Omaha has played a tough schedule and now they’re in an ultra-tough situation on top of it. The Mavericks are not only playing in the second of back-to-back nights but they’re going from the altitude of Boulder, Colorado last night to the even higher altitude level of Laramie, Wyoming tonight. This is almost like the dreaded altitude road trip in the Mountain West Conference when teams have to play Wyoming and Colorado State (Fort Collins) on the road in back-to-back games. Omaha will be experiencing what MWC teams have complained about for years. Omaha is struggling badly at both ends of the floor, while Wyoming has been on fire on the offensive end. The Cowboys have a pair of next level players in Hunter Maldonado and Hunter Thompson and they should flourish in this matchup. Wyoming ranks 26th in effective FG percentage and they’re in the top 48 in 3-point and 2-point accuracy. Omaha has dropped 6 in a row ATS and they’ve covered just 3 of their last 16 on the road against teams with a winning home record. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are on an 11-3 ATS run overall. Tough spot for the Mavericks. We’ll lay it with Wyoming on Thursday.

This was a last-minute game schedule Monday night, and by the obvious circumstances I think the Wolfpack are going to be in for a rude wake-up call against Saint Louis. N.C. State hasn't played since December 3 with four straight cancellations. They have only been able to practice four-on-four due to able bodies, and the Wolfpack are only traveling with nine guys. I am very confident N.C. State, who hasn't played in two weeks, isn't going to be the type of sharp to limit an opponent who has won 16 of its last 18 home games. Saint Louis brings back four double digit scorers, and the likes of Javonte Perkins (19 ppg), Jordan Goodwin (15 ppg) and Gibson Jiberson (13 ppg) are proving a very healthy scoring trio. N.C. State graduated its starting backcourt and top two playmakers in C.J. Bryce and Markell Johnson, and I don't think they will be able to throw punch for punch with this talented Billikens bunch. Saint Louis has covered all five of its games this year. This A-10 team is going to be a handful for any and every team they play this season. Travis Ford's team has dominanted and won games by an average of 27 points - including a win over a talented LSU squad. Going back to the end of the last year they have cashed eight straight and 9-1 ATS run. They are rolling right now and I expect another confident performance to improve to 6-0.

The line is creeping up and that lets me believe we are on the correct side backing the Red Raiders at home. There will be some fans at this game and that should provide them with a home court edge needed against Kansas. Texas Tech laid an egg against Houston, but they have great balance on offense and Kansas lacks rim protection. Kansas is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog. Kansas usually loses an early road game in Big 12 play before they right the right down the stretch and I expect this year to be no different.

Manchester United are coming off a stale performance against local rivals Manchester City on Saturday. Manchester United sit in 9th place on 20 points, eight points back of Liverpool in first who have played two more matches. A win today could pull the visitors up to at least sixth with a victory of four goals or more giving them fifth over Everton who have a better goal difference. A win of the Manchester side could give them their tenth in a row away from Old Trafford in the Premier League and extend their unbeaten away form to 13. Seven of Manchester United's nine away wins have been 3 or more goal affairs with the last five in a row hitting 4 or more goals. They now face the worst team in the Premier League in Sheffield United who have picked up just one point all season and have the joint worse goal difference of -16, though three sides have given up more goals, Sheffield have scored just 5 goals all season. The host have lost seven in a row and are winless in their last 14. Their sole point coming in a 1-1 home draw to 17th place Fulham in October. Three of their last five matches have hit 3 or more goals including their 3-0 loss at Southampton over the weekend. These two meet in the first match after last season's restart with both sides in the Champions League hunt, though Manchester United came out on top with a 3-0 win. The first match last season at Sheffield ended in a 3-3 draw. Eight of the last ten overall and seven in a row at Sheffield have ended with 3 or more goals. We expect the visitors to come out ultra-attacking, while the host will hope to keep it close for as long as they can.

I have Purdue winning this game by 9+ points here tonight. Purdue is 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 home games when playing a team that has a winning record on the road and I believe they are the superior team in this matchup. Purdue will be able to dominate the boards against the Buckeyes here tonight and they are also the better shooting team knocking down 48.8% as a team at home this season. Ohio State has shot just 44.2% as a team this season and their opponents have shot 40% against them from being on the arc. As per today's selection, we like Pittsburgh in this matchup. They get back a key transfer today given the new transfer rules and frankly Pitt has looked good so far. This team is 4-1 so far, they beat Drexel by 9 points and even beat Northwestern on the road by 1 point which is fantastic. Yes, they lost to St Francis PA but that is ok, that was their first game of the year and since then they have done well. Miami beat Purdue which was shocking but then they laid the absolute biggest egg to Florida Gulf Coast due to all these injuries and I simply thing that Pittsburgh is too healthy and as they kick off the start of the ACC, I think they likely do well here.

Marshall has already taken care of business in relatively easy fashion against teams in Toledo's class. The Herd handled Wright State and Ohio by 16 and 14 points, respectively. The matchup is in their favor again. Toledo is having a tough time making 2-pointers, connecting on 41.9% of their attempts, which ranks 287th in the nation. Marshall is 20th in the nation in defending inside the arc, holding teams to 40% 2-point shooting. At the same time, the Herd are making nearly 60% of their own shots inside the arc. They're also excellent in effective FG percentage at both ends of the floor. The backcourt tandem of Taevion Kinsey & Jarrod West should put the Herd over the top in this one. For this Play on Wednesday, we like the visitors to continue Arsenal's struggles. Southampton currently sit in fourth place in the League, 11-points ahead of Arsenal as they have won their last two and are coming off a 3-0 home win over Sheffield United. The visitors are 3-1-1 in their last five and are riding a five-match unbeaten run on the road, beating Brighton 2-1 last week. Arsenal's struggles seem to only get worse after their 1-0 home loss to 17th place Burnley. They are now 2-3-0 in their last five matches and have lost their last four in a row in the Premier League. Southampton have not won at Arsenal since November 1987, the longest span of matches without winning at anyone side in the Premier League era. Arsenal won the last meeting 2-0 at Southampton with these two sides drawing 2-2 at Arsenal last season.

Furman has posted a 5-1 record to the over in their last six road games and they have that same 5-1 record to the over in their last six games following a straight up win by 20 points or more. They have also gone up and over the total in five of their last seven on the road where they faced a team with a winning record at home and they are 6-2 to the over in their last eight versus a team with a winning % of .600 or higher. Alabama has been an over team as well in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone over the number in five of their last six following a straight up loss and they are an impressive 5-2-1 to the over in their last eight where they faced a team with a winning % of .600 or higher. Throw in the fact that Bama is also 11-5 to the over in their last sixteen home games, along with the fact that both teams are putting up impressive offensive numbers (Furman 81.7 PPG, Alabama 75 PPG) and the over is where we'll have our play as we think both teams are going to get up and down the court in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday night.

I feel we are getting a great line with Florida A&M who has faced a lot tougher opponents than Austin Peay this season which is exactly why their numbers are not as strong. Florida A&M had a 10-point loss at Georgia has 20.5-point underdogs they also covered at Oregon has 28-point underdogs. Austin Peay was just blown out by 30 points against Murray State despite being just 3.5-point underdogs they failed to cover the spread by 26.5 points and they also failed to cover the spread losing by 8 points against the Abilene Christian Wildcats despite being favored by 2.5 points in that game. Austin Peay has now failed to cover the spread in 5 straight games dating back to last March and in fact they have not even come close to covering the spread in 4 of those 5 games. Now they face a hungry Florida A&M team who has faced very tough opponents so far this season including road games against Oklahoma, Oregon, Georgia and Florida Gulf Coast. Florida A&M shot 53% as a team against Georgia but just 15% from beyond the arc and 65% from the line which was the difference in that 10-point loss despite being 20.5-point underdogs. This is definitely a winnable game for Florida A&M here Tuesday night and they are 7-1 against the spread in their last 8 games when playing a team that has a winning record. Opponents have shot just 28% as a team from beyond the arc against Florida A&M this season and Austin Peay is the weakest opponent they have faced this season. Play Florida A&M ATS

I love the Tigers in this matchup. This is a very good Clemson team. With North Carolina and Duke struggling this Clemson team could be one of the top teams in the ACC by the end of the season. They are undefeated so far this year and have played a very good schedule and beat quality opponents from the Big Ten and the SEC. I think that the Tigers will want to get off to a strong start in their ACC opener. Virginia Tech is coming off an 75-55 blowout loss to Penn State last week. Clemson is better than that Penn State team and I think that they could do the same thing in this game and win this one by double digits. The Tigers are 6-0 ATS in their last six games and 5-2 ATS as a road underdog. Virginia Tech is just 5-16 ATS in its last 21 games and they are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as a favorite. The Hokies are just 3-7 ATS as a home favorite and they are just 1-4 ATS in their last five home games overall. Virginia Tech won both meetings last year. Only one time in the last 20 years of this rivalry has one of the teams won three straight in this series. I don't think the Hokies will make it three in a row here. Look for Clemson to get the win outright. Take the Tigers.

As per our selection on Hertha Berlin, they are coming off a solid 1-1 draw against Gladbach and we expect them to carry that confidence and momentum into this game against a Mainz side that has lost two on the trot and that has given up a ton of goals this season. In just 11 games, Mainz has conceded 25 goals and we look for Berlin to exploit that leaky defense, as they've scored 19 times in 11 games themselves, while also having a better defensive record. Berlin has lost just once over their last six games and we expect them to come out at home and boss possession and get a crucial three points.

I liked this game even with Nevada at -6. Now I really love it. Nevada is coming off a tough loss on the road against a solid Grand Canyon team. I don't think Steve Alford's team is going to lose two in a row on the road. They will be much better today than they were on Friday. Nevada has wins over North Dakota State, Nebraska and Pacific. Those teams are better than San Diego. San Diego has only played one game! They were blown out 83-56 by UCLA last week. That is their only game of the season so far. This team went just 9-23 last year. They lost leading scorer Braun Hartfield and only have two players that started more than 20 games last year on this year's team. San Diego is 0-5 ATS in its last five games and 2-6 ATS in its last eight home games. They are just 2-5 ATS as a home dog. Nevada should get the job done in this one.

In a middleweight bout on the PPV main card, we have a matchup between Kevin Holland and Jacare Souza. This will be an interesting fight to say the least. We have a complete contrast of styles as Kevin Holland will look to fight at range while being flashy and having fun, while Souza will work to find inside position, grapple and use that legendary jiu-jitsu ability. When we say legendary, we mean it too. He is a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and is a 10-time world champion spreading across the BJJ World Championships and ADCC tournaments. The issue with Souza is his age and deteriorating ability to ground his opponents. He is now 41 years of age and has not had much success at all in his wrestling as of late. Jacare can land big shots and deliver a knockout blow, but that is not his bread and butter. He is better on the feet than most of the BJJ specialists in the UFC but there is no doubt he will be looking to get back to his roots when he takes on Kevin Holland. When it comes to Holland, he is a fan favorite and has so much upside from a business perspective within the UFC. Holland is also a Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Kung-Fu. He has 10 wins by knockout and 6 by way of submission. Holland will trash talk, have fun, and never shy away from the moment. His enjoyment of fight competition is infectious, and he will need to avoid wrestling here to stand a chance. While we understand the danger and experience of Souza, we do not understand this price at all. We expect Holland to be able to stick and move and keep this at range enough and land some serious damage on the older Brazilian. There are moments here where this could get tricky and awkward for Holland, which is the reason, we won't be going too big here, but make no mistake. We feel this is mispriced and will gladly take a stab on the undervalued dog. We also never mind being on the side of the UFC in what outcome they want. Holland winning here is good news all around.

Home court hasn't been a big issue in this series, with the road team winning four of 10 games. Also, Utah has definitely had the upper hand in this rivalry, going 6-3 ATS in the last nine matchups. I think that Utah is the better team in this one. BYU is trying to replace the contributions from five seniors from last year. Those five guys were their best five players and this is a clear rebuilding season for the Cougars. They've been up and down; beating St. John's and Utah State but losing to USC and Boise State. And we just don't know what to expect from them. Utah has only played two games so we still don't know what to expect from them. But they have the best player on the floor (Timmy Allen) and BYU's big men aren't going to bother the Utes in the slightest. While BYU is trying to replace a ton of pieces, Utah has four starters and six of its top seven guys back from the team that beat BYU last year. They were better than them then and are better than the Cougars now. I know Utah is usually trash on the road. But playing in nearby Provo - and not having to face a pro-BYU crowd - should make things easier. Take the underdog.

This is a step-up in level of competition for Texas A&M. They're 3-0 but their strength of schedule has been soft. Meanwhile, TCU is off games against Providence and Oklahoma and are certainly battle tested. The Horned Frogs also own the better bench with a better brand of depth. Despite playing a soft slate, A&M has committed an average of more than 18 turnovers and nearly 20 fouls per game. They like to shoot from the outside but TCU has been playing a decent brand of perimeter defense. Add it up and we have a play on TCU on Saturday afternoon.

We roll with Arkansas here as they are not a bad team at all and I know it is scary to go against Alabama - I love my Crimson Tide, been a diehard fan since being born and bred in Tuscaloosa. However, I think Arkansas can hang tough here as this is their Super Bowl. This is everything for them. Arkansas has a great coaching staff and how much does Alabama want to rout them considering they have much bigger fish to fry down the road and they come off thumping their rival LSU? Alabama has Florida on deck so how much do they really want to show their playbook here. Maybe Alabama wants to win by about 3 touchdowns and go home. Arkansas played great at Missouri and lost by just 2 points and they should have beat Auburn earlier this year but the refs gifted Auburn a win. So, Arkansas could be 5-4 frankly and they are a team that is improving and they have a great culture there too - remember, they beat Ole Miss and Miss State this year. We like Arkansas to hang tight this weekend and stay inside the number.

Just cannot picture San Jose State playing in the MWC Championship Game next week. They have a much-improved team in 2020, but I feel having to vacate the Bay Area will finally catch up with them in this likely winner take all game. The Spartans were expected to host their last two games, but they had to travel to Hawaii last week and now will play this game at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Nevada has already played a game here in 2020, and they only had to leave the state of Nevada one time this season. Nevada is 15-2 straight-up and 12-5 ATS against San Jose State in the last 17 meetings. Both teams have stud quarterbacks, but the difference could lie with Nevada's defense.
