As far as I can tell, myminer.io is a local service hosted by your miners - so if you can't connect then they may not be connected to your network. Sometimes you'll see a fragment or old version of the page when no devices are connected. How are they connected now?

yeah .. hosted by your miners ..  and you reviewed how many SP-Tech products?

I didn't describe it well.... there is a component of that site which appears to be a local service. Hence the ability to get fragments from crashed units (if they're the last ones) still showing. If it was entirely remote then surely they wouldn't show up.

Please consider filling out a quick survey about my guides to help improve them! You'll be entered into a raffle to win 2x $20 vouchers as a thank you.

Hey guys,

I got my 3 SP20 Jackson's about a week ago and i love them, since they were in my living room - I only ran them at night, now I moved them to an empty room. So when i came home today and power on my rigs, i could not connect to myminer.io. Is Spondoolies-tech server down?

Thank you,

How is the performance in a moderate temperature environment?

eg  -6 to +6 deg C

It improves slightly, and  it does not like a 35c room it does a little worse.

After about 30C you start to lose full hash rate, 35C you're going to have lost full hash rate, 40C then you're down to 1.35TH or so.

I keep my noisy miners in an outdoor shed. Are you saying i will get better than the advertised 1700ghs at 0deg C ?

If so, thats great. any way to get group buy price without rewarding RS? Not interested in supporting people or companies that feel the need to troll others` threads to promote their own products, that behavior reeks of insecurity about something.....

looking for about 16 new miners

no above 1650 is redlining the miners.  and it burns a ton of power.  efficiency drops like a rock.  If you have them in a good room and you have cheap power

run around 1500gh  check power draw. then try 1550gh check power draw. then try 1600gh check power draw.  decide if adding 50 or 100gh is wroth the extra watts.

Hint it really is not for almost all of us.

The SP20 usually achieves more than 1750 GHs in 0C, assuming enough power. It's not very efficient machine at those levels, around 1250-1300 Watt at the wall with good PSU. We do have ASICs variations, the new ones are better.
You don't need to pay the reservation fees. Only 40% are going to RoadStress. It's recommended to do so.

Thanks for this

Will the EVGA 1300w work for this or is it too close to being maxed out all the time

It will work fine.    do you realize the sp20 works far better at 1200gh to 1400gh hash rates?

If you run at 1350gh it costs 750 to 800 watts

If you run at 1650gh it costs 1200 to 1225 watts

Even if you are a free power guy.  try running them at 1400 to 1500gh  as  the 1650 to 1700gh speeds are redline speeds.

I run 8 of them in my home all around 1200gh. They use under 600 watts at this speed.

0a) What to Expect (top)
SpondooliesTech's SP20 brings 8 of their RockerBox architecture to a small form factor device. Two hashing boards are housed in a well designed case
and are cooled with a single 120mm fan. No power supply is provided, but a custom controller is included internally.

0b) What You Need (top)
You will need a few accessories and a power supply to get started. Due to the load required, I would recommend two smaller PSUs over a larger one.

Click your flag to find everything you need to get started at Amazon!

1) Powering (top)
SP20's do not come with a power supply, and you will need a typical computer PSU with 4xPCI-E 6 pin power connectors. Strictly all 4 connectors are
required. We also need to tell the PSU to always be on, as there isn't a motherboard to do this. Cut a paper clip into a U and insert it into the green wire
and either black wire to the side of the green wire. Tape it up for safety. The power supply will now be controlled by its switch on the rear socket.

2) Cooling (top)
A single extremely powerful 120mm Y.S. TECH FD121238UB fan is used in a negative pressure tunnel arrangement and can move up to 200CFM. Each chip
has its own custom aluminium finned heatsink on a copper plate. Noise levels at the default 80% are very loud but also required to reach the rated hash
rate at ambient conditions below 30C. It may not be possible to achieve the full speed above 30C, which may be ~1500GH at 40C.

3) Case (top)
The SP20's case is designed to be stacked top to bottom or side to side. It is meticulously designed all over and each piece fits exactly. With the revised
model (SP20E, pictured), there is no risk of modules moving during shipping.

The shipped weight of an SP20 is 6.1kg, dimensions of the shipping box are 235 x 240 x 495mm. An unpacked SP20 weighs 5.0kg and measures
130 x 148 x 395mm.

4) Configuration (top)
Configuration is straightforward due to the simple due to the on-board controller, web interface and DHCP default.

Wiring:
  • Plug in an ethernet cable from the SP20 to your router.
  • Plug in a power cables from the mains to your PSU. The unit will auto turn on.
  • Power on the power supply using its switch at the back.

Configuration:
  • Using a browser, navigate to myminer.io to see all SpondooliesTech hardware on your network.
  • Click on "Go to miner" to visit the SP20's configuration page.
  • Login using "admin" as the username and password.
  • Navigate to "Pools", enter miner information in the below format click save.
  • Navigate to "Settings" and change parameters as desired. Use basic voltage settings unless you know what you are doing.
