I don't think so because bitcoin and alt coins are related and support one to another. And the big guy is bitcoin which all are depends on it and hard to beat.

They are both attacking different parts of the market. So I would disagree.

This is definitely a good observation but I would advise you to keep in mind the world is rarely that black and white.  The sets of functionality each posses are not disjoint!

They attack different parts of the market AND they attack some of the same parts.  This makes them compete AND not compete.

Keep in mind dialectics.
by seeing the development of this Ethereum had experienced rapid growth and make Ethereum value is quite high. it is feared Bitcoin as a form of threat to the position and value of Bitcoin itself. but see its current development is not much of the development of Ethereum is so increased.

Well, Benn Simmons is gone from the playoffs and LeBron is still fighting, just as this comparison I think that Ethereum would need at least one more year in order for it to be mentioned in the same sentence with Bitcoin.

I still believe that bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency markets.
Although ETH has achieved great success, I think ETH's bubble is very big, because the rise of ETH is due to the popularity of ICO market.

Hello, I agree with you. I also believe that the time will come, and the Etherium will come first. I think he deserves to be in the first place, I prefer the ether to any other crypto.

That's not true at all, in the sense that the margin between the two coins re much for ethereum to be threatening bitcoin for the position.

Bitcoin is too mainstream, and Ethereum doesn't quite roll off the tongue. I don't think it really threatens Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the one.

I think that ethereum is a threat to bitcoquine, because at the moment there are many new projects based on ethereum, and it is useful for raising the price of ethereum.

if we say a threat to bitcoin is not look at this time because the difference is price and adoption is too much at this time it will take time for ethereum to grow like bitcoin.

I do not think that Ethereum will be better than bitcoin. bitcoin will always be the first coin on the cryptocurrency market.

That ethereum is a threat to bitcoin may well be because ethereum now has many new projects and it is very good to raise the price of ethereum. But bitcoin is still the strongest because bitcoin supply is getting less then bitcoin price will become more expensive.

Ethereum is a threat to bitcoin? Yes it is. We all know that ethereum was created by a russian programmer on 2013, and it was launched on 2015. After 3 years it is next to bitcoin in terms of popularity and value.

Let me show you some NBA perspective on this, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency right? same as LeBron as the king of NBA. But here comes ethereum the prince of cryptocurrency just like Ben Simmons as the prince of the NBA. The prince will dethrone the king on the eastern conference finals same as ethereum that will dethrone bitcoin in the next couple of years. Wether we like it or not the king will reach its limit. Mark my word. Trust the ethereum process!

Wow Really?  firstly, crypto isn't sport. so you cannot judge it that way. i can tell Etheruem is the next after Bitcoin. Bitcoin was the first digital money ever. Bitcoin doesn't seem like slowing down a bit.
the block chain is a large space for Projects, each projects offer different solution. so that makes it difficult to compare these projects

I dont know why people are keep saying that ethereum is a threat to bitcoin, or bitcoin is being compared to ethereum. they are different cryptocurrency and there is no reason to compare those two.

Ill think maybe the etherium it will be a threat for bitcoin, If we look at the market for now the Etherium was in the second stage in the market so it will have a chance to surpass it also. If the etherium always running and running to increae the price of it so we can think this will be a threat for bitcoin.
But the chance of happening this is very minimum because bitcoin is far better than ethereum and ethereum is still standing in the market because of the tokens I think,if it was not there then ethereum price may be very low.And technically the availability of ethereum is unlimited so it can never reach the price of bitcoin.

I think it's still too early to talk about this since the price of bitcoin is much higher than the price of the ethereum. It takes many more years for the ether to beat bitcoin.

Of course, ETH has a lot of recognition from many people, and great prospects, but at the moment, it's hard to believe that bitcoin can lose its leading position, because there are no prerequisites for this, and its dominance remains unchanged.

People, first of all believe in it. And if something happens to Bitcoin, then it can undermine people's confidence in the whole of the crypto currency.

I think it's not because I know if the price of Bitcoin declines in Ethereum goes up then I think it's not a threat, and so now the bitcoin price still has not gone up and the price of altcoin in the recovery period so I'm sure Bitcoin will be stable again and be good in the future

Not a threat, why. Bitcoin does not depend on it, and all the Ethereum wants is to be independent and gain a foothold in the world. So they have different ways and they do not threaten each other
