Their chase on the bottom without a black hole is hilarious. What the fracas is with the OG draft? seriously?
Their draft heavily relied on snowballing in the early game, that's why they had to make some moves, but it backfired. Drafts with TA haven't been that great and might be a good indicator to bet against as she's one of the most picked heroes but only has a 29% win rate.

On the bright side, they bounced back in the second game with the same draft (Slark, Windranger, and Enigma) they used against Entity yesterday.

TA on this patch is no longer like TA on the previous one. It relies heavily on farming and getting as much space in the map as possible to flash farm in either a Desolator or a Dagger, not unlike before that she can join fights even with a treads and a Dragon Lance so long as they have the means to disable or to catch the opponents. I think it's a good change though, because the dynamics of the game changes and the meta shifts, so those who can really keep up with the wonkiness of the patch will be the ones who will come out at top. OG isn't as good as they are before, because their aggressiveness is oftentimes rewarded with a lot of negative swings on the net worth in favor of the enemy.

Watching OG now in a big tournament makes me think, why they are still competing at the Division 1 level. They look like a Division 3 team against XG.

This is an accurate representation of what Nigma fans used to feel when they watched Nigma played back then. Some teams are falling apart for sure especially those huge name like Nigma, Team Secret, Alliance and even now OG and fans are not really used to watch these top teams falling apart on international stage like this so yeah

Betboom against Liquid tomorrow, this is going to be huge. Im personally betting on BB to win, waiting for better odds tomorrow

This is correct since they have DK, They are actually having a good start until BZM started to giveaway free kills on the mid many times by disrespecting meepo capability to hold and burst him down despite his tanky hero. It's very hard to counter Meepo late game without bursting it because of the digging skill from shard that is so OP to cover meepo.

I didn't watch the game anymore because I'm already upset about their performance. I'm so happy that they manage to get 1 game to make my over +1.5 for them to win. I just read my comment that is full of bias due to my losing bets. Haha

Just to give an update, four teams have already said their goodbye that early to the Riyadh Masters. And these are the teams:
Beastcoast should've been one of the few teams that advanced, but their form isn't the same as it used to be. Entity was a bit promising after the first day, but they're unlucky to face OG over Beastcoast in the deciders.
I agree.

I was expecting that these two teams will stay further on Riyadh but they're not in the best form. Like for beastcoast, I thought that they'll have the same performance as what they've got in the Bali but then, they've been defeated straight 2 games by TSM.

While for Entity, they've got a promising start but then they finished so fast. I read something of what fishman said that they're quite confident and they got lack of communication, so we know now the reasons.

Hopefully, they'll be in best form during the TI qualifier.

Supports don't know what they are doing and just dying without a goal while B EZ M turns out to become a feeder due to his aggressiveness for nothing.

I had hopes that GG won't look as dominant as it did in the last Majors but heh , they are stronger than ever and now they have new heroes in their "meta" like Razor and Sven ? This 2 heroes needs a lot of items before they can produce power but even with that , GG still founds a way to find quick farm ,put items and then dominate the entire map.

Now , I'm curious how Talon will perform because they are currently my favorite team and they are playing against Secret in about 1 hour.  Cool
Gaming drew their 1st match up with Team Spirit. Sven can come back to the meta but needs the right game. He can be easily kited. He is the fastest farmer in game with the cleave and hence has to be 1-2 items always ahead to win. 23 savage is really good, I hope Talon put on a good show as well.

Well yes , Sven needs a perfect initiation in order to carry the team fights and we saw today that it ain't easy and most likely will fall out of meta again.

23 savage is the god of carry players right now and I hope Talon will be able to give him a perfect Major this time and reach the finals because this team deserves a lot more respect that it currently has.  Cool

Game 1 between 9panda and VP on Riyadh Master is very intense match. Ramzes hard carrying his team the whole game and it just ended with 1 mistake which is he over protect chen that result them a game. I don't understand why he keeps on the front line while the Chen is already save in the backlines. He thinks he can 4v1 the enemy team while there's a doom on the opponent side.

I thought they will have a very good comeback but Ramzes once again choke. He is good on farming his items but sometimes failed on decision making when they are already catching up the enemy. Game 2 on the way. I think Kiyotaka needs to step since he is a complete useless the whole game.
I saw how ramzes became titled against Team Secret. Although the match ended up with a 1-1 but the first game was too easy for Team Secret and it's just like 15 minutes of game when ramzes have been continued to get killed. With the last one at the top lane of radiant, he got killed again and then typed good game well played and then disconnected.

On the otherhand, VP has already farewelled to the Riyadh and 9pandas are going to continue on the group stage. Ready your pockets boys, later we'll see the rumble from other teams as well including GG, Talon, PSG.LGD, SR and others.
Really though tournament to call out so far for me, hopefully things will get better from today. There is a couple of nice odds, mainly PSG and GG to win their first games today. I just hate it that it is BO2 games but that is why the odds are good.

Need to save my money for brackets and when we get BO3 but I couldn't resist placing some bets today as well.

GG seems shaky again which is usual on a tournament that doesn't have DPC points. I'm expecting that they can 2-0 TS but they are having a hard time closing the game on TS which results in a late game on both games. I might consider betting 2-0 against GG on the bottom team that is not in their same region because they always get their lose on the weakest team during the group stage with or without their dominant performance.

I surely thought it'd be an easy 2-0 for them, but that comeback win from Execration happened out of nowhere. After that, Team Secret played so cleanly, dragging out fights, and Fbz's early octarine build helped a lot in those long extended fights.

  • Beastcoast
  • Virtus.Pro

All of these teams aren't going to come home without nothing but with a whopping $50,000 each. This is what's good with this Riyadh masters, all of the teams even the lowest place will have a prize to take.

Meanwhile, hoping for Team Secret to make it to the next stage. These coming games against 9 Pandas won't be easy though. A lot of ties in the groups, I thought there are tie-breaker rules but I cannot find them.

They made it and the ties were settled by the match decider games though. It was pretty close for Team Secret but there was no doubt that they were going to make it considering that they were only playing against Execration. Picked these two earlier, Im confident with GG but PSG.LGD is way better than OG as well

In the Group C match Faze-G2, Faze defeated G2 2-0.It was easy to beat G2 with the legendary performance of Twistzz and ropz.It was not enough for hunter to play in G2, only hunter's performance was not enough because they played badly as a team.
In the final match of Group A, NiP was the winner with close scores in the vitality-NiP match.NiP was the team that played better as a team.We can say that the NiP team had a very good tournament in the match where only IGL hampus played badly.

Quest is still strong without ATF but it's possible that ATF was the brain during all of their run.

Quest esport is the only team that won 3-0 ( 6-0 ) for their first 3 games and currently Xtreme Gaming won the 1st map against them. I thought they could make a clean sweep for today then advance to the group stage on the very first day.

I thought for sure that Quest will be quite handicapped since ATF is one of their playmakers before. Good thing they made it work with Malik, and they still look incredibly in form albeit not really finding their rhythm during the early stages of their games. Hopefully though they continue this run and form up until the TI season. They're really a good team with ATF, and they understand the meta quite well I must say.

I guess nobody expected that Quest will continue its huge run. How many days they only had to replace ATF? It seems like it is only 2 days something to prepare and familiarize Malik and they also add a new coach at that time. And all of a sudden they are playing really well like nothing changed to their team. I felt excited for them although we still see them mixing it up with the top teams that are waiting.

Meanwhile, hoping for Team Secret to make it to the next stage. These coming games against 9 Pandas won't be easy though. A lot of ties in the groups, I thought there are tie-breaker rules but I cannot find them.

Despite ATF is really a good position 3, I agree to you that if he stays with Nigma, there should be an adjusted. And from being with OG before, he's a position 1 and that could be the adjustment. I am thinking that Nigma is more with the contract business now and not with the actual competition anymore. Kuroky needs to be just their manager or coach and let the younger ones play with their talents. ATF with the Quest is really a strong dark horse but then, it's all about business and contracts and probably ATF was minisculed by their offer and that's why ATF can't even proceed despite with a go signal from his Nigma management.

ATF is weighing his options and that is just the right thing to do. A few months before TI and a lot of teams can still get him if they wanted him to be in their team. The guy’s got pretty solid mechanics for a carry, though his aggressive play style suits him better in the offlane role, a role in which Nigma and Quest utilized him. He just needs a 4 position support that matches what he wants to do in the lane.
It's gonna be crucial for him if he wants to participate in the TI. I guess that he'll be playing with Nigma on the qualifiers but we all know that he's got a tiny chance to get on with them because of how Kuro and the team was performing, they're truly far from the meta right now.
But if another team is going to take him as a loan through the qualifiers up to the TI if ever lucky, I wonder what team is that. The one successful loan is Sumail. This is a good reason why I guess that kuro is going to push him to be taken as a loan while he's still in contract with them.

Old OG did this really well although they haven’t found much success after a few stints in a few majors.
Possible that he'll take them as a loan as well. It's because they've got no permanent teammates.
