Max can break another record today right ? He is currently chasing Vettel and Schumi record for most wins in 1 season of F1. If he somehow wins today , which I found it hard to believe , he will enter in history at such a young age but then again , Ferrari and Mercedes won't let this happen so easily.

Odds are also with Max but appeal odds on Mercedes as well. Shocked

Checo I expect to make it to the podium for atleast one Red Bull car will make it up there.

Checo's car had electrical and DRS issues.
This can be meaning anything, from recovery and ending in top 3 to even abandoning. I hope for a home win from him, he would deserve that (but as I said, his chances are far from great).

We had an electrical issue throughout quali, and with DRS we were struggling and so on. It was important to make sure we got everything right, but I was pretty much blind through quali – I had no reference lap time, I had no information on my brake balance or times, so it was just a mess

Verstappen took pole for the race in Mexico.
Hamilton and Russell both did well in qualifying so expect them to make moves in the grid for tomorrow very early.
Leclerc was 7th so he was disappointing in the pre-races.

So while I am hoping the same for Checo, I don't think he has notable chance to win.

I also do not think Max will stop pushing. Or maybe we will see 'team orders'... But I do not think there will be any situation like that just to please the stands.
And one of last chances for Russel to show he is faster than Hamilton this year. Maybe his salary will be adjusted Wink

Mexico is looking spicy with the odds from what I was looking at just now.
Verstappen 1.61x and Perez is actually above Hamilton.
I am hoping for a Perez win this weekend and yes to make a big arrival at his home country.

Yeah, just while this means extra pressure for Checo, Max is completely unimpressed of this kind of stuff (and will not favor his team mate).
Ferrari and the Mercs will have their own battle to fight and this can be a problem too, especially as the Mercs were performing very good last week-end.

So while I am hoping the same for Checo, I don't think he has notable chance to win.

Sauber to become Audi works F1 team from 2026

The German manufacturer announced in August that they will join F1 as a power unit supplier, when new regulations that feature increased electrical power and 100% sustainable fuels will be introduced in four years.

Looks like new era attracts new competitors. I wonder what will be the answer from old companies like Williams or McLaren.
They might take power units/engine parts from Mercedes or Red Bull. Who really knows but I know Williams and McLaren aren't going anywhere. Just as long as their owners don't go belly up and have to sell off to another entrant into the F1 circuit.

It was definitely a good race to watch for all the changing of hands and all the unexpected slow stops and many other things like crashes. It was weird for me because I wasn't sure if I was gonna win or not for a long time, I wagered on Max because... well obvious reasons and I didn't really know if he would get it or not. This is why I watched it very stressfully but at the end he still got it.

I know he started very well but after that slow pit stop I thought he lost it, but turns out he still had it in him to fight back and get it, and that gave me a small win. Wasn't a huge win, didn't had too much odds, but still a win is a win and Max never really disappoints.

I've seen the race one day later again (rerun). It was great to watch, although I felt sorry for both Sainz and Alonso.
Vettel leading the race for a while was a great goodbye prize imho.
The late penalty Alonso got was unfairly big. Russell's penalty should have been at least that big.

But overall it was an unexpectedly great race. A lot of interesting points, including the Max / Charles and Max / Lewis duels, but also for example Albon / Tsunoda. Somehow with so many interesting points Leclerc's many takeover (from place 12 iirc up to 3) went rather unnoticed.

I'm surprised of so few comments, I think that after the champion was announced people may have lost their interest. I advise people find a copy of the race or a rerun and watch that, if they're F1 fans.

An interesting intrigue came out at a race in the USA due to a defective wrench.  In general, one cannot even imagine where such unexpected and filthy "surprises" can be.   Sad

Nevertheless, Max and the team worked out the pif stop and tire change so competently that I am simply delighted with his talents.  Everyone unanimously notes not only his speed, but also the tactics of the race.  Definitely, he's a good guy.
Generally Red Bull is the fastest car.
The team has balanced it perfectly this season.

Red bull take the Constructor's championship of the season with the race in Austin this weekend.
It didn't look like Verstappen was going to win as Hamilton was leading for alot of laps during the final few laps and Max's team messing up during the tire change and had to use another bolt gun when fitting his new tire. He lost a few places during this mishap and was behind Leclerc and Perez. I think the only reason why he got ahead of Lewis was that the Mercedes was on older tires because it had pace. Just not during the turns to keep the Dutchman at bay.
What a race and a well deserved victory for the whole Red Bull team as they lost one of their founders just the day before.

Mercedes will include the unique sidepod design that other teams were using on their our cars during this season.
This video shows the reasons why they will be assimulating it for the future:

Anoter boring one?. I hope no.

But lets see how far its Verstappen of the rest of the field.

What disgrace its Ferrari, they cant compete no matter what its in front of they. For years agains Mercedes and now against Red Bull.

I dont know how much i want to see this race. Maybe 4/10
Do not think it will be boring at all. The other drivers still want those points even if for posterity.
One team will be letting one of those drivers go for De Vries, that has been settled for a while now.
It just hasn't been disclosed who yet. So expect those drivers to be racing for their jobs.

Also this track can be seen for a track similar for the new track coming in Vegas both being in the States and similar weather conditions.

Among the interesting news for me, first of all, the transfer of Pierre Gasly to Alpine.  Of course, I don’t know how much it cost Red Bull, but in general, Alpine is now showing good results in moving to the top of the leaderboard.  I think Gasley will help them.  He is only 26 years old.  He can also race for many seasons.

I also learned with interest that Audi will start racing in 2026.  Curious what results it will show.  The truth is, we all really have to wait a long time. Smiley

For this year I am still to see where Alpine vs McLaren fight will end. And whether the second place for drivers' championship will be Charles or Checo. Not much...

The competition between Perez and Leclerc has been heated up even more on the recent weeks. Perez is ahead by only one point:

I don't know if Perez can continue to stay ahead of Leclerc until the end of the season. Because I don't believe Verstappen and Perez have the same cars now. Leclerc is still faster than him in general but the last race was different of course. Maybe Leclerc pushed too hard and wore out the tyres earlier than Perez. I think Leclerc will stay ahead.

This is the current situation about the rivalry between McLaren and Alpine:

Alpine have a nice advantage and I don't expect them to lose this easily. Because Ricciardo has had a terrible season so far and collected only 29 points. He might continue to drag down the team in the remaining races. Ocon - Alonso duo are quite balanced as there isn't a huge point gap between them.

Why not watch the highlights of the Grand Prix? You could see the link below.

https://youtu.be/0J7cmh3MLp4

All the issues with it the race it’s really complicated with the tractor and having the poor visibility while driving it’s really hard and all the signages that are flying around. It was really interesting.

I prefer to watch the race as I want to, not get others decide for me what's important. For example I am watching most drivers, not only the top few.
So thank you, for the link, but it's far too short for me. I've already found the full race, just didn't get the time yet to watch it again. But this is what week-ends are for  Wink

Ferrari has a good car designer in Mattia Binotto.  I think he should return and solely play that role and have the team find a better team principal.  A new race strategist would be nice too.  Lol.

Ferrari had a pretty good car this year. Maybe they work more at the reliability and, indeed, find better strategist (or any strategist).
I wish to see better races next year. The real competition between Max and Charles was too short. Maybe next year Mercedes also comes with a better car (possibly McLaren too). So there's a good chance for a more spectacular year. I hope so.

For this year I am still to see where Alpine vs McLaren fight will end. And whether the second place for drivers' championship will be Charles or Checo. Not much...

Life, Love and Laughter...
It can really be another Red Bull and Verstappen year on the condition teams like especially Ferrari and Mercedes don't make much improvement. I just want to be hopeful about them to get better. I can't be sure of Ferrari because they don't give confidence to me about their future now. They made so many simple mistakes throughout the season that I've lost my confidence in them a lot. If they still struggle with durability issues or doing bad pits then there would be nothing changing for them.

On the other hand, I have a bigger hope about Mercedes. They've already made a big progress by getting very close to Ferrari's level. Their next season car must be much faster than this as they have been working on it for a long time. They started this quite early as they were out of the championship race quite early.

A lot of shade has been thrown at Red Bull's way for being too dominant this season.  But think about this, what of Christian Horner, Adrian Newey, Verstappen and the rest of the RBR crew went over and took over Ferrari's current team, I'd say they'd be the team to beat in F1.  It's not the team, it's really the people running the team.
