Yesterday AS Monaco played their seventh match this season in Ligue1 and also won at Rennes. Today PSG will also face Nice at Allianz Riviera and if PSG can win in that away match, of course their position will not change because PSG can return to their top position. But apart from all that, I also quite agree with what you said, where I also hope that Monaco can continue to be consistent in winning their matches this season so that Monaco can become a tough competitor for PSG this season so that it can make Ligue1 more interesting to watch.
Sure, PSG will take the lead back to the top if they win because they have a better goal differential than Monaco. In yesterday's match against Monaco, Rennes rally made an impression. In addition to having more goal attempts, the home team had superior ball possession. However, those impressive stats did not result in victory. After the defeat, they are now in tenth place, which is not promising.

Following their defeats in the continental competition, Paris Saint-Germain and Nice will look for every way to win again. PSG was soundly defeated by Arsenal, and Nice was defeated by Lazio, an Italian team.  Les Aiglons, who finished in the top five last season, have not been as impressive in the domestic league as they were last season. They have only triumphed twice, both times against lowly teams Saint-Etienne and Angers. To even earn a point from this game, coach Franck Haise's team will have to pull off an incredible feat. Strikers such as Evann Guessand, Youssoufa Moukoko, and Jeremie Boga will be a threat for PSG to contend with.

Monaco are going pretty even with PSG this season. Even number of matches played so far by these two teams where two teams have equal number of points and two teams have won equal number of matches and these two teams have drawn one match each. PSG have won the title in other seasons as auto choice in France League but Monaco's performance this season looks like they will give PSG tough competition this season. It was a bit different that every season PSG won the local league title without a tough competition but if Monaco could win the title instead of PSG this season then it would be a big event by France. Monaco will have to perform in such a plan to win the title, but they can be successful in this competition.
It might be a tough challenge for Monaco as PSG is still one of the strongest teams in the French Soccer league and dominates the league (league 1) the most. Monaco's performance in Ligue One this season has been excellent as they are already at the top of the points table after winning a few matches. Which makes them think that they are one of the best contenders to win the League One title this year. Maybe PSG Club will not be left behind in this journey because their position and strength this season is already second in the points table with one match less than Monaco. PSG's next match is against Nice team, maybe PSG will win this match. If PSG wins this match, they will move above Monaco in the points table.

The match is ended to draw and Angers is the team from relegation zone and Angers too is the only team who still unable to gets the winning result in Ligue 1 so i thought Marseille will be easily to beat this team but clearly i was wrong about that because Angers is successfully to stole point from Marseille and previously i expect Marseille can being an strong contender for PSG for race title but apparently Marseille still unable to playing consistent and in the last 2 matches in Ligue 1 actually Marseille only facing weak teams but unfortunately Marseille cannot beat their opponents

About the match against Angers actually Marseille is really dominate the game with 77% ball possession but apparently these statistics were useless because Marseille cannot beat Angers and this match apparently has high tension because the players from both of teams has been received the red card and these situation too makes Marseille lost their rhythm and cannot broke the defense of Angers

~snip~
Marseille got me surprised actually as i literally expected more of them and so that performance for me was way below expectations. They had an opponent i wouldn't see as an equal to them considering their form and strength this season and the depth of their squad this season as well as their performance this season, even if it was a victory with a slim edge probably by a goal wouldn't have been seen any less but a draw even if it doesn't happen o be goalless isn't one we should see as really encouraging and to think that they did played so well in that game and their opponent wasn't dominant as they were in that game, I'm believing they will be doing better they have still got some more time before the season goes far.
Not only you but everyone must be very surprised by this because Marseille previously performed quite well and in this match they only played against Angers, the team that is at the bottom of the rankings and is the only one that has not won single match at the start of this season.
Angers is promotion team this season and the draw is very detrimental to Marseille because they can only save 1 point and it is likely that Marseille will be left behind by fairly wide margin later because PSG will only play against Nice and that could be an easy match for PSG to win.
However, what is regrettable is that Marseille has to lose Neal Maupay due to getting red card and he is one of the main players for the front line who will be absent in the next few match in Ligue 1.

I don't believe this final result, it seems like there is a problem being faced by de zerbi's troops after previously starting the season very well but in the last two matches there was a decline in performance, and in the match against Angers today it should be easy to get 3 points considering that Angers is a weak team that is at the bottom of the standings and marseille is playing at home, even marseille was only able to score a goal in the second half but unfortunately the narrow advantage was equalized by Angers, Is this a sign that marseille will not be strong enough to compete with PSG? because initially I hoped they would put pressure on and be able to destroy PSG's dominance.
I expected so much from Marseille this season but how till this time they are not appearing like they have gotten a pattern and form already is something that is getting me disappointed at some point because ordinarily with the kind of squad they were able to build over the summer they should be able to achieve so much already but then it may turn out that this form of there's wouldn't let them be able to match up with PSG as expected of them such that for once again PSG gat a matching contender and will have to work hard if they will be bale to win the league title.
After an impressive start to the new season, it seems Marseille is back to their poor performances of last season. Playing at home against Angers, I predicted that Marseille will easily win the game and even had to stake a huge bet on it only to be disappointed at the end. Another thing to worry about Marseille at the moment is the discipline of the players as they've picked up red in three of their last four games in all competitions. Paris Saint Germaine travel to Nice tomorrow and considering their convincing performances in recent games, getting all three points shouldn't be a big issue for Luis Enrique's men.

Although Marseille dominated the course of the match, the team coached by De Zerbi's squad was no longer able to defeat their opponent. Well, Marseille has played 2 matches without getting positive results. It is very unfortunate, if the two teams above Marseille win their matches, then Marseille will find it quite difficult to catch up on the points difference. IMO, De Zerbi must correct his team again. In addition to their declining performance, it seems that Marseille's players lack discipline. In 7 matches, especially in the last 4 matches, Marseille has received 3 red cards. Clearly, this is not good for De Zerbi in the future. therefore, he must evaluate the players in his team.
Marseille seems to be getting worse and worse, these are not acceptable results, not against these teams at least. I doubt they will go back to last years position, they will finish better than last year, but they are not going to finish that high, not at top three if they keep this up. That's the most important part, fourth place goes to UCL qualifiers and that is worst they can do, anything lower than that and they spent money for nothing, it wouldn't be worth it at all to be just in Europa league, they could do that with less money, it wouldn't be profitable. And if they get these results a few more times then top four would be a pipe dream for them. They need to recover and fix whatever is wrong and win some games.

Marseille had a good start and at the start of the season when I saw this good performance from this team I was expecting to see Marseille racing with PSG for the title of the French League because of the players they hired during the summer especially Greenwood and De Rebi working in this team. But far they had a bad performance in the two last games while they could win both with good results.
De Zarbi should find the weaknesses as soon as possible in Marseille and avoid losing more points in this team.
However other than Marseille, in the French League so far Monaco was a better competitor for PSG and they are in the first place of the table.

Relax, friends, maybe it's still early in the season, they are still testing some strategies that they can try to improve their abilities in the middle of the season, although some of these matches have disappointments in the results, and are currently still very far from PSG's ability to be above the clouds, because they have quality and have better performance consistency. Losing to Lyon and drawing against Angers left them with a considerable points gap with the owners of the top of the table.

If they continue like that and have no significant development I think Marseille will not be able to compete with PSG further.

Marseille are like a team that has run out of steam, they started smoothly, but now they have started to lose points in two consecutive matches. As a result, Marseille are now five points behind AS Monaco at the top of the standings, it seems they have failed to meet expectations to compete closely with PSG this season. It is indeed too early to talk about it, where the season is still very long, but losing points from a team in the relegation zone has raised concerns. The match which was marked by red cards for both teams, made the course of the match limping, so that Marseille failed to secure full points this week.

The budget that has been spent by Marseille is quite large, they should be able to create better consistency, and finish in a better place this season. By only focusing on domestic competitions, De Zerbi task is relatively easier. The international break gives De Zerbi the opportunity to evaluate his team shortcomings, so that in the future they can rise and continue to pressure PSG and AS Monaco.

Somehow, I'm beginning to see it resulting from the fact that its been a series of tight game schedule for these teams and they are trying to see how well they can mange the situation even with all of the busy schedules and al they could do is to just play and hope they get lucky somehow but the players may actually be fatigued and now they are mostly playing based off priority because that may turn out the best way to get the kind of results they may want to get as much as they want it because you see them playing some game with more determination and strength than the other and that could be only due to priority.

In all this you can say that things are focused a lot on the teams that are bigger, but in general I have seen that Ligue 1 is one of the most criticized, but things are also different, for example the fact that in the UCL Lille beat Real Madrid, that was something that made all the bets fall, and this is a fact that now things are going to be more focused on the fact that anything can happen and the fact is that each game is a different story, any team can win, you can't say with certainty as before which team will win, anything can influence now.

Draws against teams that are currently far below them have made Marseille slowly start to move away from PSG and Monaco, previously they also failed to pick up points after the defeat to Strasbourg and obviously this makes us ask about what is happening to Marseille at the moment?
Simply put, it is always difficult to maintain the team's performance and continue to win matches every week. Not only Marseille experienced this, but many other top teams also did the same. Marseille's losses and draws in their last two matches in Ligue 1 are normal, but of course there is definitely something they are lacking in these two matches.

Starting the season quite well and unbeaten in 5 match previously but they have to give up with a team whose quality is lower than they are in the league,
In La Liga, Barcelona had 6 consecutive wins, but they were defeated by Osasuna in the 7th match. Losing doesn't mean it's bad in a match, of course sometimes you have to review how well the opposing team is playing which results in the other team's strategy being ineffective. Marseille's defeat was natural, they will evaluate it and improve it in the next match.

Marseille lost two points by having a 1-1 draw. It is really inexplicable...  Sad  I mean how can you do it against the team at the deepest point of the league? I checked their history in Marseille's stadium as well. There was nothing like Angers were countering them often or so. I can't even say they were unlucky. Because they couldn't hold the control of the game in their hands completely.

First the Strasbourg loss and now this happened. Of course there is no such thing as a team will continue winning forever. But at least they shouldn't have done it against Angers. It was the easiest fixture for them technically.
Marseille who draw most matches and lose less matches.  If you watch their past matches, you will see only wins and draws.  Marseille comes to play. Marseille beat strong teams like Augsburg, Lyon, Nice, Toulouse all with good goals. You can't call it weak considering the match where the match was a draw.  But matches sometimes end in draws and that doesn't mean they are weak.  Marseille could have won this match, but you can also see that the opposing team also came to play, surely they are weak or strong and their pressure was also there due to which the match was drawn.  If you think about it, this match is a draw rather than a loss for Marseille.  Marseille will continue to win matches.  If Marseille never won, why did they lose once again in these few matches?

But we can't deny that surprises will always be present in a match where the favorite team cannot always win easily from a weak team, I think the main factor in Marseille defeat in that match is none other than because they underestimated the angers in the match and that made them lose focus.

Angers have not won any game since the League began. They have managed to draw two games and lost the rest. The club will be hoping to get a win in this game but it will be a mission impossible to beat a formidable side like Marseille. Marseille is currently occupying the third position and has just lost one game.

I was really surprised that they lost the encounter with Strasbourg in their last game. They will be hoping to return to winning ways in today's game. The game is currently on and no side has gotten a goal. It will be safer to bet on Marseille because they have a higher chance of winning.

Rennes - Monaco

On paper, Monaco are the favorites to win the game, but they are not huge favorites. The bookmakers are only placing Monaco as a slight favorite, which shows that this is a difficult game to predict even though Monaco have been performing well in the last 5 games to the point of not losing a single one while their opponents in the last 5 games have only had 1 win, even though in the h2h between these two teams Monaco have had the advantage
I have the same thoughts as you because after seeing the odds given by the bookmaker, the difference is only a very thin difference and makes me doubt if the match has the opportunity for a draw.
After that I explore more deeply and look for the best bet for me and find the results of predictions as follows.

Rennes vs Monaco (Monaco Over 1.5)
Lille vs Toulouse (Over 2.5)
Saint-Etienne vs Auxerre (Under 2.5)

I hope Lille gets a score of more than 3 in this match because Toulouse is currently unstable.

About Lille playing at home, of course, they are the favorite team to win, but for some reason, it seems that Lille will find it difficult to win this home match. Because at least, last season Toulouse also managed not to lose against Lille and thus, I think Toulouse is still able to make it difficult for Lille in this match. Although indeed, Lille has a chance to win but I'm not sure if in this match there will be many goals like the option you chose about over 2.5. Because at least, so far Toulouse is also not very good at scoring goals and thus, maybe Toulouse will prioritize defensive play and thus, I'm sure this match will not have many goals.

About the match between Rennes vs Monaco, of course this will be an interesting match because considering the current points, Monaco has the same points as PSG. Thus, even though Monaco is playing away, Monaco should still get good results, of course to maintain its good position in the fight for the trophy this season. At least, Monaco also has good results every time they play against Rennes and thus, the odds in the range of @2.xx are also good odds for us to choose Monaco to win.

Marseille vs Angers.

~~
Olympic Marseille's record at home this season have been nothing short of impressive so it's most likely that hosting Angers tonight will definitely be an easy game for them to grab all three points. Roberto De Zerbi seems to have found the missing link between Marseille and winning games as his team is now playing like a strong contender for the French league title this season. The game is less than 40 minutes from kickoff and I'll definitely be watching it so see if Mason Greenwood will continue his impressive form this season or not. Apart from winning the game, if you're to stake on the game, I think you should also go for the option of the game to produce 3+ goals
The outcome of the game took a different slide with both sides sharing points. The early red card's in the 26th and 30th minutes of the first half time wasn't what we all had expected which inadvertently really affected the game result. Returning to the second half It didn't took El Melali   much time to level the game for his side Angers to 1:1  after Rowe J. goal which gave Marseille the earlier lead.

This would be the second game to which Marseille is dropping point after their 1 nil defeat they suffered away against Strasbourg. The standings now leaves Marseille in 3rd position n the Ligue1 table with 14 points, 2 points behind  PSG and Monaco who are at the moment holding the 1st & 2nd position's respectively.

This match seems a bit funny, Angers who got a red card in the 26th minute should have been an advantage for the home team. In fact, the opposite happened, Neal Maupay got a second yellow card which eventually had to leave the field because the referee issued a red card. had taken the lead first in the 51st minute, not long after 3 minutes later the away team was able to equalize. Although Marseille dominated the course of the match, the team coached by De Zerbi's squad was no longer able to defeat their opponent. Well, Marseille has played 2 matches without getting positive results. This is quite a disappointing result for Marseille because they had to draw at their home ground against a team that is actually far below them. They actually got the momentum when Angers received a red card, but not long after that they also had to play with 10 men. I think they can still win, because there is no reason why they can't win because on paper they are much better.
But that's how football works, no matter which team, no matter what the difference in strength, when a team has to draw then that's what will happen. It's quite unfortunate that Marseille couldn't secure full points this week.
