There will always be people in both camps that will argue day and night as to why they believe their Coin or protocol is better. I think both have their value, first Bitcoin because it was the grandfather of all cryptocurrency as we know it and Ethereum opened the Blockchain to more businesses and made it accessible to decentralize applications and eradicate red tape and many hurdles in conducting financial transactions. Bitcoin will always be recognized as a store of value while I see Ethereum as more of a Utility business and coin.
This is the wrong view. Ethereum can be infinitely added, and this will never be able to surpass Bitcoin. Your knowledge is problematic and you should learn.
In accordance to the trend that ETH is the most reliable alt coin it seems to be positive predictions as for this coins and for all alt coins in common.
I think there will be something different,something that will be used by all and everywhere.Bitcoin is a pioneer, a means of saving. By technology and convenience-this coin is not for everyday use.
One does not need to overcome another as they could work pretty well hand by hand. As many people wrote before, I strongly believe that both of those cryptos are about to stay (even though Bitcoin looks slightly overpriced in compare to what it offers today). Both of those coins have a purpose and niche on their own. Bitcoin as a store of value - due to the fact that its use as a "coffee coin" is right now ridiculous, and Ethereum as a potential new infrastructure of Fintech industry.
I can not judge so sharply. After I became convinced of the instability of the crypto-currency life. I do not judge strictly now. After all, the current course and development can only be assumed. Bitcoin is the same as it is at this time. The price of Ethereum should not bother Bitcoin much.
I really believe in the excellent potential for the successful development of Ethereum in the future. But at the same time I believe that BTC will remain the leader and king of the crypto market in the coming years. That's your opinion and the writers opinion, everyone is entitle to their opinion, for me bitcoin is the first to open doors for other altcoins and i still think it will be the future of cryptos, currently we are talking about bitcoin futures, bitcoin ETF, etc, that's to show you how powerful bitcoin has become, so i think ethereum is no the future of crytos because it is a utility coin, but bitcoin is a currency used to store value.
you do not need to compare these two coins, because they always stand in the first place, and this will continue for a very long time, but I think that bitkoyn will always be in first place

I disagree with you, because now Ethereum has been defeated by Ripple, and it makes me unsure if the future of crypto is Ethereum and not Bitcoin, because I think Bitcoin is better than Ripple, and for now Ripple is better than Ethereum so in my opinion it's impossible if Ethereum can beat Bitcoin.
I do not agree with you, if you make such a choice, then explain to me the simple thing that brought us ETH of something that the BTC did not bring to us, this is the simplest question, to which there is no answer. BTC is what we need.
Bitcoin is the first coin so I still believe that these coins would be the future for crypto. As for the popular coins Ethereum is number two after Bitcoin. And I would argue that Bitcoin and Ethereum are coins that will bring the world of crypto to be the best and have a very good future.
Guys, how long have you been on Coinmarketcap? Have you seen that Ethereum has fallen in the ranking? I wonder how this will affect the price of the altcoins based on the Ethereum blockchain
Maybe, I'd say I like ethereum more just because of its usefulness ,bitcoin can't do what ethereum can do, I still wish ethereum is the first launched cryptocurrency though ,all the same ethereum will be superior in the future.

If it captures 1% of that $2T, it is equivalent to $20B, which would put ETH somewhere around $150. Those who sell for $2 will shit bricks, eat sand and may even commit suicide in the years to come. If it captures 10% of that ETH will be $1500. I know it sounds crazy, but so did the Internet in 1995.
Once it's launched their main focus will be on scalability, which I think is the real reason crypto is not ready for mainstream. Once they can handle 100K TPS (and I'm sure they will), it's game over.

This topic is from 2015. And it seems to be wrong. We can easily see that btc is the king of altcoins. It has kept top 1 for a long time and has never been replaced;)
Actually ethereum has more benefits and functions than bitcoin, but it is very far if we predict that only bitcoin or ethereum will be the future of crypto. I think ethereum is not worthy of being included as a future coin candidate, because it is seen from the limited supply of volume.
Agree with you. Ethereum is going to overcome Bitcoin one day, but not in 2018 or 2019. Almost everybody said that in 2018 ETH will be the number one crypto, but still is far away from Bitcoin yet.
Bitcoin and eth also have their own futures, and now for eth and btc the same is talked about as having a very good future, so it's good if we invest
