Gaiming Gladiators simply cannot lose in Dota 2 ...I simply cannot believe it that they didn't lose against Tundra , then they got luck with Quest in first map when the power went off and last night they had mega luck against BetBoom who had weird drafts in both map 2 and 3 and that lost them the game and made GG advance in top 4 with them playing again today vs winner of Talon-9Pandas.

Now , I love Talon and 23savage but I think 9Pandas with Kyotaka Invoker have a great combo and synergy against GG and their medusa so I do hope 9pandas will win and face them later on today because GG must be eliminated as I don't want see watch another Liquid vs GG final because we already had 3 this year. This weekend the games of the group stage of IEM Cologne 2023 are happening with a lot of exciting games coming up. The weather has been so terrible the last week that it's nice to have at least some CSGO games to watch while staying at home during the summer. In the first match Cloud9 is playing against fnatic, which should be a good win for the Russian team. GamerLegion vs Monte I won’t be betting on as I don't know these two teams very well. In the match of G2 vs Astralis, I am going with G2 as they are still one of the strongest teams in the world, even after not performing so well in the Blast Premier tournament. The most one-sided match of the day will be Heroic playing against TheMongolz, which offers almost no return to bet on the match. Tomorrow the two top teams are playing and should offer a clear win to bet on. First Vitality is up against OG, where I don't see any chance Vitality losing. And then FaZe is playing vs NiP, which is FaZe going to take home without difficulties.

IEM Cologne 2023 starts today. For the opening matches, I'm betting on some underdogs, e.g. GamerLegion and Fnatic. For the Fnatic vs Cloud9 match, I think 2.6 odds for Fnatic is very interesting, considering their performance in the play-in stage and Cloud9 is playing with a substitute. I know the addition of Perfecto and Electronic could add to their firepower but this will be their first map together.

For the rest of the matches, I'm going with the favorites.

Well the result wouldnt change even if he hadnt remove his hand from his keyboard.
I disagree, it's possible that the result will change if he just focused on the objective of destroying the throne instead of being too excited and happy when the match hasn't ended yet. The focus on mind during a game is important and for sure if he wasn't cheering that early, he would have noticed the bottom lane was getting through by the creeps.

Alot of people seems to be upset about this while in fact this chanes nothing, Liquid was always the better team so this is kinda weird when most bettors then to blame him for not paying any attention because in this case, I think Zai was brilliant enough to pull this off
Zai was too humble to say that they've lost on that match particularly if it's a toe-to-toe match. But it's still a game the other side has to destroy the throne and world tree and Zai just ended it that way.

I didn't watch the live game but watching the replay makes me get why they are excited. They finally close the game by killing the enemy hitters while they have complete heroes with expose throne. That moment is indeed a GG call game if zai didn't think that sneaky ancient segway. Emotion is very high on competitive scene like this.
What a terrible mistake made by 23savage and his teammates. Too many wasted time by just doing an objective of ending the game. They didn't saw that coming.

Zai, just took advantage of that moment and he did ended up the game swiftly. While his supports did everything they can to stopped any response from them.

They have cancelled the TP of 23savage going back to the base. He celebrated too early and thought that they've got already to secure third place with $1.2M but no.

Liquid is the biggest surprise so far in IEM Cologne Play-in brackets. Because first they lost to Astralis. After that we saw them defeating BIG in Lower Round 1. But in the last lower round they lost to 9INE by 2-1. We are talking about a 1 million-dollar tournament and Liquid can't go there because of losing against a worse team than themselves.

They played the decider on Overpass which wasn't a map they were very successful on though. But still I believed in them to make it against 9INE. YEKINDAR couldn't take enough responsibility on this map to carry his team to the main tournament.

It wasn't even one of his best days either because his general performance on all maps wasn't good enough.

Exciting match ahead on the lower bracket. Talon vs 9Panda & GG vs BB! I'm betting that both this match will result to over 2.5 games since this 4 teams are very strong and has a close match during group stage. But if ever I will choose a match winner pick then I will go for GG and Talon to win their respective match since they have the best overall performance based on their recent match on this playoffs.

I'm excited on the BB and GG match up because this 2 teams is very close in terms draft and team fight strategy.

Without any doubts , yesterday was one of the best days of Dota2 this year and the fact that Talon lost in that way really made me sad because that team deserves to win a Major man...they really do. For Liquid , what can you say? the luck was with them on that throne vs throne match up.

Talon deserves the loss yesterday because they let their defense off guard even though the throne is not yet finished while there’s still enemy team alive. 23Savage is already jumping away from his PC on the behind the scene photo after they kill the 2 core hero of Liquid. This explains a lot why they didn’t notice that Zai is destroying their ancient while Liquid throne is on glyphs of fortification.

Talon is a good team but a mistake like this cost them a lot for securing much higher reward. Now they will need to compete on GG or 9Panda which is a very tough enemy to deal with.

I don't know about Talon deserving to win a major but I think they were the better team in terms of play. Even Zai admitted they were beat but Talon got careless there so it is what it is. Then you have the foolish early celebration which made their loss even worse. It's going to be hard recovering from that.

Then , we had the mega crazy comeback of Team Spirit who can never be counter out from a game as their most impressive skill as a team is to play mega good in defense and we all saw yesterday what Yatoro can do if his team will delay the game just enough for him to build those items that will win them the game as I'm sure only a few of us believed that Team Spirit can make a comeback in both game 1 and 3 against BetBoom.

Great matches yesterday. Somehow I am glad Liquid was able to steal that deciding map. I still believe they are pretty much better and more clutched. So far they already made huge hard wins in the upper bracket. I believe they are now the favorites to win this tournament.

I am still a fan of Team Spirit but I never thought that BetBoom fell into a comeback. I am so hyped on BetBoom and won all my bets on them so far and now they are facing earlier than expected against GG (provided it wins over Quest which is expected).

Nonetheless, all these remaining matches are pretty great and exciting. I am still rooting for GG and BB in the lower bracket.

I'm betting safe now, yesterday, I was lucky to win on most games with the majority over 2.5 total games per match.
Betting over 2.5 total games per match seems lucky right now as the prize pool of this tournament is huge and teams are extremely serious and playing carefully, with unexpected wins and losses everywhere.

They knew already brood capability on quick destroying their barracks since Zai is the one who clean their base with split pushes. They become over confident with their win on the clash and even Liquid didn’t knows exactly that Zai can make it.
On top of that, Talon used their fortification for the team fight leaving the base exposed and it all came down to the TP cancels that came in clutch from the supporting side of Team Liquid.

This tournament keeps on giving with these unpredictable series and the networth leads don't matter as much when it all goes down to who has the better draft and execution in the late game.

Anyway this tournament continues to be much harder for me to call then the ones before. Whenever I am thinking somebody should win easy they loose at least a map and when I think it will be a close match it ends 2:0. I was sure PSG.LGD and EG would take at least one map yesterday and I thought GG should do it clean and they were almost out.
I'm also having a bad time betting in the playoffs as I thought the 9 Pandas vs Team Secret series would go to three maps and then it goes 2-0 for 9 Pandas.
Happened again in the last game BetBoom had all three maps in their pocket and managed to loose at the end. Killing my ticket in the process and proving once again this tournament is better skipped when betting.

That being said Liquid and BetBoom series were totally wild and I am really happy I managed to watch most of it, especially that Zai move to secure Liquid win.

That was a hype and intense base race and I think that I saw that fortification on Gorgc's stream that some comments of viewers did since the camera where I have watched on stream didn't focused on that mistake.

I think it was jabz that pressed it when he's typing something. Props to Boxi and insania for stopping, prolonging and cancelling the tp's of Talon.

23savage celebrated too early, a lesson learnde from him.

IEM Cologne Play-in matches are going on. I saw NIP quite weak against MOUZ interestingly. They have been a better team than MOUZ so far. I thought that they would win the series by 2-1. But they couldn't even resist MOUZ much on especially the second map. There is another chance for NIP still.

They are going to face Imperial. Truthfully Imperial are no different than MOUZ when we look at their placement in rankings. However Imperial's recent form has been impressive. They even defeated Vitality in a BO3 series not a long time ago. They can show a really impressive team performance when they are fully concentrated.

NIP will be the favourite by bookmakers most probably but I'm thinking of giving Imperial a chance.  Smiley

I am now with the Talon Esports and Team Liquid.

This match is on fire. I thought Talon will gonna lose game 2 against Team Liquid since 23Savage got a lot of early deaths and behind net worth but he is so good on recovering as if he doesn’t have a rough start. The game is now on game 3 and I believe Talon can get this reverse sweep after that last performance on game 2.

Micke Sven doesn’t contribute much damage because he can’t position properly due to Mars Arena and ET disables. What a nice game for Talon.

WTF just happened on Game 3 of this match, Talon ignored Zai while Mikoto can TP on the base and place remnant to return easily on enemy base. They completely disrespected broodmother pushing capabilities that cost them game which should be they got already if someone respo in their instead of GG push since Void and Pango is already without buyback.

I’m happy that Liquid but I’m just too confused on why Talon compete on broodma for base race.

It’s not that they are ignoring Zai but they taught that they have the advantage on base race because they have a complete team with Morph lock items. The support of Liquid just did a great job to give Zai some space to crash Talon base and the creeps works in favor with him since it spawn near him including the first batch that gives him massive spiderlings that helps him to demolish the ancient easily. If I’m not mistaken, He has refresher that he use to get those massive spiderlings quickly which Talon didn’t expected to happened.

I still think that they can win that fight if 2 heroes return to the base since they can easily wipe out those summons that provides a lot of building damage then come back to the Liquid throne to help others to continue the push. Nisha and Micke is down for almost 2 minutes win this base race happened. Liquid has no way to come back on this game if Talon just play safe and don’t play greedy in the end just to finish the game already.
