IYFTech, regarding the Uranus, you can write whatever you wish, but I personally know HC are building two datacenters for this model. The miner exists thats a fact, visit them to make that certain for yourself!

Told off by a noob account with 11/13 posts on this thread....... Roll Eyes

So whats with writing in this topic only? It pisses me off some people have nothing better to do than go and post 650 messages per day. I live in a neighbouring country and have enough info about HC and their equipment. I simply go to Tallinn if I need proof and NOT create some bs from afar.

Dogie, in your Ares 256 review you recommended to set difficulty to 16000+ in Ghash.io pool settings. I tried increasing it to 51000 and the miner is now capable of up to 360 MH/s. Two Ares units output 680-720 MH/s, while retaining the same power consumption! Note: environment temperature is 22C.

Made no difference to me. The higher difficulty will be doing is increasing the period you have to run to get an nice average hash rate, and the only time it should make a difference is if the controller is being bombarded / overloaded by too many low diff shares. I don't see any evidence of that happening at 16k.

Perhaps they would like to update their website, then.  It's still listed as 'under development'.  In addition, if it exists right now, then should we presume that those who have pre-ordered have units on their way, or will those datacenters be built out first?

Well, have anyone an Uranus on hands?..

They don't exist - it's a scam.

I like the miner but it eats up too much electricity 2kw for only 256MHZ  that's crazy power use

Seems to auto clock itself based on temps to always achieve hashrate, so the higher the ambient the higher the power consumption. Mine is about 2500W @ 35C.
Have you tried putting in a cooler environment? like 15c or less? it's help a lot if you could show the graph of consumption/temp

I don't have a testing cell big enough to temp control 2500W at the moment. For a unit this size I don't think its feasible for people to be running at 20C anyway.

build a small farm?  Wink ... a good cooling system that pays off (in terms of eating less through your wallet)
Not sure if I'll build a farm or not of those but thats always an option. Anyway, I haven't researched the topic of cooling methods other that liquid and air cooling, but getting a number of those 256 mining sets at a bargain price and doing something new, not unique maybe, but that'd be more efficient in overalll, that sounds as a sweet idea to me

how many gn sets, or boards for that matter they have left

I think I have an idea what to do with them if I get some.  Roll Eyes

Dude now you are  joking , right ?
Pls, don't get me wrong here. What I was trying to say is - (speaking in general) if some process which results cannot be exactly the same for a number of reasons always returns the exact estimated amount on exit that is not normal. Mining is one of those processes, wouldn't you agree?

I wonder how many gn sets, or boards for that matter they have left. Seems like selling off the older stocks, nit bad. I'm not sure at the power efficiency but looks like a deal to me

It looks as though HashCoins has nothing to offer right now--- the scrypt miner they sell can be bought at Alcheminer for 1/3 the price of Hashcoins and the only Sha256 item they have to sell are the old Yoli boards..... looks like they are trying to sell a bunch of Cloud service...I wouldn't Pre Pay for a Triton or anything else right now since those items have been listed for a very long time and no updates of any kind... I wish they would release something like the 6 Th miner they have been Pre Selling for EVER...
Their Yoli kit actually isn't a bad deal, depending on shipping costs. $280 for a CX750M, rPi, H80i and a Yoli board is reasonable considering Newegg would charge you $180+ for the cooler, PSU and Pi. You'd be insane to order from these scam artists, but at least they are reasonable on their prices.

That system won't pull 550W at the wall running at 650GH/s though.

Really like the PCI-e format of the Triton, almost went ahead and pre-order it, but got discouraged by the $100 shipping fee; does it really cost so much to ship such a small item?

Also, will you send one to Dogie for review so we can all enjoy another SuperHD guide before comitting to buy?

PS: I am unable to see the answers to the questions in your FAQ page with Firefox 36.01/Win 8.1; I had to switch to IE to be able to see the answers.

Hy there Cheesy

Anything new on the topic? I tried to have some conversation with hascoins.com, and they are a bit, let me find the wright word, "lazy" with customer support for some obvious questions about.

a.) Zeus -> Date of Birth = Still no awnser

b.) Hosted Mining Contracts and their fees/hardware-> Instead of clear explenation on the first run, just pointed towards the TOS and then tried to explain

c.) Always trying to sell a 10TH/s Mining Contract where the Hardware "bought" will be shipped to your hands after the ending of the contract or rebuy (no percentual point for price) of the equipment.

So far nothing really negative or positive from my side.

Kind regards,
elrippo.
