Mason Greenwood is a remarkable talent, and I never doubted his potential when he was at Manchester United. I had a strong feeling he would make an impact at Olympique Marseille, and he has certainly lived up to expectations. Greenwood has an impressive stats in the Ligue 1 this season. Though Greenwood has been a standout performer, his club has faced challenges on the defensive end, their poor back line could be a big problem in their pursuit of the league title. Both Marseille and AS Monaco currently hold second and third places respectively, but their poor defense may hold them back from truly challenging PSG for the title. Unless Marseille and Monaco can find a way to strengthen their defenses and maintain their current form, it will be difficult for either team to dethrone PSG.
Irrespective of the position they both hold at the moment, I still believe that Marseille will outperform Monaco this season in the league and they would also make a better title contenders than Monaco because Monaco obviously lack the qualities required to be title contenders against teams like PSG. The presence of Mason Greenwood in the Marseille team has greatly improved the performance of the team and he and his colleagues have made olympique Marseille a better team than they were in the last ten years and I believe this improvement will secure them a place in the champions league next season because that's where they ought to be.
Marseille courage to invest in a talented player like Mason Greenwood is commendable, so far the former Manchester United player has been able to adapt smoothly under De Zerbi control. It is very possible that Marseille will compete closely with PSG, and it would be nice if AS Monaco were also involved, it would make Ligue 1 more competitive than previous seasons. Actualy, AS Monaco potential cannot be underestimated, currently they are performing well in the Champions League, I think PSG and Marseille must remain vigilant against AS Monaco strength. On the other hand, Marseille does have a great chance of getting a ticket to the Champions League next season.

In last few years we have Monaco and Marseille living under shadow of the PSG due to lack of funds and quality players which can give them good challengers for leaders in this league as we all know PSG is having luxury of things which needed to stay at the top in any league.

In early rounds, we have good performance from the Monaco, but now things are letting them down from top in last three games we have one point for the Monaco and their defeat at home against relegation zone team Angers were shocking as well Marseille is also doing good but in last few games their quality is also coming down which is the biggest concern for them while we have PSG only undefeated team into league which is doing good job and having chance of staying at the top for long time, but they also have struggling time in Champions League as they are going to host Atlético Madrid and then going to visit Bayern Munich in next round.
I agree. In recent years, we have seen both Monaco and Marseille live in the shadow of PSG, primarily due to the disparity in financial resources. However, this does not mean they lack the potential to challenge PSG for the Ligue 1 title. An example from the Premier League is Leicester City, who managed to win the 2015/2016 season despite having a squad that was considered weaker than those of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal. This shows that financial power does not always equate to success and that upsets can happen.

However, Ligue 1 currently lacks the competitive depth seen in leagues like the Premier League, where multiple teams can realistically fight for the title. Despite some promising performances by Monaco and Marseille, PSG continues to dominate. Monaco, for instance, has shown inconsistency this season, with losses to OGC Nice and Angers, a team facing relegation battles. Similarly, Marseille has also dropped points unexpectedly against teams like Strasbourg and Angers. Meanwhile, PSG remains the only unbeaten team in Ligue 1 this season, underscoring their superiority domestically. At present, it seems unlikely that any team in Ligue 1 can genuinely challenge PSG for the title this season.

A very striking difference from Paris Saint Germain's performance in Ligue 1 and also in the Champions League. In Ligue 1 they are very tough and have not been defeated so far, while in the Champions League they have felt 2 defeats from 4 matches they have played. That makes them outside the standings that can compete for tickets to the last 16. Because in the Champions League this season only 8 clubs automatically qualify while the 9th to 24th ranks must go through the play-off round. I think it will be very difficult for them to do that, it's just that with the remaining 4 matches that will still be played, they still have the opportunity to improve their position, as long as they can achieve positive results from the remaining 4 matches.
Every season we can see how PSG is able to dominate Ligue 1 but on the contrary we see them often poor in UCL so far, the difference in mentality and also the performance they show in the two competitions shows how the capacity they have as a big team so far, what we see this season shows how low the mentality they have in UCL due to the easy competition that occurs in Ligue 1 at this time, although they are very dominant in Ligue 1, but the competition in the UCL has a different level of difficulty, because the teams they face in the UCL usually have higher quality with experience competing in a more competitive domestic league so far, although at this time PSG chances of automatic qualification may have disappeared, but I think they still have a chance to improve their position to qualify through the play off, for now they should be able to focus on each match and try to achieve positive results so that at least the opportunity is still maintained later.

Marseille returned to winning ways and overtook the two teams above them, namely Lille and Manaco. Lille and Manaco did not play their matches optimally, so they were unable to widen the points gap from the team below them plus approach PSG's points. Meanwhile, Marseille returned to winning ways after defeating Nantes in an away match, and rose to runner-up, 6 points behind the team at the top of the standings.

Marseille deserved to win their away game against Nantes, although both teams had almost the same chances in attack, the real difference was the possession between the two teams. Nantes only had 26% while Marseille had the other 74%, that was the real difference why Marseille could get their 3 points. Now Marseille is getting closer to PSG, in the next match Marseille will meet Auxerre, I've no doubt they will get 3 points because this match is also their home match.
They were able to reach second place after beating Nantes with a narrow score, but this also happened because their 2 competitors failed to get a win in week 10. They did not miss this opportunity so that now they are in the runner-up position, just below Paris Saint Germain. 6 points is their distance from Paris Saint Germain, not a distance that looks far but in Ligue 1 it will be very difficult to catch up because the team above them is Paris Saint Germain. I think I don't need to explain again why I said it was something that would be very difficult to catch up. Well their job now is consistency, and actually that is something we always see.

When PSG started the new season without Mbappe, the only talk was that PSG might not win the France League final this season and their early performances made it seem that way, but now they are back at the top of the points table. Their performances now look like they will win the France League title this season either way. They realize that their team is not as strong as it used to be but they still have to finish the season with this team as there is no chance that they will bring a quality player to the club at will. But expect them to do whatever it takes to strengthen their squad next season, and once again they will be lining up to do well in the Champions League tournament.

The story is always different when it comes to local league. They are the dominant in the league and that's not going to change anytime soon from all indications. The league is very average with lack of investment and gradually losing its popularity. We can better assess PSG in the champions league and we'll certainly discover how much they've decline in performance. Being dominant in the home league is boring and their attention should now be channel to UCL to prove their worth. There's lack of precision in their forward and Enrique should fix that as soon as possible or they might probably even slip down on the table.

When it comes to Europe's top five leagues, people usually think of the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1. For various reasons, Ligue 1 is gradually losing its position. For myself, I'll be honest. Since Lionel Messi and Neymar left PSG. I haven't cared about Ligue 1.

Honestly I don't think PSG club has huge fan base. Players like Neymar, Mbappe and Messi played for PSG, which created a fanbase for PSG. And I used to watch PSG matches regularly. But after these three stars left PSG, PSG also naturally lost many of their fans. Not many people look forward to PSG matches these days.

However, Ligue 1 is not as competitive. PSG is the richest club in Ligue 1 and their squad is also the strongest. So it is natural to see the dominance of PSG in Ligue 1. But PSG is failing to perform well in the Champions League.

However, despite PSG performing well in their home match against Atletico Madrid, they lost yesterday. I'd say it's PSG's bad luck. Because we saw the dominance of PSG in the entire match. Correa's goal in extra time after 90 minutes won the match for Atlético Madrid.

French Ligue 1 is surely losing its popularity and fan base due to poor quality and dominance of one club PSG with French soccer organization is also doing nothing for improving quality and bringing investors which bring funds which are essential for development of game and league as well we have some improvement in few clubs, but sadly consistency is still not which is problem and quality is also not as par we need for having good entertaining.
I have known all this while that a time is definitely coming when the ligue one isn't going to be getting as much attention as it's expected because of the consistent dominance of a particular team, so it turns out its just a repetition and so even before the end of the season we have a good idea what the result would be, sometimes you can even express certainty about the team who is going to win the league title, Marseille and the likes of Monaco are trying to get the narrative changed but they are lacking the effort to get than done let's hope they achieve that some day.

First is the poor performance of French clubs in European Cups, especially the Champions League and Europa League. 2nd, Apart from PSG who regularly wins the domestic championship, the position of other clubs is very difficult to predict. And although France is the cradle of many of the world's top stars, many of these players choose to join English or Spanish football. Clubs in this league face more challenges in attracting good players or retaining stars as is happening with PSG in the Mbappe case. A league without competition, no superstars, and boring. I say it harshly but watching Saudi Pro League is better than Ligue 1.

But I do admit that Lens has very good defense but they are weak in attack, all of this can be seen from the way Lens plays in each match and also Lens statistics in the number of goal they can get and also the number of goal conceded they receive, both show quite low numbers compared to several other team.
It seems that your opinion is contrary to your previous bets. If indeed you predict the statistics of the two teams and say if the two teams have a small amount of conceding, shouldn't you choose under 3 or under 2.5 rather than select over 2.5 with the small odds that you add to the bet builder?
If you see from the statistics of the two teams, don't you know that the advantages of Lens are only in defense and not on the attack line?
No I think you misunderstood what I meant, indeed Lens has good statistics with all the goals scored and conceded during these few matches but all of them are against teams that are still below PSG quality level and I dare to take Over 2.5 not Under because PSG is different from all the team that Lens has played against before.
Also keep in mind that against LOSC alone Lens could concede 2 goal, PSG is much better than LOSC and this is the reason why I dare to take the risk by betting Over 2.5 and everyone has their own way of considering betting options with all the risks involved.
By now you should understand why I took that bet and was willing to take that risk.
Even I am confused how to understand what you are saying.
You bet on over 2.5 because you believe PSG is able to score big.
But you yourself said that PSG and Lens, both teams have a very small number of goals conceded.
And you even admit that Lens has a strong defense but a very weak attack line and that means you should think about other things like Lens will definitely have difficulty responding to PSG.
After that, your final prediction looks ridiculous when you close your prediction only with Lens defeat against Lille when Lens conceded 2 goals.

Try reading your answer again and from some of your other answers. Are you the one who twisted all those facts or am I the one who doesn't understand.

Indeed, a shocking performance from Rennes against a team I hardly pronounce their name. There are a lot of responsibilities from the angle of incompetent Stephen to the angle of players not up to standard and of course, to the irresponsible management who get rid of of about fourteen or thereabout players and recruit ten more unknown average players. They have succeeded turning their club to a training ground that lends and sells its youngsters players. Perhaps, a new couch can give Rennes a new and applaudable performance but truth be told even a new couch would suffer with this kind of recruitment. That's the result you get when you try to make money by selling your best performing players year in year out instead of maintaining them. You definitely end up being a mediocre team when you recruit average players.
Well to be fair, Auxerre is ahead of Rennes at the league table, so it is not a shocking that they won, maybe the four goals part could be the shocking part, but anything could happen in football, just the other week we saw Barcleona win 4-0 against Real Madrid, so seeing Auxerre to win against Rennes isn't really that shocking. The real shocking result was Monaco, who lost to Angers, and they also lost to Nice previous game as well, so that makes it two in a row for them and puts them very far away.

PSG is now leading with 6 points gap already, and they are looking like they are basically ready to lift the title already. Marseille has shown some improvements for the season and at second after this Monaco loss. I believe Lille seems to be the fourth place is the understatement of the year, because they look better than both Monaco and Marseille and just had some unlucky games, I believe they are looking like the second best team in the league right now.

The competition in the French Ligue 1 is getting tighter, especially in the top standing position. Marseille and Monaco are still trying to beat PSG's dominance, initially they were really able to, but lately, both of them have experienced a decline in competence, so that the top standing position was again taken over by PSG.
Now it's
- PSG          : 26 points
- Marseille  : 20 points
- Monaco    : 20 points (performance has declined in the last 3 matches, 1 draw and defeat in a row)

Unfortunately, in Champions League, PSG had a bad result, defeated by Atletico Madrid in the injury time.

Source: Paris Saint-Germain 1-2 Atlético Madrid

Based on the image above, PSG actually dominated and tried to attack quickly many times. However, Atletico Madrid this time was really able to overcome it with a strong defense and turned the situation around in injury time.

Marseille player Greenwood is one of the best scorer in Ligue 1 with 7 goals. He scored like 1/3 of Marseille goals and helped them to be the second, along with the failure of Monaco and Lille. The problem with Marseille is the number of goals they receive and which they cannot reduce. Toulouse in the 12th position and didn't receive as high as them.
I expect him to keep competing Barcola for the best scorer in Ligue 1.
Mason Greenwood has scored 7 goals and 1 assist in 10 appearances for Marseille in Ligue 1 so far. He is ranked 3rd in the top scorers so far, above him is Bradley Barcola with 8 goals and Jonathan David with 7 goals. Meanwhile, Marseille has conceded 12 goals in 10 matches and this is a sign that Marseille has defensive problems which might be called weak compared to some other Ligue 1 teams.

Monaco and Marseille have the same points so far, but because Marseille has a high goal productivity, they still occupy second place in the standings, behind PSG with a gap of 6 points. I don't think Marseille and Monaco will really be able to threaten PSG to fail to defend their title this season, I mean PSG is still very strong with 10 matches so far where they are unbeaten. PSG is still very comfortable leading the standings with a gap of 6 points above Monaco and Marseille.

clubs like Monaco and Marseille do lack quality players because their funds are also tight, if there is a big investor who wants to work with one of these clubs, it might provide fierce competition to PSG because they have the same quality of players as the club, currently PSG is still superior in anything and it is difficult for any club to break PSG's dominance.
Even though Marseille is actually the only team in League 1 that can win the UCL title in its heyday, it is very unfortunate that this club is inconsistent this season even though I think this club will return to its best version and become a challenger to PSG until the end of this season because they also recruited many players in the summer transfer market.

After years, we have good result for French clubs in Champions League which is good sign even PSG is struggling but Monaco, Brest and Lille doing decent job which is good for them but still they needed some good changes which help these clubs for having quality players and consistency because with these changes they can't able to keep themselves into this elite competition at the top which is important for them.

In this match, several Marseille defenders played underperform, but strangely De Zerbi did not replace them. But overall, De Zerbi's team performed optimally, Neal Maupay scored again and so did Greenwood, who also became Man of the Match in this match. Next week, the team they face should not be a problem, but Lens and Manaco are ready to wait and will be tough opponents. After that, Lille will also meet Marseille. if De Zerbi is able to fix his team's weaknesses a little, Marseille is a tough opponent for the teams that meet them in the next few matches. well, how far De Zerbi is able to bring his team to improve, we will find out soon.

Marseille definitely took advantage of the situation, they didn't start as well as they hoped they would, but they got better. Now, with Monaco losing twice in a row, Marseille won one of those and took the lead over them.

Well, when I mean "lead" I mean second place, because we all know PSG is the lead and nobody will get that position, right now, the league is too terrible to beat PSG, even after losing Mbappe, when people assumed PSG will not do that greatly, we are seeing how PSG is still better than everyone else and I am not really seeing how any other team could that position, makes no sense and doesn't feel like anyone else could be better.

Marseille however is doing a good job, beating Nantes helped them a lot, they took the second place, and if they can keep this up, they will get their reward and definitely will make a good chunk of money as well, doesn't feel like it would be a small time thing, we are talking about a huge return in the end.

Actually they don't lack players, but these two clubs, Monaco and Marseille, really need big investors to be able to bring in more European-class star players. PSG is the only team that has won the UCL in its heyday, but not this season because many of the star players have already Terminating contracts and playing for other clubs, such as Neymar was a big influence on PSG becoming champions in the UCL.
Monaco and Marseille seem to be taking steps to see players in the summer transfer market. They will also not be less competitive with PSG this year.
I think this season Monaco and Marseille have made a lot of improvements to their squad, especially Marseille who in the transfer market last summer brought in many great players so I think finance is not their problem so far, indeed from a financial point of view they are not better than PSG, but actually that is not what makes PSG tough enough this season especially after they many star players leave , mentality and also consistency are the main problems of teams other than PSG in ligue 1 so far, because I see when PSG is able to achieve positive results but instead marseille and monaco fail to follow PSG steps and we can even see if marseille and monaco often lose points from weak teams, so I think the main enemy of marseille and monaco to win the ligue 1 championship currently not PSG but I think rather their unstable consistency is a big barrier.
