The really ODD part is that it's NVIDIA cards that are in really short supply now, AMD cards have had the pricing jump the last week but they're still AVAILABLE, Nvidia cards 1070 and up are not only price rise some but availability VERY short.

It's not just Newegg - EVGA themselves had very few "available" cards in the 1070 and up range when I checked this afternoon, NONE of the 1070 ti models except the Hybrid, 2 or 3 each on the 1070 1080 and 1080 ti.

Evga should be on track today the 4th  as they are supposed to start shipping again.

 2 1070
 0 1070 ti
 0 1080
1 and perhaps 2 1080 ti models in stock (can't tell for sure on the "members exclusive one".

That's ALL that EVGA had in stock on their web page just now.

3 or 4 models TOTAL across all 4 types of GPU out of 49 models they have in that range.

Yeah this shortage is truly insane!  And it's not just the high end cards any more.  After weeks of no Vega's being available, i jumped on the 1070ti train. Was lucky to get 2 MSI Platinums from newegg at $480/each and 2 ASUS Strix Gaming for about $500/each, all but 1 arriving tomorrow. I even started trying to accumulate MSI rx 570s 8GB and luckily got what now seems like one of the last ones from newegg yesterday for $300. But now those are gone too and can't really find one for under $400, which I will not pay for that card lol. Still seem to be quite a few 570 4GB left around various stores but I am not going to double down on that since I already am running 24 470 4GB cards and need to future proof my current purchases with no less than 8GB.  B&H has a lot of GPUs with "stock expected in 7-10" days but I am not going to tie up money ordering those and then have them end up not shipping at all or being way farther out than that estimate.

That was painful because I needed some coins to buy TRX.
Speaking of this.. I see that TRX is boosting trading volume. I'm not really into tokens, is it a good holder? Smiley

TRX is one of the best projects I've come across - and they have backing from major companies like Alibaba, Lenovo etc. Having 30m users coming on board soon is also a big deal since the mainnet is ready to go live soon. Go read the whitepaper -- its quite impressive. Announcement of partnerships with major players next week is also boosting the price. I got in at 8 cents.... it's currently at 18 cents. I am so sore I took my time to evaluate TRX too long when it was at 3 cents. Well there is no such thing as a bad profit. Good long term hold.

Yeah, I was equally impressed with this project and luckily got in back on 12/27 when it was at 3.6 cents. Just bought 2k that day due to lack of time moving some BTC around, but when i saw it at that same price point 2 days later i bought about 3k more.  Currently it is just about to hit 30 cents lol!  so, up 10x in about a week. Gotta love this crazy market lol!

ehsminer has been popping up in threads for a while now - and quickly getting marked as a scam every time they do.

have they ever opened any kind of sale in the past? They don't even show a semi finished product . .

Like it or not, the evil Bitmain L3+ is currently the best Scrypt miner out there.
...
Hopefully better products can come into the market however, I hope Scrypt market will not suffer the same fate as X11 as more ASICs comes into the market.
...

Tossup for second - the A4+ has been reviewed and has started shipping, and the L21 is a tossup with the L3+

Scrypt has a lot more resistance to new miners popping up - there were a lot more "l3+ unit equivilents" mining scrypt prior to Bitmain entering the scrypt market by a LOT than there were "D3 unit equivilents" mining X11.
Scrypt after all had already had 2 full "generations" of ASIC made and sold for it prior to the L3, while X11 barely had ONE and that not a real big one.
It says a lot that my A2 farm is still MORE profitable right now despite all the new hashrate that has deployed this year than it was a year ago at this time - X11 can't say that or even come close to saying that after Bitmain SWAMPED the market with D3 units (plus everyone else that tossed in quite a few more second-gen X11 miners).

ehs has listed "preorders" on their page intermittantly - folks have mentioned ordering from them at least a couple times I vaguely remember.

It's pretty awesome to watch them pull $10+ per day on a variety of coins recently, and if one coin tanks, then it's trivial to switch over to something else and simply adjust afterburner a little.

What OS do you use to swap exotic coins? I would say the main limitation of nvOC is that it's hard to pick the exotics and stay up to date with miners.
Windows mate, all the way.

Anyone here using nicehash wallet to coinbase wallet??

Would like to know how it’s going
Works fine for me.

If I keep hearing this I might switch back

Working fine for me as well.  I did have that delay this morning for the first time, but it resolved itself within a few hours.

When it paid out what was in your wallet?

My group's Scrypt farm consists of L3+s and A4s. If ever we had to increase our hash, it would be likely L3+.

We were one of the first early A4 user and it was a rough ride - there is a whole thread on that nightmare.

Several firmware later and thanks to several individuals who assisted Innosilicon in the field firmware upgrade - the A4 with latest firmware is stable but the whole episode left a bitter experience.

Hopefully better products can come into the market however, I hope Scrypt market will not suffer the same fate as X11 as more ASICs comes into the market.

Meanwhile, Baikal is still top notch in product roadmap, quality and reliability. Cant wait for the Giant-Bs to arrive soon.
were you able to get a giant b order in?

Yes I got in my order thru Baikal distributor, bittawm -- https://bittawmart.com/

Bittawm is one of my trusted sellers so no problems ordering from him.

No luck getting them direct from Baikal because it was out of stock in no time and limited quantity (unlike Bitmain who likes to flood the market). Baikal authorized distributors have some allocation so I got it from bittawm. Shipping sometime mid January I believe.

@phil - I am thinking of getting a few Moonlander 2 from bittawm too since he is also a Moonlander distributor this part of the world. This project is more for novelty since I have a few Gridseeds lying around... I can setup a small museum...

The moonlander 2 usb stick  is very efficient miner.  It just is costly  90 of them will do about   450-500 mh  but would cost

90 x 65 = 5850  which is way more then the L3+

if you can get some  at a lower price  they would be okay.

Today's payment was 2 hours late...

And counting.  I''m still not seeing anything...

Received mine and took less than 30 minutes to get confirmed.

Yesterday's payment took 8 hours to get confirmed.

That was painful because I needed some coins to buy TRX.
