For this game, you have to ask yourself, yes, no Ja Morant. So, what happens now. The Grizzlies still managed to put up 116 points against the Nets with no Morant though Durant and Kyrie were not playing that game as they were resting on the back to back. I think the Grizzlies put forth great effort here and probably end up covering this game - but we still like the over here. The Grizzlies have lost 9 straight now to the Celtics, this is their first game without the Rookie of the year Morant and it is evident that Anderson, Brooks and Jones will take on the bulk of the scoring. And, who are they? They are guards. Jonas will also help with the scoring with an inside presence too, but this is a Grizzlies team that put up nearly 30 - 3 pointers last game against the Nets. I think with with limited driving power that Morant provided, this team will settle for a ton of jump shots here and consequently this game probably goes over. I also think that Boston coming off a big win against the Pacers with revenge will come a bit flat today and then will make a push in the second half with their respective points and consequently this game goes over.

The Bucks got their revenge over the Heat last night in a complete and utter blowout by almost 50 points. But now it's time for the Heat to get some revenge from that horrible loss. The Bucks jumped out to a 20-point lead in the first quarter and were up by 30+ at halftime, and it was garbage time from there on out. But this NBA season is unique and we will see these types of back-to-backs often, and it is hard to beat a team two nights in a row, especially at their own place. The Heat have one of the NBA's best coaches, and he should be able to make adjustments for his team to be more competitive. Milwaukee set an NBA record for made 3-pointers, and they isn't going to happen two nights in a row. Miami is a proud team that was just in the NBA Finals, and we think they will bring their A Game here after that embarrassing result. The Bucks aren't in midseason form right now as they just lost to the Knicks by 20. Jimmy Butler could conceivably be back here for Miami, so that would aid their chances for an outright win. The Bucks are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 visits to Miami.

Wisconsin has quarterback issues, banged up wide receivers, and running backs that are not explosive. They have a solid defense, but they have yet to face an offense as up-tempo and explosive like Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons are coming off a bad performance against the Cardinals, but that final score is a little misleading (Louisville scored 17 points in the last 17 minutes of that game). Wake Forest is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 bowl games. Wisconsin is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games as a favorite. If Wake Forest can take care of the football, they should be able to take this game down to the wire and win it straight-up.

This is a tough stretch for the Pelicans to start the season. Not only do they have difficult teams to deal with but New Orleans has been on an every-other-day schedule to start the year. The Pelicans opened in Toronto, then went to Miami after a day off, then went to New Orleans after a day off, and now are in Phoenix after a day off. Even worse for the Pelicans is they still have to travel to Oklahoma City after this game before four straight at home. This is a lot of movement early in the year to navigate. New Orleans has done a solid job as they are 2-1 straight up but this matchup is a tough one for them. This line says a lot as Phoenix comes into this game after back-to-back games with Sacramento, including a loss. The fact that Phoenix has an early season loss to the Kings and yet they are still favored over a Pelicans team that is considered much better means that Vegas has faith in the Suns. Look for the Suns to take advantage of playing on their home floor and keep the Pelicans at bay for most of this game. New Orleans does have the ability to jump out to an early lead in this one, but the Suns will pull away in the fourth to cover this one-possession line. New Orleans isn't on fire when it comes to the offensive end of the floor as they don't get much help from anyone outside of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. The Pelicans bench has been a sore spot as well as the starters always have extra work to do when they re-enter games. This is just a bad spot for New Orleans as we said, as the Suns are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games at home, 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games, and 6-0 ATS in their last six games on a days rest. Lay the small number here.

I think that this Texas team is a lot better than its record and its ranking suggest. They lost to TCU by just two points, they lost to Oklahoma in four overtimes, and they lost to Iowa State by three points. That's it. They are five points and four overtimes away from being in the playoffs. I know that seems like a stretch. But I really think that this team is legit and that they haven't played their best ball yet. Colorado is fine. But I do think that it is an advantage that Texas got to play a full schedule this year versus Colorado playing just five games. It is also germane that Oklahoma State played in a much better conference. When you dig in and look at Colorado's four wins, they were actually pretty underwhelming. They beat UCLA and Stanford by a combined nine points. They won a game against SDSU that was scheduled at the last minute (and was played at home) and they beat a pathetic Arizona team by not much. I'm not a big Karl Dorrell fan and I just don't think that he has the talent to trade blows with the Longhorns. Texas has had a bunch of defensive players opt out. However, I think that they have adequate depth. And I think that the guys coming off the bench are going to raise their play and that's a reason for them to play hard and get up for this game. Colorado's offense is lackluster. And it is certainly a major step down from what the Longhorns have had to tangle with in the Big 12. On the other side, the Buffs do have a decent defense. But Sam Ehlinger is a top tier college quarterback and this could be his final game. He's an emotional leader for this team and I can see him rallying his guys on that side of the ball. Texas is the better team from a better conference. I think that they are going to be more motivated for this game as well. Throw in the fact that they are playing closer to home and that Tom Herman has something to prove after being welcomed back for another year and I think that this game should be a total blowout.

What a match to close out Tuesday soccer at Old Trafford when Manchester United welcome Wolverhampton. Man U has been dominating in front of the goal as of late scoring goals at will and today I see this trend continuing against the Wolves. The Wolves last 5 matches they are 1-3-1 and their last two league road matches they have been outscored 6-1. The Red Devils have scored 10 goals in 3 games and if Man U hits the back of the net early in this match this game could get ugly quick. I see another high scoring pitch at Old Trafford and the Red Devils win 3-1 late this afternoon.

As per our selection on West Brom, we believe this is a game they will have circled on their calendar to gain maximum points in. The confidence for this contest should be high after holding defending champions Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield last time out and that gives them a run of one loss over their last three games. Leeds come into this contest off a 1-0 win vs Burnley which came on the heels of a 6-2 drubbing vs Manchester United. The defense has not gotten any better over the last week despite the clean sheet and we believe West Brom will cause Leeds issues at the back end and bag a goal or two in this contest. Take West Brom in this one.

Per this selection, this is a game that Colorado can win outright in our opinion. This is a squad that won 21, 23 games the last 2 seasons and they are 6-1 out of the gate as is Arizona. But, there is a difference here and that is that Colorado lost by 21 points last year, is a senior laden team for the most part, they beat Washington this year by 23 points which is a very impressive win if you look at the power rankings and they only lost to Tennessee this year by 9 points. This team is the only team in the country to take a punch from Tennessee and keep the game competitive. Arizona does not have any major wins against any major schools this year in the top 100 and to their credit, they did lost to Stanford by 3 points. But, difference here is that (and note, we almost took Michigan State as our premium play, might be our free pick on the daily video), but the difference here is that Colorado does not turn the ball over much and despite the fact that Grand Canyon a good team shot 50% from the field, Colorado still managed to win that game. This Colorado team has never won in Arizona since they joined the Pac back in 2011, they are 0-8 here, and we think history will be made today. Plus, Colorado is one of the best in free throw shooting in the country and Arizona is one of the worst power 5 free throw shooting teams as well. We roll with Colorado today.

Gonzaga has posted a 4-1 record to the over in their last five at home where they faced a team with a losing record on the road and they have gone an excellent 7-1 to the over in their last eight games where they faced a team with a winning % of .400 or lower. They have also gone up and over the total in 20 of their last 26 games following a straight up win by 20 points or more and they are a lights out 36-15 to the over in their last 51 off a straight up win overall. Throw in the fact that the Zags are also 16-5 to the over off a game where they scored 90 points or more along with the fact that they are 38-13 to the over in their last 51 games overall and that's where we'll have our play as we believe they are going to run like they have all season long. They've yet to allow an opponent to dictate the pace of a game and that's unlikely here as our numbers have them hitting the century mark, easily putting this one over the number in Spokane on Monday night.

Fresno State might be the last team in College Hoops to play a Division I game, and that's going to hurt them as they open Mountain West play against a very dangerous Colorado State. CSU won last time out by 13 points over a previously unbeaten Santa Clara team, and they'll be the more prepared team tonight. The Rams' only other home game was a dominant win to easily cover. We'll see another confident victory at their Colorado Springs campus. CSU averaged 82 points at home in conference play last year, including 80 or more in two double digit wins vs. the Bulldogs a season ago. From 2016-18 this series was dominated by Fresno, but clearly things have shifted the last few years with CSU winning each of the last three games by an average of 12 points and covering four straight. Colorado State is a top four team in the conference this year, and this match-up is totally set up for a big Rams win. Essentially removing Fresno's first month of the season has not prepared them for this tough test. Big home win. 83-72 for CSU.

Wisconsin is hands-down the superior team here especially at home. Wisconsin is the superior team defensively holding opponents to just 59.6 points per game this season and 56.1 points per game at home with opponents shooting just 35.3% against them. Maryland has shot just 46.9% as a team from the lion on the road this season and just 41.7% overall in their only 2 road games this season. Wisconsin has shot 47% as a team at home this season averaging 79 points per game which is 19 points per game more than Maryland has averaged on the road. Wisconsin had shot 43.8% as a team from beyond the arc at home this season and 76.2% from the line. This is a Wisconsin team that just beat Michigan State by 9 points and I expect them to take care of business against a Maryland team who lost by 16 points at Clemson and 3 points on Christmas at Purdue. We like the visitors here on a short turnaround. Villa are flying right now riding a four-match unbeaten run winning their last two by a score of 3-0. On Boxing Day, Villa played the second half a man down and still beat Crystal Palace 3-0 adding two goals in the second half. Villas have just one loss in their last ten away matches, winning seven of those ten, including wins over Arsenal and Leicester. Chelsea are coming off a 3-1 loss at Arsenal in a match they looked tired and just uninterested in taking advantage of a team in poor form. Chelsea now have just one win in their last five matches, losing three of those five with two of those losses against teams in the bottom half of the table. They now host a Villa side that side in seventh place while Chelsea is in eighth. At home though, Chelsea are unbeaten in their last ten, though they have not won back to back matches since early November at home. Chelsea is bound for a bounce back, but key players are not used to playing this many matches in December with Silva and Werner new to the EPL. Chelsea have won six in a row and that pushes us to the Villa selection.

Green Bay has the No. 1 seed in sight if they win this game tonight, and I see no reason not to lay this small number with the best team in the NFC. QB Tannehill has played outstanding this season, but he is not in the same league as Aaron Rogers, the likely MVP of the league. Green Bay has been jumping out early on teams of late, and I see them doing the same as well in this game. They will need to stop the run-on defense, but their defense last been playing better of late as well. The Titans are 3-13 ATS (1 push) in their last 17 games played during Week 16 of the regular season. Green Bay is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS loss in their previous game. The Packers win this game by 7-10 points and lay claim to the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Houston is a train wreck. They had their first game cancelled because of coronavirus. They are only bringing nine guys to Portland and this team is not ready to go at all. James Harden hasn't been practicing with the team. They have a new coach. They lost players from their roster and got work. I think that Harden is going to be in mail-it-in-mode, at least early in the season, and my expectations for this group are low. Portland lost its home opener against a really strong Utah team. I'm not going to crush them for that. And it is a benefit that they have that first game under their belt. Damian Lillard did not play well in that opener at all and I'm looking for a rebound effort from him. Lillard and C.J. McCollum should match or outplay Houston on the perimeter. And the Blazers should dominate the interior. There are just way too many question marks on Houston for me to expect them to come to play here.

Not even a consideration for Coastal in the final 8 being unbeaten, along with the fact they did not get to play in their conference championship game because of Covid, Coastal may be down for this game, surely deflated somewhat. Liberty has been a beast all year, stepped up in class and beat teams and are expertly coached by Hugh Freeze. This will be a wire-to-wire game in my opinion and way too many points to give. Willis at QB for the Flames is a one man wrecking crew, dual threat and can score at any moment, he will be a handful for Coastal. He has 20 TD's passing, 10 rushing (6.7 ypc) and the Flames have a trio of RB's that combined for 1600+ yards and 16 TD's on the ground. Coastal is not without merit but struggled in big games against BYU and ULL. This is a big game and I think it will not come easy at all. Liberty's offense and defense both rank higher than Coastal with a tougher schedule. The 2 defenses allow 19 and 18 points, the 2 offense's are dead even on points scored per game and yet a monster spread like this? McCall is a solid QB for Coastal and will make some noise here, and 2 big wins against BYU and the other one they hang their hat on is Kansas. Kansas is the worst team perhaps in CFB, they rank right up there, and BYU was a coin toss to the very last second. Liberty 7-0 ATS their last 7 games, 3-0 ATS as underdogs this season, and 6-1 ATS overall their 7 in an underdog role. Give me the points all day long.

The Detroit Pistons hired a new general manager and he's built a lengthy team that looks like one of the better defensive squads in the NBA. The Pistons defense was fantastic during the preseason holding each foe below 100 points in the game. They went out in the opener and did a very good job on the Minnesota Timberwolves and that game stayed below the posted total. I don't think the betting markets have caught up yet to how good this Pistons defense is.

Its going to be a few games before Vegas gets the right read on this Hawks team. Atlanta was a small favorite against a Bulls team that are considerably better than, and now they are a dog to a injury-hit Grizz team. Yes, Atlanta is in rough shape as well due to the injury bug, but they have plenty more scorers than Memphis. Atlanta is a strong team with many different scoring options lead by one of the best offensive players in the NBA in Trae Young. The Hawks really turned up the speed in their first game against the Bulls and they are going to do the same thing in this one. Memphis just won't have the firepower to keep pace in this game and although they have their "home court advantage," no fans will be a big difference maker in this one. The Hawks had seven players in double-figures versus the Bulls and not one player played more than 28 minutes. Ja Morant had to score a career high 44 points versus the Spurs and the Grizzlies still lost by 12 points. Look for a similar result even if Morant goes off again. Take the road team in this one.

We like the Under as second place Leicester host third place Manchester United in the early match on Saturday. Manchester United did play mid-week in the League Cup, beating Everton 2-0 on the road, a bit of a shock to us as United dropped 6 goals on Leeds in their previous Premier League match. United have been strong on the road, winning ten straight in the Premier League and unbeaten in 13 overall. Though they did loss 3-2 to RB Leipzig in the Champions League in early December, their only away loss in their last six in all competitions. United's weakest point is their center backs who are holding their own of late. For Leicester, they rebounded from a 2-0 home loss to Everton with a 2-0 win at Tottenham last weekend. The host are 4-1-0 in their last five matches with three of their last four hitting 2 or fewer goals. It has been seven home matches in the Premier League since Leicester played a match that hit 4 or more goals. Manchester United have won four straight in their series including back to back at Leicester. Six of the last seven matches have hit 3 or fewer goals with three in a row hitting 2 or fewer.

This Nets team is deep an has the ability to score the ball from multiple positions, and in multiple ways. Brooklyn can spread the floor and knock down threes and they have the ability to play one-on-one and score off the bounce. The Nets have multiple players that can create their own shots and that will be the difference in this one. The Celtics are a very good team lead by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown but this is a tough matchup for the Cs as the Nets are just too deep. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and the big time players but the likes of Joe Harris, Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris Lavert, and Landry Shamet will end up being what helps the Nets cover this line. When these two teams just met in the preseason the starters played 20+ minutes and when this happened the Nets ran the Celtics off the floor. This game will have a similar feel to it. Lay the small number as Brooklyn shows the NBA that they are for real.

Bucks fought back in a big way in their opener only to lose and a lucky Jason Tatum bank three but there were some red flags that should get cleaned up in this Christmas afternoon tip. Milwaukee is ALL IN for the title this season with Jrue Holiday coming over and Giannis getting the big bag so anything less than a trip to the Finals is a failure. Golden State is missing Klay and most likely will be missing Draymond in this one so Steph is on his own again. Anyone that watched the Warriors play Wednesday saw a group that has not played together much so this will take some time to come together. Take the Bucks for some bucks in this one.
