With practice and more tracks under his belt other than F2 he should do just fine.

Getting back to the discussion during this race week:
Hamilton has been looking quite strong during the free practice runs and sets the pace this weekend thus far.

There is a new asphalt on the track so the grip is strong. I think this is one of the iconic tracks in Formula 1. It is home GP for Ferrari at the same time.

Probably nobody isn't surprised about these news. It's not just that he scored only 2 points in his career. He lost all qualifying sessions against Albon and sometimes it looked that he is driving F2 car. No hate, but this guy haven't showed anything to save his seat in F1.
Risky move to replace with Colapinto who having just his debut season in F2. But probably it's that moment that doing such move is better than not doing anything.

Quite interesting that they replaced him so late into the season. Doesn't mean that he didn't deserve it, Logan hasn't been good for a long time and it was clear that they needed a change, but you don't do that on the last 9 races of the season, you wait until the new season to make that change.

Maybe they just wanted this new kid to end up getting used to the car this season, like they gave up on their second car for the season, they know they are not getting anything anyway and they are a terrible team right now, so why not let the kid take it for a test drive for 9 times before he is ready for the next season? Makes sense in the way that it would help them get him better next season, but they should hope that he doesn't crash and cause more costly mistakes.

Williams was really in a hurry to replace Sargeant with Colapinto. I don't know about this new driver much. I haven't watched him I mean, I only know his statistics so far. He collected 96 points at MP Motorsport and beat his teammate Hauger in F2.

It must have been a long while since we last saw an Argentinean driver in F1 as well. I'm wondering what this 21-year-old driver will do... Sargeant has caused huge costs because of many accidents which must be the reason why Williams couldn't be patient until the end of the season.

Anyway, we are in a new race week. Norris is already favoured the qualifying of course. By the way I think it's worth trying one's luck with Norris to become the champion. Verstappen is struggling more in time so why not? Grin

Colapinto. This is actually a high-risk change but the team is saying that it's worth taking him than Sargeant. That's like a stab on the back but that's how F1 is.

While I do agree that Mclaren made a great car, look at who came in third, not Piastri is the clue that we are looking for. While it is great that Lando managed to get the win, it is not clear if Mclaren has enough to beat Max, because we know that Red Bull is slower than Mclaren these days, but we are not sure by how much, we also know Max is a wonderful driver, probably the best on the track right now, so the gap must be smaller.

I think with any given race, one bad pit stop, one bad tire decision, one rain, everything changes completely. It doesn't even have to be an accident, we are just looking at something smaller, even a few seconds slower pit stop, something jammed for a split second, could decide the drivers completely.

So all in all, I still think that Max has a very high chance, he has the advantage of making a mistake and still recover, Lando can't make a single mistake, he has to keep winning and we all know he can't be that dominant right now, the car is good but not that good.

Oh, glad I didn't put a dime on the exchange, but I never imagined Max would be getting even higher so quickly, only 24 hours and still sliding with basically no news or anything, it's a clear sign Lando is getting backed and money is flowing, so they are adjusting the odds.

This was discussed right before the race actually by the announcers about Red Bull losing the constructors for the season.
The gap between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris is still wide with just a few more races to go that the Dutchman might still be able to win that but margin between Red Bull and McLaren is razor sharp.
They were 42 points away from RB but now are 30 points so they might just end up winning the season with both drivers performing and Perez not.

Didn't watch the race, I have it on recording anyhow but seeing the results and the time, I wonder if I will just skip through it.

I placed just one bet and it wasn't about the Dutch race, and the one mentioned about the final standings on teams, I'm as sure as one can be when it comes to gambling that RB is going to lose. Bookies have also reacted sharply to that, not even 24 hours and the odds for the next one are telling:

I'll be watching the liquidity and head to some exchanges to see how much can I play around with, backing all Max and hoping for a fast qualifying from him might be worth more than taking Lando on a direct bet.
The thing is I'm not enjoying these as much as I did before, too much effort and that need for timing ...

The race is over already... It is going to be a really easy win for Norris unless he makes an individual mistake. A gap like 13 seconds is insane man. Verstappen is really very slow. Nothing changed after qualifying.

Piastri is pushing for podium and he is very close to Leclerc. Probably he will manage to finish there.

But I want Leclerc to finish on podium to tell the truth. Ferrari should be able to achieve something already!

I wish Hamilton didn't mess up in qualifying. He could have really been competitive for podium. He is really fast now. Maybe at least he might be able to keep fastest lap on himself.
