We roll with Detroit here as they are not getting a lot of love here but we think they do well here. Remember, Detroit just lost to Oakland in back to back games and Green Bay beat Oakland back to back games which is fine. But, I think the difference here is the non-conference games, Detroit lost by 7 to Michigan State and 8 to Notre Dame which is tough to ignore. Detroit has 3-5 upperclassmen as well and they have consistently lost to Wisconsin Gree Bay each year and we do not see them continuing to lose to them. This is an opportunity for Detroit to finally get over the hump here, use their difficult non-conference schedule to their benefit and bust out here.

The Blazers are coming off another win last night and that is now four in a row. They are 3-1 ATS in those game and I think that they will keep it going tonight against Indiana. The Pacers just made a big trade swapping Victor Oladipo and getting Caris LeVert. That is going to make a big change to the team and I think they won't be focused on this game. Portland has dominated this series. They are 6-0 ATS in their last six against the Pacers and 13-3 ATS in the last 16 in this series. Portland is 5-0 ATS in their last five home games against Indiana. The Pacers have other injuries to key players like T.J. Warren and they are not 100 percent. Portland got some players back healthy last night and they are getting better. I think that the Blazers will get the job done again here. Take Portland.

As per your selection, today we like the over here between the Caps and Sabres. I think the Sabres will be an active dog here today, as they have a lot to prove this year. This is their second year under their head coach Krueger. They made some big additions signing Taylor Hall to a one year contract to help bolster their offense and add some scoring punch to play with Eichel. Thats not all, they also went out and signed Eric Staal, Tobas Reider, and Riley Sheanan. They still have a nice core group from last year as well with Skinner, Reinhart, and Olafson. On the back end they have Dahlin who was their #1 draft pick and now has a year under his belt. I expect he will be alot better as well. What they lack is depth on defense and goaltending, which will be challenging when going up against the fire power and depth of the Capitals lineup. For the Capitals, they did not like the way their season ended so they went out and got a Stanley Cup winning coach in Peter Laviolette. They will be motivated and have fresh energy under their new coach. They bring back guys like Ovie and Carlson who are always a threat to score anytime they are on the ice. Add on to that guys returning like Oshie, Backstrom, Kuznetsov, Sheary etc. They will have no shortage of scoring threats. Buffalo has beaten them three straight at home. I think both teams will be highly motivated here, Buffalo an active dog wanting to win game 1 against an elite team, combined with the fact they still have some deficiencies on defense, Capitals wanting to win for the new coach, hence this one likely goes over. Over is 39-19-1 in Capitals last 59 games as a favorite.

Utah is always a tough out at home but I just believe Stanford is a much more talented team in this game. The Utes have a lame duck coach that will likely be replaced soon, and this is one of his least talented teams. They have yet to record a quality win on the season and playing the top teams in the league has taken its toll on them. The Cardinal is coming off 3 straight double digit wins and the have great size in this game and will take advantage of that in a big way. Utah is 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games as a home underdog. Stanford is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite.

We like the Over here as Arsenal host fellow London side Crystal Palace on Thursday. Arsenal has the best record this season against the other London clubs picking up nine points so far. They are riding a four match winning streak, needing extra time to knock off Newcastle in the FA Cup last weekend. Three of their last five matches, including their 4-1 loss in the League Cup to Manchester City have hit 3 or more goals. In the Premier League, Arsenal have won three in a row and are now in 11th place clearly out of the relegation battle. Three of their last four Premier League matches have hit 3 or more goals including a 4-0 win at West Brom. At home they have won just one of their last six matches, but three of their last five have hit 3 or more goals. For Palace, they are just one point back of Arsenal but come off a 1-0 loss at Wolves in the FA Cup. They have won just one of their last seven matches, a 2-0 win over last place Sheffield United. Away from home in the Premier League they lost their last outing 3-0 at Aston Villa. This is a very talented Palace side that is truly underperforming. They have shown they can drop goals on sides, 5-1 over West Brom. They are in the place Arsenal was in in November where they just were not finishing. We expect a fresh Palace side and an Arsenal side that slips early, but comes back strong in the second half.

The Knicks are the best UNDER team in the NBA at 9-2. They are playing some of the best defense in the NBA and they have a struggling offense. That is a great recipe for UNDERS, and the total has been posted too high here once again. Brooklyn has gone over a bunch lately. Therefore, the oddsmakers had to post a high number here. But New York has been horrible offensively lately, as they haven't scored more than 90 in three straight games. They haven't scored more than 106 in six of their last eight games, and you would have to think they would need more than that tonight in order for this one to go over the total. It's unlikely Brooklyn will have a big offensive night, with the Knicks D playing well and some distractions bogging down the team. If New York wants to keep this one competitive, they will need to slow the pace and count on defense for success.

The Detroit Pistons spent lots of resources in the off-season on building a bigger, longer, defensive type team for this upcoming season. One of their key acquisitions was guard Josh Jackson. The 6 foot 8 Jackson is one of the bigger shooting guards in the league and when he's on the floor he makes this Pistons team much better defensively. Jackson was hurt for a stretch early on this year but he's back now and overall he has played in 7 games this season and 5 of those contests went below the posted total (regulation time).

The Milwaukee Bucks were the best team in the NBA during the regular season last year. Most forget the thing that really made the Bucks special was their defense as they finished the year ranked #1 in defensive efficiency and overall posted the lowest season DE by any team in the NBA since the 2015-16 season. The Bucks defense has been a little shaky early on this year but they are coming off two of their better defensive outings in their last two contests as they held both foes below 100 points scored.

They had several new pieces that they were working to incorporate this year. But this team hasn't missed any time to COVID and they have been playing consistently since November, already notching 12 games. The Minutemen have played just six games, against a much weaker schedule, and they have lost half of them. They haven't played a Top 100 team yet this year and this is a really inexperienced club, with five freshmen logging major minutes. They aren't going to be able to keep up with a much more talented, much more experienced team in this one.

Man City have pulled back into the Top Six with their 3-1 win at Chelsea two weeks ago, now level on 29 points with two other sides, they can jump Everton with a game in hand with a win today. But after winning six straight and riding a 13-match we feel this will be a letdown for the host. City won their FA Cup match easily without a first choice side 3-0 over Birmingham City and have outscored their opponents 15-2, but this will sound odd, all of these have been against top of the table sides. They now play 17th place Brighton who are just three points clear of the relegation zone. Brighton have just one loss in their last six matches, drawing four and winning their last match in the FA Cup in a penalty shootout over Newport County. Brighton played Arsenal to a 1-0 loss, drew 3-3 against Wolves, and 2-2 at West Ham. Add on, Man City have owned Brighton since their return to the Premier League and this is about the time their fortunes change. Brighton have lost seven in a row to Manchester City including a 5-0 and 4-0 lost last season. This is a new year and though Brighton are just hanging on, we except a strong showing today.

Tonight at the Chase Center the Golden State Warriors welcome the Indiana Pacers and this number has been up/down. The Pacers come to Northern Cal losing back-to-back games and the Pacers lost last night against the Kings 127-122. The Warriors had last night off and the Warriors come into this game winning back-to-back games and winners of 4 out 5. The Warriors are getting great play from both Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre and if Stephen Curry gets hot early this game could get ugly. The Pacers are 2-5 ATS when playing on back-to-back games and the Golden St Warriors are 4-1 ATS last 5 home games.

Do not believe it matters who Kentucky is playing, it just matters how Kentucky is playing. The Wildcats are getting back on tracking having won 3 straight games, the last one in blowout fashion against Florida. Alabama is also perfect on the season, but this will be their 3rd road game in their last 4 games. The favorite is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 games between Kentucky and Alabama. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between Kentucky and Alabama.

The Spurs are going to be without DeMar Derozan in this game. I think that they will win this one easily even without him. The Spurs have won three of their last four games and they still have a proven All-Star to go to in Lemarcus Aldridge. Oklahoma City just got home after a five-game road trip. They have won three games in a row, including upset wins over the Pelicans, Knicks and Nets. They are still the underdogs in this home game though. I think they are going to struggle to adjust after that two-week trip. San Antonio is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 road games and Gregg Popovich always has his team ready to play hard on the road. The public is on the Thunder in this game. The majority of the tickets being written in this game are for OKC. That hasn't moved the number at all. I think the Spurs will play harder and I think that they will get the job done.

We are taking Newcastle this afternoon as the Magpies look to snap a seven match winless run having lost their last two in a row including an extra time loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup over the weekend. Newcastle have kept themselves in matches, but their one goal in their last five matches is pulling this side closer and closer to the regulation zone. However, there were a ton of positives coming out of their loss to Arsenal and we expect the visitors to come out motivated to get back to winning ways this afternoon. For the host, they come off their first win of the season, a 3-2 win in the FA Cup at Bristol City. This was definitely a moral victory for the Blades, but one we do not see Sheffield United building off of. They have just two points from 17-matches this season At home Sheffield have lost their last five home matches in a row. Newcastle won both meetings last season beating Sheffield 2-0 away and 3-0 at home with five wins in the last six meetings.

Ill. Chicago is the highest rated power ranking team in the Mo Valley and suffered a 5-point loss to the Sycamores yesterday after blowing a half time lead of 8 points, and then their #21 ranked defense in CBB gave up a whopping 49 points in the second half (they give up just 61 ppg overall!). Loyola is 12 points better on my power ratings, they are the #1 offensive efficiency team in the Mo Valley, and #2 on defense. They had a bad day Sunday, and they will come out with purpose and some fire in their belly here today with some serious revenge on their mind. I expect the jump out early and play well here in revenge mode big time. They led by 8 yesterday at the half and I expect the same thing here tonight, especially off a loss. On the overall line of -6 for the game you have a 6 point overlay alone, but I do think the first half is more than safe for an easy winner here. First Half line play.

As per our selection on the over in this game between Spezia and Sampdoria, when these two teams play, you can almost be certain there are going to be goals scored. For Spezia, they come off a 2-1 win against Napoli despite being reduced to 10-men. That's a confidence-building win and we think they are a live team today to grab some more points. What's more important though, is the fact that six of their last eight home games have produced over 2.5 goals and saw both teams score. As for Sampdoria, they also come off a boosting win, beating Inter 2-1. Sampdoria games have proved even more fruitful this season as they've hit the over 2.5 goal mark in nine of their last 10 competitive matches as well as six of their last eight away games have hit that mark. If this game ended 0-0, I would be utterly shocked. Take the over in this contest as both teams play very little defense.

David Moyes takes his Premier League side to National League side Stockport (England's fifth division) on Monday. West Ham sit in tenth place in the Premier League on 26 points level with two other sides and only three points out of the top four and a place in Europe next season. West Ham are unbeaten in their last three matches, winning their last match 1-0 at Everton in a hard fought defensive battle. This is a great opportunity for West Ham to kickstart their offense which really has not been in high gear, it has been their defense that has them in tenth place. For Stockport, they are in fourth place in the National League, 14 points out of first place and an automatic promotion to League Two. Stockport are also unbeaten in their last three coming off a 2-2 home draw against fifth place Altrincham. The host are unbeaten in their last five with four of the five matches hitting 3 or more goals. We have seen many Premier League sides roll through lower league opposition, but that is not always the case, but we do see a ton of goals in this match.

Per this selection, Northern Iowa should do well today. This is a dangerous game for Bradley aftr a phenomenal game against Missouri. Yes, we know Northern Iowa only has 2 wins this year but that is not fair given the schedule they have played. Coach Jacobson's team won 25 games last year, they played a good Western Kentucky team close, they only lost to St. Mary's by 4 points, they lost to Richmond by just 10 away from home and they beat a good Missouri State team by 10 points. This is a team that takes care of the ball and is top 100 in taking care of the ball, has 3 seniors and keep in mind that for as good as Bradley is, they do not take care of the ball well and they are not a very good 3 point shooting team which could spell disaster against a half court offense like Northern Iowa here who is very disciplined. We roll with Northern Iowa today.

We like Sassuolo in this spot as they rebounded from their 5-1 loss at fourth place Atalanta with a 2-1 win at home over 17th place Genoa. They have played two of the best sides in Italy over the last three weeks, though both were losses, they held their own against first place AC Milan. Minus the loss at Atalanta, Sassuolo were unbeaten in their previous seven away matches, winning five. For Juventus, they are coming off back to back wins including a 3-1 win at leaders AC Milan. These two wins have Juventus up to fifth place in the League, however only one of their last four home matches has been by more than 1 goal, with a draw and a 3-0 loss in their as well. Add in Matthijs de Ligt out for this match which will mean a mixup on the back line and Juve will have trouble with this strong Sassuolo attack. The last two meetings between these two sides have ended in draws.

The Ravens will aim to exact revenge for last year's playoff loss but I'm betting they won't be successful. Tennessee has had Lamar Jackson's number and while the Ravens are being talked about as having hit their stride, let's not fail to mention the late season surge came against the Bengals, Giants, Jaguars, and Cowboys, and a 47-42 win against Cleveland could have gone either way with Baltimore scoring a FG and safety in the final 7 seconds of the 4th quarter. Tennessee has handled the Ravens, upsetting Baltimore 28-12 in last year's playoffs and they beat them again this season, 30-24. Obviously, both teams have been ultra-successful running the football in 2020 but we trust in Derrick Henry who can pound right at Raven CBs. Henry ran for 328 yards on 58 carries in the last two meetings (5.66 yards per carry) and we expect more of the same against a Ravens' defense allowing 4.6 yards per pop. Meanwhile, the Titans held Lamar Jackson to 54.5% passing in the two wins, picking off 3 passes while allowing just 2 TDs. We really do feel that Tennessee has Baltimore's number and with the Ravens' defense still struggling against the run, I'm taking the points with the Titans on Sunday.

Whatever line you get we recommended it as a play. The Sun Devils were missing 4 players on Thursday from their overtime loss to UCLA. Not going to try and speculate who will be playing this afternoon, but I just do not believe they can bounce back in less than 48 hours against a more talented USC team. The Trojans dominated the second half against the Wildcats on Thursday in route to their 14 point victory. They have great size that should be able to take advantage of the Sun Devils inside the paint. The Sun Devils got up for their game Thursday, but the second game back after missing key players is usually a lot tougher to maintain and that will be the case tonight. This ASU team already had chemistry issues before Thursday, and 3 of their 4 losses have come by 9 points or more. USC is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games. The Trojans are also 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games played on Saturday. ASU is 0-8 ATS in their last 8 home games.
