So is there any new rumours about Kane though?

No transfer rumours but only some comments from the player and Nuno clearing the earlier rumours spread after Kane missing his training. He is gonna train soon and will join Spurs.  Now I am getting a feeling that Kane is probably gonna stay.
This lad is probably not going anywhere,  as fans let's not keep our hopes high from the looks of things Tottenham still need him, hope this denied transfer doesn't kill his morale to play football at its best.

PSG are yet to officially announce Messi's deal, but there have been significant changes to clubs reputation and it's "PSG fan Token" has already seen an increase of over 30% in the last 48 hours.
PSG fan token are these genuine tokens, and as far as football goes I have only heard of the Juventus coin, will have to look into the PSG coin hope it as a good concept for being created.

I'm really not convinced of the possibility of an hijacked deal from Chelsea, even though there have been several talks about that.
Chelsea is well known for hijacking deals that look like it's done nothing can go wrong, don't underestimate them, ask Manchester United fans they know them better.

If I'm not mistaken, 5 years ago, the compensation for Messi was in the region of $ 200 million, plus the obligation to pay a larger salary. Now they got it for free as the contract between Messi and Barcelona has expired. It's a bargain even if Messi doesn't play well - in essence they are buying a name for their club, which is struggling to become legendary.
Messi's PSG shirt anyone?
Assuming PSG will convince Messi to sign the deal in the next hours, then they are not only lucky to get him for free but also will get incomes from other sources.
I am pretty sure Messi will not take a long time to adapt to Ligue 1 but he has to cooperate with his teammate at a high level to win CL this season. There is no excuse for them.

It is weird for PSG to pay this much for Messi as well, nobody really talks about that part of the deal. I understand that getting Messi is a big deal for PSG and yes he is a great player but dude is 34 years old and they will be paying 40 million euro per year for a 34 year old. I get that he is probably the best 34 year old out there but still it is 34 years old. I think this could be a bit of a overpay by PSG, otherwise City could have gotten him as well, or even Barcelona could have kept him at the team as well, but because PSG paid soooo much more than what he should be paid, he went to PSG.

I honestly think that this is some sort of great deal for PSG only if they end up winning the league, the cup, and UCL all at the same time, if not then they are paying way too much for a failure.

Some details of the upcoming agreement between Lionel Messi and PSG have become known, writes L'Equipe.

It is alleged that the Argentine will earn under the contract 40 million euros per year, and upon transition will receive a signature bonus of 30 million euros.

Earlier, there were rumors that Messi's father would fly to Paris to settle the final details of the contract, but the parties decided to do it remotely.

The agreement will be signed according to the "2 + 1" scheme.

Imagine if Inter weren't in Italy they would be disallowed and penalized with default.
It was one year that I told this to you guys.

They won a title without even paid salaries to players or the payment of the player.
Hakimi has never been paid...

They are selling Lautaro too now according to rumors

I believe that selling Lukaku for that high price will help them to offset plenty of their financial problems for now. The first mistake they made was to make their debt accumulate and now they're paying the price for their past mistakes. Lukaku is a vital part of their current team and losing him could hurt their title aspirations for the new season but they're in a tight corner.

Lukaku + Lautaro, I guess there isn't much we should expect from inter next season now that they're close to making those transfers.

Just saw a tweet from @Goal about Messi having medicals with PSG tomorrow following rumors of his move.

I also saw a video of dozens of PSG fans who were waiting at the airport for his arrival. Its beginning to look certain.

It's been rumoured that Manchester City or PSG will sign Lionel Messi soon. But I've seen this news today:

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58114039

Guardiola says that Messi is not in their thoughts now. He thought that Messi would stay at Barcelona. They signed Jack Grealish and gave the number 10 to him. So, it looks like we may not see Messi at City. PSG seem to be closer to sign him very soon. As they have Neymar and Mbappe also, they will be the deadliest trio surely.

Guardiola signed Jack Grealish a few days ago. Now they don't seem to be thinking of taking Messi to the team. Manchester City will have to spend a lot of money to get Messi in the team, Manchester City may not spend that much extra money at the moment. Messi's next destination is most likely to be PSG. Because there is no shortage of money of PSG. But as far as it seems, Messi will decide to stay in Barcelona at the last moment.

Staying at Barcelona? There is no way for it. Haven't you seen that Barcelona are not able to sign Messi because of having a bad financial condition. And the offer they were preparing to make was against La Liga's structures. So this means there is no way that Barcelona can sign Messi now.

So, we should focus on which team he will go to. City or PSG?

That's right, Messi is definitely leaving Barcelona and nothing can change that anymore
Barcelona is in huge financial trouble and can't keep Messi because otherwise they would have violated the financial "fair play ' rule  of the Spanish league.
Many years of bad club politics have come to fruition and now the club is in serious trouble,  without Messi and with a lot of key injured players at the start of the new football season.
I hate to be the one to break it to you all but I think its high time Messi left Barcelona fc I mean he's been playing at the club for like what since he was a teenager. The guy played with Xavi and the  likes. We love messi but he's not as young as he used to be. A new challenge is what he needs. Messi is a Barca legend and will be missed but Barcelona will do just fine without him.

After all these rumours about Kane and Haaland spreading around like wildfire, Lukaku is the one that was transferred for 115 million lol

So is there any new rumours about Kane though?

If this is not just a rumour, then congrats to Messi! He had two big options to make a decision: Manchester City and PSG.

The deal is pretty much done as we speak. Its PSG for sure and there is no way that Messi is coming to Premier League ( I honestly want Messi to join Premier League but I dont want Manchester City to be the club that signed him lol ). PSG could offer him higher wage compared with all other clubs out there and Neymar as well as Di Maria is probably convincing him to join to PSG.

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4446853/psg-contact-lionel-messieager-to-make-a-deal-happen-sources

According to ESPN, PSG are ready to make a new offer for Lionel Messi. And as we all know, Mbappe has been wishing to leave the team as soon as possible to join Real Madrid. Now, if Messi joins PSG officially, maybe Mbappe would like to think of not leaving again. Because I assume that he would like to play alongside Messi and Neymar both rather than playing at Real Madrid.
As Cygan mentioned above, Messi's deal is almost done for 3 years with an optional third year. For now, I see La Liga less attractive and less competitive than EPL. Ligue 1 isn't better for sure but talking about a possible CL title for PSG this season should convince Mbappe to stay there this season imo.
Just about number 10, it appears that Messi is fine with having his old 19 in his shirt.

If this is not just a rumour, then congrats to Messi! He had two big options to make a decision: Manchester City and PSG. And it looks like he has made his decision already. It was said that Messi turned down Neymar's offer to give him the number 10. So he will most probably have the number 19. It will make me feel really different to see him playing at a different team after performing so many years at Barcelona. I hope that Messi adapts to the team very quickly and continues from where he left.

Any updates on Arsenal interest on the player. If I recall correctly, they were interested in Locatelli and were also going hard for the player until Juventus came in and player also showed interest to join Juventus over Arsenal. Now I don't see any interests linking to Arsenal and Locatelli. I think that much from Arsenal if Arsenal were really interested in the player.

I didn't see any news about Arsenal and Locatelli, I guess they are not looking for him anymore. Juventus offered 30 million Euro but it's declined, they should make a better offer. Nedved said their offer is reasonable for a covid season. We could expect 40+ million offer in a regular season but pandemic hit clubs very hard financially. I agree with him, we are not having normal days and clubs shouldn't spend more than what they can afford.

I too think the 30 million offer is good value to both the teams but it seems Sassuolo are playing bit hard to get. Guess they just want to make most from the sale of the young talent. I also wouldn't blame them as it is very hard for them to make some good money and buy some players and build up the squad. But yeah Sassuolo also needs to think about the situation and maybe lower the offer they expect.

Juventus wants Locatelli so bad while Sassuolo is trying hard to raise the price as much as possibile. Carnevali has warned all buyers several times that for his talent he has a precise price request which, for now, Juventus has not yet satisfied. Yesterday there was a new contact between the clubs to try to unblock the deal.
Sassuolo is asking for 35 million euros, it considers it the threshold at which it can satisfy all parties involved. The distance is not abysmal, moreover, the will of Locatelli to marry the Juventus cause remains very strong. It should be a matter of days now.

Guys I have rarely seen this thread growing by several pages within a single day. This seems to be record breaking since it is known that Messi is going to leave Barcelona Wink Not that this thread hasn't always been pretty lively, but this is for sure an interesting one. Don't know if it was the same when Ronaldo transferred to Juventus, but maybe that was more obvious because Ronaldo was in a very bad mood there already.

Barcelona will miss Messi. They don't have any idea what they have lost. Even Messi offered 50% reduction in salary and he tried his best  not to leave his years of bounding with Barcelona.

Although Messi did his best to stay in Barcelona, he can't avoid leaving. It's the saddest part of life, you'll surely be missed. Once again, he showed so much attachment and emotion to FC Barcelona. Honestly, this man deserves the respect of all football fans. The FC Barcelona will never be the same after this, it's hard to take.

Imagine being an Inter Milan fan during this transfer window lol
Source from him always true and accurate about player transfer because Fabrizio Romano was an Italian journalist, almost his tweet always true and 100% is happening, when Manchester United success got Jordan Sacho and Lionel Messi left Barcelona. Just waiting with Chelsea official announcement about Lukaku and waiting with how much value transfer for this player.

I’d wait for confirmation from both the club and the player.  The deal is prolly really close to happening but saying it’s ‘confirmed’, dunno about that.  It looks like that journo just trying to be first to break the news even though he’s not 100% sure yet.
Yup, its last week he himself saying that lukaku untouchable. but now its nearly confirmed, he said...

well if this transfer didnt happened then his records to become the number one trusted source would get scratched.
im not really agree to bring lukaku back and with 100m+ as a transfer fee .. better wait for haaland ,damn abramovich come on.

because Messi is our friend, he is the man after Ronaldo. Both are already not young, but still, have glamor which can attract every club. Actually, Messi fits in the club which can make him stay in all time, I do not agree he going to PSG or ManCity, he will make dim another player, IMO, Messi is suitable going to AC Milan or MU, club which has history, but we can't be prevented him if want big cash.

source image ; goal.com

Very true and it wouldn't surprise me if the deal with PSG comprises agreements that we will never hear of. Ways to pay him much more than just the salary. He could be offered paid positions for no work in a couple of years for an oil company and what not. There are many ways to eventually circumvent financial fair play.

Yeah I feel the pain of Inter fan after losing Conte, Eriksen, Sancho and Lukaku in few weeks!

but it is reportedly that Barcelona fans aren't in better humor neither after seeing Messi quitting the team Roll Eyes

Messi vacating Barcelona football club is not like every other transfer, like that of Lukaku if Chelsea finally gets him, I thought there was something else about Messi recent leaving Barcelona, but after his press briefing I now understand more, this wasn't like any other players transferring from one club to another, this was a circumstances surrounded deal breaker between Messi and Barcelona, I think he is still Barcelona and every thing Barcelona, I won't be supprised if he goes back to his home side club or any other league aside europe.
