of talents in there during tournament proper, and aside from that they are also responsible for the prize pool. They've gone under, and at this point it's best to leave the scene and move on.
It's just so sad to see them go, they've contributed a lot to the scene and that's why it's heartbreaking. I even saw their production having a sponsor like Coinbase and that made me feel great as someone who's in crypto and at the same time in esports as well. Anyway, that's it and yeah, it's still a business and that decision is for the betterment of the path they'll be taking.
Going back to Lima, Tundra is out after being beaten by Team Aster.

In the Mouz-Saw match, Mouz was the winner. Mouz showed us a beautiful game. SAW couldn't even exist on vertigo, the map of his choice. I was expecting Mouz to win, but I didn't expect it to end in such a crushing way. The interesting part is that Mouz won with more difficulty on the map of his choice.
In my last match of the day, we are watching the Brazilian derby. In the Furia-Imperial match, furia took a 1-0 lead on the map chosen by imperial.

Nothing extraordinary here, most of it are betting on the favourites to win

Damn, lost this acca straight right off the bat because Tundra lost. Guess they wasnt really the powerhouse anymore this season and it seems the classic old bet of over 2.5 maps is going to be happening on most of the remaining games on lower bracket. Well I got a new ticket, ended up taking single bet on Team Spirit vs PSG.LGD for over 2.5 maps

Esl pro league group b matches started today. The first match of the day was played between heroic and Movistar riders. As I mentioned before, heroic is the favorite of this group, so I don't think they will lose the match. They knew how to win this match without much difficulty.
In the second match of the day, we watched the big-complexity match. Big's young awper, hyped, was the name that put his team on his back. Complexity didn't play badly and could have even won the match, but their luck was not with them.

Totally aware of this but Entity always seems to have different playing style compared to the rest of the WEU bunch so yeah Im hoping that they'll pull through this. Anyway GG won the 1st map so good chances that they are going to win and pretty sure that Team Liquid is definitelyn not going to ruin your acca by losing to Talon though
Looks like you're on point with Entity as they controlled the pace on both maps from start to finish and EG can't do anything to turn the lead around.

Watching Entity deal with EG's Riki was fun though, while all hope is lost for them he's just consistently sniping couriers near the dire base and they're struggling to pick him off after dropping several ultimate skills.

Yeah and I was on point with my acca. Ended up winning all of them and tbh it was wrecking my nerves on the 3rd map between SR and Team Spirit but glad that it worked out for me. I guess im lucky with this major so trying a new one today for the lower bracket

Nothing extraordinary here, most of it are betting on the favourites to win except for Team Spirit vs PSG.LGD as I think that this is an over map game for sure though

Miscommunication drove EG away from that possible Game 2 victory. Naga pressing ult when DP has her ulti on is an awful mistake. They don't have any counter on that DP unless they got the initiation first, but most of the time they need Naga to be in the front lines pressing Song before Enigma can jump. Unfortunate that it never happened on crucial fights, but Entity played so well on that game 2 regardless.

2 Chinese teams are already surely out for the Dota 2 Lima major's group stages.
For group A --> Ehome
For group B --> Knights

Not much expectation from these two teams anyway. What I do not expect is Tundra, the defending TI champion, dropping into the 6th spot. And they can be eliminated if either TSM or Execration can sweep their next matches. TSM is against EG while Execration will be against team Spirit tomorrow. They are against strong teams but they can at least get a draw which will put them into a tiebreaker against Tundra. One fatal mistake and Tundra can be out of the tournament.
Well, Tundra is on the lower bracket and as Team Aster is the first team to go down to the lower bracket then they'll be against each other. So, it's gonna be Tundra vs. Team Aster.

And the second game's series has started and its first game was done and it took quite a while until its finish due to some minor issue but still it ended up a win for Entity against EG.

Those that are eyeing for Team Liquid, we're all thinking the same guys. It seems that Team Liquid is going to be the champ of this Lima major but still too many things can change.

Anyway, lets spice things up for the upper bracket. Im going for 4 way accas for the upper bracket. Taking up some upset like SR to win over Team Spirit and Team Liquid to win 2 maps against Talon which is pretty good in group stage either. As for the other two, going with the favourite to win the game so nothing too wild there
Your multi looks solid for the most part, if there's a team that could ruin your bet it'll probably be Entity because EG went 4-0 against the EU teams (GG and Tundra) during the group stage.

I'm playing it safe with Gladiators and Team Liquid @1.7 since i'm not that confident to include any of the teams that will be playing in the other series. BOL to our bets  Smiley

Agree with Liquid and Gladiators with note that Liquid should be able to pull 2:0 while I expect Aster to make at least one map very competitive and maybe take it in the end.

Other two games just scream over 2.5 maps to me and that is my pick. No fuss, don't care who wins deciders let them just play full 3 maps. Like those over picks and I can actually save some time on watching just by watching map 2 of the games Smiley

There isn't one clear favorite to either groups, plus those teams that you think will do well doesn't seem to be doing anything relevant either.

Team Liquid is by far the heavy favourite to win this Major though. They are much better compared to all the leftover teams so yeah

Continuation of ESL pro league matches on Wednesday. The BIG - Complexity match intrigues me. Both teams are at an equal level, both in terms of odds and games. Complexity seems to be doing better as they had good wins in the RMR qualifiers. It doesn't look like the squad is still in BIG, there have been a lot of trials, and it still doesn't seem like it's fully lined up. I think it'll gain complexity, maybe even win two maps so they don't have to play the decider.

The Lima Majors seem to be very chaotic. There isn't one clear favorite to either groups, plus those teams that you think will do well doesn't seem to be doing anything relevant either. Everything is chaotic and I love it. Makes betting even more exciting because you don't really anticipate anyone winning by a mile, just that most will usually end up in do or die games. I like what Liquid is doing, but to me they aren't that far ahead against other teams in their brackets but we'll see in the playoffs.
