Does anyone mine ETH on Coinotron? I am not able to connect mining ETH but NeoScrypt no problems. I mine there now with Claymore, I was wanting to try GGS.

I'm using the Radeon Blockchain Compute Driver Version 17.30.1029 for every card.

Well, this is exactly what I was suspecting. I was fairly clear about GGS supporting only Adrenalin 17.12.2 and 18.1.1.
There is not much I can do when you run GGS with a deprecated, unsupported driver.
Maybe I should add a warning about unsupported drivers...

Whenever the pool goes down the miner will cause windows to freeze/crash... I have a really hard time getting back running after that as I keep getting a BSOD "Thread stuck in device driver" like 30 seconds after the desktop boots up with nothing running.. It was stable all day until my pool went down now I can't even get back into windows... might have to reformat again

This is no good... Which driver are you using with which card?

I'm using the Radeon Blockchain Compute Driver Version 17.30.1029 for every card.
Managed to get around the BSOD by going in safe mode and disabling overclocking on startup in Afterburner

a 4x port multipler

Ah, an important detail! Thank you. I always wondered about those 4x port multipliers.
Which algo are you using? Are other algos working at all?

I've only tested Claymores ETH+DCR dual miner and Cryptonite and they were running stable until I started running GGS now the other miners aren't even stable anymore :/
is it possible that GGS damaged my hardware? I didn't press boost performance

Hynix MJR memory is very unstable with TRRD=5 but more speedy on cryptonight.
Does anyone knows what straps parameters can make memory more stable?

What about bug with rejected shares after recieving new job before share accepted? Bug is still exists...

And it's need more info about current difficulty and reasons of rejecting shares.

hey there
I'm having bad issues with this miner since some of the very first releases.
this was my third attempt to make it work with 1.2.18 stable version
the machine is asrock h110 with 8*1060 and 2 vegas FE, drivers are pro q4-2017.
vegas are underutilized as I have no time to deal with it proper, so I thought/sorta hoped that I'll get somewhat better results from them with gg-sharp, as it currently produces very stable 1200-1300 on xmr.(on GG)  I'm using overdrive for clocks and volts.

It tends to work for a while(I'm selecting only 2 Vegas FE and it gives about 1.2KH each on XMR), but then it either hangs or crashes somehow.
this time it did something that caused me to loose my card physically from the remote system (normally working fine for months), probably pulled to much power and one of my raisers got some issues with 12V (freaking molex power!)

Is there any experience with "pro" amd drivers?
Maybe other suggestions for Vega FE?

Great job, dev!  Please, if you may, to add algo blake2s (for XVG)

I have always been a Claymore guy, but your work is simply amazing. I just tried it on a few windows rigs and it works like a charm!

I look forward to seeing it on Linux so that I can deploy it to production.
Keep up the great work!

Windows won't even boot up without freezing anymore this is the second time GGS made me have to reinstall windows. Original GG was way more stable

You can stop auto-start by holding a Shift key.
Also, I am pretty sure you read a warning about modded BIOS.
I would really like to help more, but there is only so much I can do with the limited information you gave me.

I do have modded bios on my RX 470s (1500 straps) is that the problem for all the freezing?

1500 straps could be a real stretch, depending on how high the memory clock is, so I wouldn't rule them out as a cause of instability.

By the way, you can pretty much achieve the same effect by copying only MC_SEQ_MISC1/3/8 from 1500 straps  to the target straps and then applying nerdralph's strapmods (ACTRD=16, FAW=0, T32AW=0, TRRD=5). I have been scratching my head for the last few days in order to stabilize real-time memory timing mods and discovered a few new tricks here and there.

Just reflashed the bios to original and still unstable my setup is 6x Rx 470 using a 4x port multiplier with an old dx7500 motherboard intel e8400 processor its a budget build but works fine with other miners like Claymore, just can't get it running stable on this :/. My other rig using a new motherboard and no port multiplier is running this stable

The straps might be an issue but usually I have seen freezing has more to do the overclock settings.

Does this mean that in any bios it's enought to take original bios straps and copy MC_SEQ_MISC1/3/8 from 1500 strap to 1750-2250 and then applying nerdralph's strapmods (ACTRD=16, FAW=0, T32AW=0, TRRD=5) will give the same cryptonight speed as modded bios?
I don't think that it will work on Hynix MJR memory. They straps maked by ill mind...
[...]

More or less yes, but FAW/T32AW zeroing is not always the best ... as "Speed" is not the only thing we need - we also need stability  Wink

That's right. I'm planning to expose ACTRD, ACTWR, FAW, T32AW, TRRD, and MC_SEQ_MISC1/3/8 so that you guys could play with them.
For CryptoNight, you also need to tweak ACTWR. I'm getting around 900 h/s with CryptoNight and RX 480 without overclocking.
Let's see if I can get this stable...

Sounds very promissing ! Remembers me a bit on the "good old times" when we overclocked DDR/DDR2 Rams on Socket 939 or on the 1st batch of Intel Core2Duos ... If ya need a helping/testing hand - just lemme know  Wink

have you been able to improve ubermix 3.1?
how is it going with vega?
